If Desha wants Acts of Compassion. let's go with that. I'd rather we make decisions quickly and keep moving this along. I am really sorry for slowing all of you down with my recent distractions.
| Game Master S |
Sorry guys. I'm pouring one out for RGB. I'll post ASAP after you pick.[/ooc]
Dr. Mech Coy
|
Acts of Compassion because we've someone who requested that specific one.
I would support any of them.
| GM Sedoriku |
Hey guys! You've got an Aid Token! Sadly there are no boosts on it. (Had a level 2 player get crit by a CR 4 Ksarik. Wasn't pretty.)
Enjoy!
Dr. Mech Coy
|
Mech Coy expends a RP to boost Remote Assistance. Pass it on!
We still have boosts and are in good position for Starship Combat. Let’s help someone who will struggle with it.
Trusty Trashbot

GM, regarding your question about timezones... both Dr. Mech Coy and Trusty are in CST, only one hour behind EST.
Hmm
Desha Doash
|
Desha is also CST. In fact, Desha's player lives only a handful of miles from DMC and Trusty!

Gunnery, Resolve Points and Switching Seats
@Reaper
If you decide that you want to preserve resolve points, we can switch seats at any time during this starship slog so that we can keep broadsiding as long as possible.
@Everyone
If you are eighth level or better, remember that you get a bonus resolve point at the start of Starship Combat for any sort of RP-related shenanigans. If you're eighth level look at your resolve point options to see if there's something fun that can use that bonus resolve point!
Reaper Sigma
|
I did forget about the bonus Resolve for starship combat. Thanks for the reminder. Also, if we do it right, this fight will be over before we need to switch seats.

GM, if things are crazy right now, you could probably get a backup GM to help out with the table -- even if he or she only covered the hours that you're in school. I'm serving as backup helping out another table right now.
Hmm
| Game Master S |
Was thinking about that, but I free up to post 1030-1600 for the most part. I'd feel bad for one hour of coverage. We're caught up now.
Dr. Mech Coy
|
If we are to make any progress, I think we need a door procedure and marching order. That way our GM can move us from room to room quickly.
Who checks the doors, who opens them, and what order do we come in?
Trusty and Reaper are probably the best ones to be in front.
I don't care where my character is in the order.
Dr. Mech Coy
|
Alright, here it is.
Trusty and Reaper both check the door.
Trusty opens it, using Engineering if required.
Marching order:
Reaper
Trusty
Dr. Mech Coy
Arratoi
Datch
Patrick
Desha
Change it if you wish, change the map to match that.
I have moved people up to the first door to the north.

Can we discuss this? I didn't go down this hallway, and Dr. Mech Coy specifically said not to go down there? And now he's dead from a hallway that he didn't go down, and a trap that he did not go near?
I'd like us to pause here for a moment.
Hmm
| Game Master S |
Fair. I rushed this room, and should have waited until passing through this room. I suspected it would go south since a few in the party have run this. I went with someone actually examining the mosaic. Since I did say we're going with updated maps, and the map is not updated to show anyone close enough to examine it.
How about this. My solution is a combination of gut experience, and the thread itself:
Arratoi: in the room. The narrative of the trap wiffing, is cool.
Desha: No post
Dr. Mech Coy: Voiced concern, did not enter.
Trusty: No post
Patrick: Definitely in the room as he looks down upon it.
Reaper Sigma: No post
So in my oxymoronic cautious rushing, I think it's fair that we advance as if Patrick and Arratoi are in the room with the dice as rolled.
Dr. Mech Coy
|
I prefer that to dying.
It is a difficult thing, since I am GMing this at the same time. I have been handling that by not examining the details of an area until my group goes there. My group had not made it to the Mosaic, so I felt it was reasonable to express concern.
Thank you for reconsidering on this.

Since we're closing in on the end, it's time for boons!
Roll a d20. If you get a 19-20, roll 1d3 to determine the boon:
Dr. Mech Coy
|
| 2 people marked this as a favorite. |
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Yay!
Which one is it?: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Desha Doash
|
Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Nope! Congrats to those who won a boon, though!
| Game Master S |
We are so close to the end everyone! Borrowing from Dr. Mech Coy:
Don't forget THIS
The magnanimous Zo! thanks the PCs by gifting them a voucher for a one time 10% discount on gear or equipment purchased on Absalom Station for the duration of the adventure.
you guys could really help me out by posting the item, the price, and the discounted price
Dax Thura

You mean this?
(snip)... Furthermore the magnanimous Zo! thanks you by gifting you a voucher for a one-time 10% discount on gear or equipment purchased on Absalom Station for the duration of the adventure.his discount does not stack with any other discount The VIPs also pool their resources in appreciation. Each PC can select a serum or grenade from the Core Rulebook with an item level less than or equal to the group’s APL to receive free of charge.
Nothing for Reaper.

I have 807 credits, so guess I need to grab the money from the scenario to buy something significant.
Looks like we earn 5,835 from the chronicle.
Assuming that is correct, he will be purchasing MotoSpheres.
5600 - 560 = 5040 credits.
Desha Doash
|
Oh that is a good deal! Guess I’ll go for a set of Gloves of Storing:
4600 - 460 = 4140 credits
Desha Doash
|
Actually, scratch that, I’d like to pick up a set of Advanced Darkvision Capacitors:
9000 - 900 = 8100 credits
I had to update my inventory tracking to realize I started this scenario with over 7000cr, so the 5k we’re earning here should make that affordable, if pricey. But hey, a +2 to vision-based Perception checks ain’t nothing!
Trusty Trashbot

Me too. I cannot resist them!
Patrick Messier

Patrick would be looking for either a rather large telescope or a ultra fast computer but, since those aren't really in the rules for purchase
He'll go for the True Frame Camera Scanner at 12,250 - 1225 = 11,025. This is a level 9 item and Patrick is level 8 so, does that count?
If that's not an option - the Pathing Telescope
7000cr - 700 = 6300cr
He's currently got a tad over 10,000cr to spend before payment from this scenario.
Dr. Mech Coy

It is from Armory, I think the limit is your level except from chronicles or CRB.
Patrick Messier
|
You are most likely right - I was wondering if it was offered during the adventure, whether or not it would count as being on the Chronicle.
The other thought was - maybe he'd need the ten grand for psychotherapy :)
Dr. Mech Coy
|
If it is on a chronicle, you could certainly do it. It has to actually be listed on the chronicle though.
The chronicle for this adventure does not list any items for purchase.
| Game Master S |
Hey Everyone!
Your chronicles are HERE. I trust you to fill in your option for the Second Seeker bonus at the bottom. If you need a fixed chronicle sheet, let me know.
I'll keep this thread open for 72 hours or until everyone confirms they're good to go. Thank you everyone and may all your rolls be crits!
Desha Doash
|
Looks like we don't have access to the chronicles, using the link.
Desha Doash
|
Got it! Unfortunately, mine does have an error on it. You've got my character number as 706. It should be 704. No rush on fixing that, but if I could get a corrected chronicle, I would greatly appreciate it!
Patrick Messier
|
Mine looks good - only one minor niggle, using the X to indicate Datch's fate could be interpreted as us killing her, since the X was also used to cross out the irrelevant tiers. It would have been clearer to use the tick, or to use the strikeout line to cover up the option not taken.
I'll fix that on mine.
| Game Master S |

It was reported correctly. I'll fix in the am as I did them at work.
