Story time!
I was running a different multi-table special in a live setting once with a high-tier table. The party was fighting undead and when the Overseer GM came to the back room to see how we were doing, I told my party of four to each raise fingers according to how many negative levels their characters had. Across the party of four, they had ten negative levels. Good times.
The next Thursday, I showed one of the players the spell Death Ward. He's never forgotten it since.
**
Since I'm chatting about negative levels, we should talk briefly about easy ways to get them removed. Your party got the supply store boon, so we can probably assume that a caster is available to help Cleetus (and potentially others) out. The cost for a casting after this encounter is over would be:
Level 4 spell Restoration: 280
Material Component cost: 100
Alternately, Cleetus could wait for 24 hours and risk the Fortitude save to remove the affliction.
Minor sidenote: I've never kept track of how many times I've heard someone say that Lesser Restoration removes negative levels, and I'm always mystified by it.

I want to move on. But i am sure that we have been able all Three. (Unless There need to have multiple success)

Tales from the Tapestry: You are able to recall several stories of Pathfinder agents adventuring in the tapestry and dealing with all manner of differen peoples and creatures, from ratfolk to lizardfolk to ancient mummies and manipulative demons. Bonus: Each time you attempt a Knowledge check to identify a creature in the tapestry, one PC can choose to gain a +2 bonus on the check. Once during the scenario, one PC can instead treat their result as though they had rolled a 20 or gain the benefits of an Average DC result while treating the Knowledge skill as trained.
But we can also use this.

We're not identifying a creature here though.

Okay agents, I've got an Aid Token coming in hot!

Please start picking the next encounter you guys want to go to.
As for the wards, you haven't opened all three. Only the one Torku unravelled by giving some of his blood is undone. You've made some knowledge checks about them, but specific actions need to be taken.
Unless you guys say otherwise, I'm planning to move us forward tomorrow morning whether you solve them or not.

The second quest.
Can someone give a disguised and a message spell? I think that we need to Do.
(I was sure it was à skill challenge (

Not sure exactly what the conditions on the magical communication ward are but could Li Po Wen use his communication with his owl to fulfill it?
Not sure if the message needs to be sent specifically to the ward or just in its presence.
Li Po Wen

I hadn't thought of the empathic connection being a possible way to trigger that one, good idea Cletus, or at least worth a shot. Unfortunately I have no disguise spells and no message spells, which is where my mind was going. Someone with a high charisma could just attempt a straight up disguise skill check, or maybe a bluff? I got nothin' really, but I'll go post trying to use the owl.

I'm GMing a live game after work tonight and I expect it to go late, so I likely won't be able to post again until tomorrow morning.
| GM Netherpongo |
The forums have been down a lot today but maybe better now? I'll get a post up when I can.
| GM Netherpongo |
We are close to wrapping up this encounter. Where do you guys wish to go next?
Cleetus
|
Cleetus is also eager to revisit the temple, however, the evil ritual being performed by the Duergar sounds like more of an immediate problem to him. I vote for the fourth mission.

I'm busy today and won't be able to post again tonight, although I might be able to answer questions today here and there. I'll have another one up tomorrow morning.

This encounter appears to be coming to a conclusion soon-ish. After it concludes, do you want to continue to fight undead, or do you want to move instead to fight the astral invaders?
Conlaoch McCullagh
|
For my part, I say stick to undead. Of course, as a ghoul in training, I may not be impartial...
| GM Netherpongo |
That's...weird. I'm sure I saw an aid token getting passed to us, but it isn't here anymore. Maybe it was in error. No aid token for now.
| GM Netherpongo |
We're being told that the House has accrued the required successes for this part. The next part should be dropping soon, so no need to worry about moving onto another encounter of undead.
Go ahead and do recovery actions, though.

I'll have a post up later today, probably in early evening but it depends on when I can get back to my books. Be sure to take both of your prep rounds.

I love playing Yoon.
Edit: I do have handwave it that someone would have heal Yoon. Since she only have potion. was it okay?

he lizardfolk lend some of their newfound magic to the Society. Muckmouth Secured: You gain one free use of the Aid Token's Burst of Healing benefit.
Round Mountain stabilizes and stops spinning, and the ratfolk emerge from their home to aid the Society in navigating the tapestry. Round Mountain Secured: At the beginning of one encounter, you can activate this benefit to increase the land speed of the party by 10' for the duration of the encounter.
The faithful of Korada disperse from the temple to provide healing to the Pathfinders. Temple Secured: Once during the adventure, you can activate this benefit to instantaneously cure every PC of the following conditions: fatigued, shaken, sickened, dazed & staggered.
Freed slaves from Slave Mountain join the Pathfinders in battling the malevolent forces in the tapestry. Slave Mountain Secured: At the beginning of one encounter, you can activate this benefit to gain a 12 temporary hit points that can last until the end of the encounter.
The kappas of Eternal Lake profess eternal gratitude and heap praise upon the Pathfinders. Eternal Lake Secured: You gain one free use of the Aid Token's Timely Inspiration benefit that the party can use at their discretion.
We should use freed slaves and Round mountain. I think this will be the final fight.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to review what bonuses are available to you and use anything that is pertient. No promises that this will be the last encounter though.

Unfortunately, we can’t ready to attack it if it attacks us from the air (there’s a specific feat for that, ergo we can’t do so without that feat). Our only hope for melee is that it fails a Fly check to hover and falls. So, um, make every shot count, Yoon!

I'm at a PFS convention today and tomorrow. Fortunately, the fight has hit the slugging match point, and we should be able to keep going even if I can't reach my books. My ability to pay attention might be a little spotty, but keep posting and we'll be fine.
| GM Netherpongo |
You guys are welcome!
I got lazier than I thought I would over the weekend. I'll blame it on post-convention ennui. Anyhow...I went hunting through the threads, my email and my paizo private messages for player information. Here's what I found:
Torku - chronicle information but no email to send the chronicle to (please PM me with that)
Cleetus - everything I need
Li Po Wen - nothing
Yoon - nothing
Conlaoch - nothing
It's entirely possible that you guys sent in all the right information for me to finish this up, but I can't find it now either way. So please submit (or resubmit as needed) the information. PM works well if you want to keep your email or other information private. You can use the Campaign Info tab to determine what I need.
The special I ran live on Saturday evening had four 10-11 tier character deaths: three were in the final encounter and one of those characters died earlier in the scenario. Pretty brutal stuff.
