"NO!" cries Not-Trixie in alarm as her companions attack the soulsliver next to Morrolan's unconscious form. "If that thing explodes next to him, it could kill him!" She races forward, options racing through her head as fast as her supernaturally-speedy feet. Please work please work please work she thinks as she throws herself over the fallen dwarf, trying to cover his most vulnerable spots.

I forget if unconscious characters automatically fail Reflex saves, but maybe this counts as cover? Or she's deliberately failing her saving throw so that he has a better chance of making his?

Frozen Flame + Dragon's Demand

Grel, you actually would have hit due to the evil eye.

As everything is happening simultaneously, I think we should do things in the most advantageous order, here.

Morrolan looks stable, but due to his many wounds, and the proximity of the enemy, Tholgrin rushes up and heals the fellow dwarf, bringing him gasping to consciousness. Trixie rushes up and throws herself on top of Morrolan, giving him cover.

Skewed by many arrows, the last librarian explodes in a spray of glass.

Piercing/Slashing: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3) = 16

Reflex saves DC 16:

Tholgrin: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Styfis: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Trixie: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Grel: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Morrolan (cover): 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 4 = 17

Morrolan is again plunged into unconsciousness due to the spray of glass, but the cooperation of his teammates saves him from death.

The last soulsliver shatters with a loud crack, and at the same time, the scrying mirror set into the floor bursts into a fountain of sparkling dust. You are free to search the Planar Cosmology collection.

In this section, Knowledge (planes), Spellcraft, or Appraise check could help you select the most valuable books.

You also find a neatly-bound collection of notes on the floor near the now-broken scrying mirror. A cursory examination of these notes shows that they were penned by Hao Jin, herself, who was researching a variety of locations, including known sites across Golarion, several cities throughout the Inner Planes, and unrecognizable numerous destinations (sites on the Material Plane but well beyond Golarion’s solar system). However, her extensive itinerary culminates in a major visit to Axis, the Outer Plane of absolute law.

On the table to the southwest sit a ring and an amulet.

Detect Magic:
Tsura can easily identify these as aring of spell knowledge III and an everwake amulet of natural armor +2.

Frozen Flame + Dragon's Demand

Tsura piles together the most useful looking of the esoteric texts in the Planar Cosmology section. You are also able to piece back together the fragments of six mirror that were spread around the room and reassemble them in the frame that sits in the nook in the room's northeast corner. You should be able to use it to return to the main portion of the library.

Anything else you folks want to do inside the library? There's a little more RP with the kobolds outside before we wrap up.

Tholgrin would like to earn the name he claimed earlier and set a trap in the Kobold tradition, something that grabs the person who set it off and slams them with a hammer. Using a point of inspiration for the untrained check!

Grel thinks it would be a respect to the kobolds to participate in their ritual.

Grel separates a panel of the stone wall such that it teeters. Brushing against it would collapse on the target. Perhaps they'll give me one of those funny names.

Casting Stone Shape and using my Craft (Pottery).

Frozen Flame + Dragon's Demand

The sun is rising outside of the library when the you emerge, and the Scalebreaker kobolds greet you warmly.

"Hurray, you're all alive!" exclaims Bridge-and-Logs. "I didn't think the evil spirits would get you! How many completed the rite of passage?"

Hearing about your adventures in the library, Bridge-and-Logs consults with some of the other attendant kobolds, then straightens up and faces you a bit more formally.

"Due to your actions inside the sacred ground, we proclaims several of you to be adult kobolds!" Then, he mutters more quietly, "Always good to have some more of those around!"

Pointing to Grel, he says, "We name you Tipping-Walls!"

Continuing to Tholgrinm he says, "You will be known as Surprise-Smash!"

To Styfis he says, "Finally, to the tallest kobold, we give the name Arrow-Sandwich!"

"Wear your names with pride! You can always count on the Scalebreakers if you need anything." At this point, Bridge-and-Logs is squinting at the rising sun.

"Hmmm. Sun's coming out--not so nice for kobolds around here now. Time to look for a new place for the tribe to live, I think."

The kobolds invite you to feast with them, and you are welcome to take as long as you like to hang out.

When you return to Skyreach through the planar eddy, Ambrus Valsin debriefs you and listens eagerly to your report. He notes that the Society has lessons to learn from the librarians’ mistake and congratulates the team on taking the first steps toward finding one of the most famous missing people in the world. Winning the tapestry has been a great boon for the Society, and they stand to learn even more if they can find Hao Jin herself.

A few days later, you receive a note from the venture-captain. According to the note, Krieghton Shaine’s apprentices have begun sorting the documents you brought back. Their examination has already revealed some magical books with their auras disguised; the Society may be able to offer the team a discount on these books in appreciation of your hard work.

Excellent work, all. Full prestige and full boons. Chronicle Sheets are up here and I've reported the game through the Online Lodge. Let me know if I messed anything up on your sheets.

Not-Trixie grins as Bridge-and-Logs asks about traps. ”Why, yes, I have also made a trap - a most devious and unavoidable trap. You’ll never find it, no matter how hard you look. But you’ll be caught nonetheless!” She points to a small, nondescript sign that reads (in both Common, Tien, and Draconic) Watch our for Not-Trixie’s trap!

Not-Trixie’s trap is a trap of the mind - a trap of knowing there is a trap without being able to find it because it doesn’t exist physically. But knowing that her trap is there, a creature will always be worried about triggering it. Little do they realize that the worrying is the trap! Haha! (She can explain this to the kobold if need be, but only to the elder.)
