Are we on schedule to finish before Gameday?

Yeah - we should be finished by Gameday! Only one more room.

The dragon is an optional encounter. Do you want to go back and encounter it or do you want to call it a day? It's going to be a tough fight.

Storywise, I'm okay either way, although, out of character, I would strongly prefer to be finished before Gameday, which is only 4 days away.

Since it’s an optional encounter, I can get your chronicles out and report it today. Then we can go back and do the dragon fight and not worry about timing. Does that work?

On the topic of stuff, I think there is also some loot we haven't collected yet in the previously trapped mermaid fountain.

I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but magic weapon will stack with smoking sword to provide an extra d8 of damage.

1. Storywise, what was the relationship between the dragon and the kobolds? Were they stealing to appease the dragon or something?

2. Did we miss anything cool at the fountain?

I got that the kobolds were worshipping the dragon and stealing tribute for it in the form of fish and the beginning of a hoard.

It was actually fun to steer a cleric and a rogue. Felt like each class was really contributing in unique ways.

The dragon was their 'pet'... for now. It was newly hatched, perhaps a few weeks to a month old. They were stealing fish to feed it, hence why Tamily was starting to get concerned. The boss kobold, Zolgran, was supposed to be quite evil and malicious and was raising the dragon to be that way too.

There is a little blurb in the adventure saying that if you didn't fight the dragon or fled, it would grow slowly and become a menace for Otari in years to come.

The fountain just had some money. 28 cp, 8 sp, and 2 gp. Nothing too exciting.

Glad you guys had fun! This is a great little adventure. Sorry it took a while to finish.

Partly my posting speed I think lol. How are you finding Gming the system generally and in play by post?

I've enjoyed GMing 2e. It's a fun system and much easier than 1e in terms of GMing. Haven't been playing too much as I'm waiting to play IRL with my gaming group.
