He waits a moment for a response. If none is forthcoming, he continues to shout, "We know that you are inside. We pray not in distress. Stavarg hears Clarmguard's shouting and begins to move cautiously to the gate along the East side of the fence. He takes one step into the yard, and looks to see if there is any apparent movement between the slats of boarding on the nearby window.

Realizing that the rear door hasn't been checked, Claremguard advances to the back of the house, attempting to ignore the pestering of the boy Pathfinder as he does so.
Moved Claremguard and Jimothy tokens.

The paladin gives the door a quick once over.

Claremguard and Jimmothy fall into a deadly trap and blackness fills their vision as they fall unconscious, impaled on very long and sharp pieces of porcelain. Stavarg and Jain look on in horror as Cillian and Mallycorn round the corner and approach, unsure of what just happened!

Noting missing team members and a large hole in the ground, the investigator quickly surmises the most likely event. "We've got to get down there! Does anyone have some rope?" The elf desperately look around for anything to use as a way to safely enter the pit.

If there is no quick solution (clothes line or such), would it be possible to hang from the lip and drop safely in with an Acrobatics check?

Spikes at the bottom; safely dropping is not an option. Human chain or rope held by friends on top is the only quick option. Nothing offered by the map would help you lower someone to the very bottom where your two prone unconscious friends lie.

Mallycorn steps to the lip of the hole and channels healing energies upon his fallen colleagues. Both of them stir to consciousness!

Soldier's Glory furthers pour healing into Claremguard, "Take charge, Paladin! have them drop a rope and get the kid to climb it! I'll heal the kid next when he's safe and behind cover topside! I sense multiple hostiles behind that door loading crossbows!"

"Pathfinders, Claremguard lives!" cries the paladin from within the pit to his allies above. "But the youth has been skewered! Lower a rope and we shall heft him up! Yet, be warned, for the Honored Blade has sensed a number of threats beyond the portal ahead and believes them armed with crossbows at the ready!"

The holy knight then turns his attention to the bleeding boy. Believing him to be unconscious, Claremguard nevertheless whispers into the boyish Pathfinder's ear, "Cling to life, young Jimmothy Gettum! For soon you will find yourself both restored to health and holding fast to the sword, just as you have so long desired."

Claremguard stands up and hoists the boy above his shoulders for others near the edge to grab him. The boy grabs on to Mallycorn's ankles firmly, no longer in danger of falling if he can merely hoist himself over the lip with his own strength or if one of the heroes topside drag him to safety.

...the sound of more feet converging near the closed door...

...the sound of more crossbows being loaded...

...and laughter... pure, evil, unadulterated pint-sized laughter...
