14 is what you needed. I will let you roll the damage, as I rolled the bare minimum that you could last time I rolled for you.

Quen Pah |

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 guidling bolt at 2nd lvl
The young half elf grabs his medallion of faith and invokes the Healing Hand Mishakel, Quen Illumini, grant us your power and love With your grace strike down this hag who has done great wrong that evil die and good endure.
5d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 6, 3) = 17
Bonus action will cast spiritual weapon as a blue quarterstaff manifests next to the crab.

![]() |

Sorry, due to spellcasting restriction, if you cast spiritual weapon as a bonus, the other spell has to be a cantrip. Looking at the surge of damage, I think it is moot at this point.
Gorum's heavy axeblade cleaves a chunk out of the sea hag!
1d20 ⇒ 15 Remember that there is a crab in your face, so you have disadvantage, but 15+ is still a hit, so...
As she spins from the momentum of the half-orc's swing, Quen's bolt of searing light strikes Madge in the chest, lancing right through her! Her blackened corpse falling to the sand with a sickening splort!
The crabs, no longer under the control of Madge Figgy, click their pincers a couple of times and wander off... no longer hostile. The little eyestalks of Purple twitch a bit, and it leaves Lady Lenedriel alone, heading off to the waters of the Moonsea...
In response to Madge Figgy's death, an echoing laugh emerges from the treeline. At first, you wonder if, somehow, the hag escaped death! Soon, the laughter dies to a giggle as Vigs emerges from the brush. He stomps right up to her body and kicks it! Serve you right, you old bag!
Vigs turns back to you all and hands over the cloak. Then without any further word, he turns on his heel and marches off back to the shadows of the trees... And then he was gone.
Combat over.
--
The battle lasted a mere few seconds and within minutes, a contingent of guards, led by Bourne Casrob, you assume by his dress. The man, transfixed by Lady Lenedriel, walks past you and places his cloak around her shoulders as he bursts into tears!
Through his sobs, you can hear him barely over the returned sea breeze, I never doubted for one minute that you were still alive!
The man sinks to his knees, Oh Emma, my love, can you ever forgive me for losing you?
Lady Lenedriel looks down into his eyes, as she cups his cheeks in her hands, bends down to kiss him on his forehead, There is nothing to forgive.
Just when you feel like you have been forgotten, she looks at you all and says, But we owe these wonderful people much.
Oh! Of course! Of course! he beams, taking her hand in his, Please, all of you. Please join us for dinner and tell me how all of this came to be!
--
The dinner is a feast. You tell the Bourne about you experiences at Wayward, at Butternut Grove, and of your time with Madge Figgy. He has the chamberlain (who had silently thanked all of you when you first saw him as you entered the castle) bring you each a small bag of gold and offers to have his personal wizard make a copy of the cloak that Vigs gave for each of you.
Fin.
You can continue with RP, but essentially we are done! I want to thank you all for a wonderful time! I hope you all had fun!

Quen Pah |

Mender, the gods of light are good and full of compassion and love for those they have created and those that they sustain. Mishakel, offers redememption and healing for all who are in need of it, no matter what kind of healing is there. Though she is goddess of healing, she also defends people.
However, your actions on several opportunities have brought unnecessary danger to us. One of our friends was almost turned to stone and now our mission was imperiled because of your lack of respect for conventions of "mere mortals". The gods of light grant us their gifts and in return teach us that mercy and compassion are necessary. Evil must be confronted but redemption offered. If not, we can become what it is we are fighting against and should we not be offered redemption, the chance to change, then the sword and spell will be our fate.

.Mender |

"You speak as you do from a lack of perspective of the bigger picture, and it is troubling for one devoted to the light. I have never heard of your goddess, but I know well most of the good gods that manage the Sphere of Toril. Let me ask you this: What sort of ruler is one who hides in his castle all day and refuses to rule his subjects? I would say no ruler at all worthy of the title. You mention that I almost got someone turned to stone, yet had he no accountability or culpability for his actions that led to that result either? Should we have killed the beast, trapped as it was? Walked up and slit it's throat, to avoid the fact that one person might become stone? Every action I take is designed to bring the greatest chance of a fast resolution and the least chance of loss of life, yet at each turn I am stymied by mortal fear and inability to act. I am called an ox, and told I bellow, yet was not my solution the best one to deal with the Gorgon?"
"Since we have been travelling together, how many enemies have you offered redemption to, instead of burning them with holy fire? You speak to me of Mercy and Compassion, and I ask: where was your compassion for the child almost murdered by it's mother? Does it deserve no justice? Instead, you and the others talked me out of delivering the justice of the gods to that wretched soul. Will you be willing to take responsibility when the father inevitably cheats again and the mother decides once more to end her life and take her child's with her? Hags can control emotions, but they can't rule minds, which means that somewhere in that woman is the ability to murder an innocent child to hurt her betrothed."
"You speak of compassion, redemption, and mercy, and would attempt to shame me for not offering them, yet I would charge that your conviction is sorely lacking; sorely lacking indeed."
"I believe that it is best that I spend some time away from you all, in order to allow all that I have said to sink in."
With that, Mender removes his cloak, unfurling his fully healed wings, and takes to the sky.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I will allow it. Mender and Quen, remember that you have it, because at tier 2, we don't get it free anymore.

Quen Pah |

and yet my spells were used on animals or creatues of darkneas or were used to keep us alice despite your best intentions. In regards to the child it was I who tended her until a suitable caretaker was found. Fly away and think that you claim to be sacrosanct yet are willing to sacrifice your comrades for your extremly limited understanding of goodness.

Sir Gorum |

Watching Mender fly away, Gorum, standing next to Io, arms folder over his sizeable chest, leans over and says ”and everyone thinks I’m the hard headed one around here.” Shaking his head and sighing,”I s’pose we’ll see him again one of these days. Who’s ready to head back to a real city? This farm country is starting to get old. Come on with us Quen the Witch Slayer, let us show you around a proper city.” Break into a grin, he claps Io on the shoulder and heads for the road.

Ionnis |

Io actually skips a few steps over his excitement to be headed to a city. With people, exciting people, rich people, pretty people. Yeah, he happily follows, totally done with curses and witches. At least for now.
