Using the tunnels as cover Deloran pops out and fires but Talbot just ducks his head down behind the cover of his mine cart and the shot doesn't hit him.
D´vost follows Talbot and stops behind the corner to benefit from the partial cover and takes a shot...at one of the stone walls of the mine leaving a nice impact hole.
Exemplar takes off after Talbot double timing it followed quickly by both Idomyll and his drone as they join the chase.
Qwyn moves after Talbot as well and tries a shot at Talbot. Which ends up bouncing of the ceiling and penetrating Talbot's right shoulder from above as it arcs over the side of the mine cart.
Talbot continues to make his way towards the exit of the mine in his little cart passing Deloran on his way there as he takes another shot
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
To hit EAC Deloran: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
E damage if hit: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

D'vost walks next to Deloran and takes the shot at Talbot using a sudden burst of inspiration from being so close to a team member he manages to land a shot
Idomyll catches up with the cart and shouts "TALBOT, WE ARE STARFINDERS. YOU ARE UNDER ARREST. STOP NOW BEFORE SOMEONE DIES! giving Talbot that final chance to surrender, the Lashunta held his fire.
Talbot responds
"No! You will never take me alive!"
at which Idomyll presses the fire button but his hesitation causes him to miss.
Exemplar continues to chase down the cart.
Moving to try and block his escape. Deloran using the cave as cover takes another shot at Talbot and manages to land a very lucky shot at the same time Qwyn rapidly fires and ends up being equally lucky and Talbot goes down inside his mine cart as it slowly start to loose speed and ends up still at the end of the tracks which you are easily able to keep up with.

As you examine Talbot he's quite unconscious and bleeding. A puddle of blood forming at the bottom of the mine cart.
He's also carrying:
Freebooter armor I, static arc pistol, survival knife, The item you were send to retrieve - the charlatan’s stone, and a ring which after careful examination turns out to be mk 1 ring of resistance, as well as 6 credsticks (100 credits each).
Exemplar-2

Exemplar-2 walks up to Talbot where he lies unconscious and touches him casting Stabilize
Qwyn
|
Qwyn rushes to the cable car as Exemplar-2 stabilizes Talbot. He gets out his pair of binders and binds Talbot’s hands, removing any nearby weapons while securing the items they were sent to retrieve...
He murmurs, ”It would appear, we will take you alive...”
Revvy Bitterleaf
|
As Talbot is stabilized by magic his breathing becomes a bit more steady but still shallow and the blood puddle he is in doesn't expand any further.
After Talbot is secured you split up and a few of you stay behind to protect him while the rest checks on the downed miners and the area you fought them in.
The miners carry little of interest, just clubs and tactical semi-auto pistols.
Talbot’s office contains scattered living items, like extra clothes and some nutrient food packs. One of Talbot’s ongoing passion projects, a recently completed but uninstalled armor upgrade, lies on the desk in the office. This turns out to be a brown force field armor upgrade.
What do you want to do now?
D'vost

"How about we call for Phlit <click> to collect Talbot. <click> And we grab a stone and leave this planet.<click>"
D'vost is smiling, happy that they were able to capture Talbot. It feels good to fulfill the contract.
D'vost
|
D'vost nods to the idea of resting. He moves the enemies to one room and takes a 10-minute rest.
Can we contact Phlit using comm unit, and ask him to show up in here?
D'vost suggests taking turns while resting to keep an eye on the enemies.
Idomyll
|
Idomyll uses the time time repair his drone, which after a brief examination is in desperate need of fixing. As he works he says "Are we actually going to call Philt? Maybe we should bring Talbot back to the Starfinders for justice."
How long are we going to rest for? I am going to use my Daily repair for 1 HP, Then I can spend 1 resolve per 10 minutes and can heal 4 more HP but we will need to sit for 50 min. Which might be too long.
D'vost

"I remember Venture-Captain Arvin saying:<click> 'Talbot’s not worth the expense <click> of dragging back here<click>, so you can do whatever you think is necessary with him.'<click>. On top of that, we have a deal with Philt.<click> That is why I suggest to honor it, yet I would like to hear what others think.<click>"

@D'Vost you don't contact Phlit, Phlit contacts you
-Phlit responds to D'Vost and Idomyll "You make a lot of sense. If you promise to hand over Talbot to the AbadarCorp before you leave the planet we will wait for you to return here. We would prefer to have Talbot delivered to us alive, but we do not require this.-
And feel free to take all the time you want to heal, in this case it won't matter

"Other than stealing and betraying the Starfinders, Then tricking a corporation out of money. And the whole trying to kill us to escape thing, is he really a bad guy that deserves the fate of Phlit? Who will most likely kill him in a very painful way. Talbot was a Starfinder once after all. I am just thinking is there anyway that Talbot could come back to the light?"
Will spend one of his last RP to heal

[dice=Healing Channel] 2d8
Small difference between Pathfinder and Starfinder; You need Resolve to regain Stamina, restoring hit points (which channel energy does) does not restore stamina at all. Spending resolve does not heal hit points either, just stamina

Having by majority vote decided to deliver Talbot to Phlit you pick him up and carry him back from the mine toward town.
At the bar Phlit meets up with you and after you drop Talbot at his feet he snaps his fingers and one of his bodyguards goes to secure Talbot.
'It's good to see some Starfinders are good to their word"
Philt then continues to say"The drive and loyalty the townsfolk demonstrate—however misguided—inspired me. AbadarCorp has long considered the construction of a shipping hub outside of Maro. Such a facility would keep cargo destined for transport throughout the Pact Worlds away from Maro’s local gangs and criminal organizations. Philt believes that Tasch could serve to staff this shipping hub and provide infrastructure for guards, pilots, and corporate employees.
Such construction would also mean gainful employment for all the townspeople."
Having completed your mission you say farewell to Phlit and his bodyguards and returns to Absolom station to deliver your report.
Venture-Captain Arvin is pleased with your missions success and the return of the charlatan's stone.
He offers to pay for a round of drinks at a bar popular with many field agents. As you get ready to leave to get your drinks, Arvin tends to the charlatan’s stone, securing it in the Lorespire Complex. Before he departs, Arvin informs you;
"Get some rest after your night of enjoyment. I am confident I will have another assignment for you soon."
