With not much to do, Sam cheers on her companions from below. Feel free to change this if you have something you want to do.
Laurel strikes true, critically injuring the creature in the head. Though most of his damage from the attack injures the creature, it still resists some and remains standing after the blow.
Turning to Laurel, the creature bites and slashes Laurel, managing to maintain its grip on him with its sharp, ragged teeth. As the creature holds on to him, he can feel something inside of his body beginning to tug and pull towards the creature. 7 damage + grappled.

Yeah not a lot I can do. Bless is still active. I'm afraid channeling will heal it, which seems like a bad idea given its dr.
Sarela Falrin
Sarela, having ascended the ladder, fixes the esobok with a stare and curses at it, hewing poor luck upon it before cackling madly.
Standard action to use Misfortune hex on the esobok (DC 15 Will negates), move action to cackle and extend the durations of all active Fortune and Misfortune effects (That includes Mithralline's).
Aralah T'Forc
Blargh... not sure how I missed you were waiting on me :P. Someone ping me in Discord if I am holding things up for multiple days.
Aralah maintains her position with the creature still so close to the top of the ladder and does her best to try and hit it with some arrows.

Sam says bless is up, but I don't see it in the listed attacks. I'm going to assume Mith didn't add it and has a 13 which hits it grappled. If it already accounts for it let me know because it would miss otherwise.
One of Aralah's arrows strikes the creature, but its damage is greatly reduced.
Failing to stand up to Sarela's hex, the creature takes a full damage blast from Mithrallien's warhammer, the first time the group has delivered damage without being impeded.
Still holding on to Laurel, the psychopomp finishes tugging at Laurel's essense and begins to rip the soul from his body. DC 14 Will save to prevent your soul from being stripped from your body + Force Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6, otherwise lose your soul and become paralyzed!

Maybe someone wants to Aid another? I accounted for the bless this time, so need a +1... Also, this is the sixth d20 I've rolled since we encountered this thing. Five have been in the single digits.
Aralah T'Forc
Even though her arrows aren't as effective as Mith's hammer there isn't much she can do without getting closer and that just doesn't seem like a good idea. Instead she tries to focus on her shot and continue plinking away at the creature.
Going to use Perfect Strike

@Mith your bad dice rolls are in good company... Also, sadly can't aid from ranged apparently.
Sarela Falrin
Both Laurel and Mithralline have Fortune active. You can reroll one d20 roll per round.
Sarela cackles as the esobok suffers her ill luck, then pulls out her dagger.
Move action to Cackle, extending all active Fortune and Misfortune effects, then draw my dagger.

Nothing from me. Once I get a second spell level, that will help significantly.

Laurel may make a new save each round to try and reclaim his spirit while the psychopomp holds onto it in its mouth.
The party fails to connect with any strikes against the creature that is holding Laurel and the pscyhopomp keeps Laurel's spirit in its possession, preparing to swallow his soul for itself. While it chews on the glowing white substance that it wrought from the cleric's body, it slashes at Mithralline twice. It's clear that the creature's focus on devouring Laurel's soul more than injuring the charger, both attacks missing.

Sarela menaces the psychopomp with her dagger, trying to make it jump into Mithraline's hammer. She then cackles at her actions. Her fighting this thing up close and personal was simply absurd!

You get a save each round. Since you saved, you are no longer paralyzed and can take a standard round of actions. You're not going to kill it, so I'll just let him act and you can take two rounds of actions.
Laurel manages to break free from the psychompomp's paralysis as his soul is sucked back into his body, thanks entirely to the fortune bestowed upon him by Sarela. Laurel only gets a single breath in before the creature reaches out and bites him all over again, once more tearing the soul back from his body into its jaws. DC 14 Will save to prevent your soul from being stripped from your body + Force Damage: Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4, otherwise lose your soul and become paralyzed (again).

With the esobok dispatched, the party regroups up at the top of the ladder and finally takes a moment to look around.
This long room atop the gatehouse has several narrow arrow slits to the north and south. Each is 2 feet high and only a few inches wide. The room is bare except for a ladder descending from an alcove at the room’s eastern end. A low door stands in the center of the north wall, with a small, square window at the typical eye level for a human. The window is inset with a small metal grill, which has been stuffed with humanoid teeth.
Aralah T'Forc
Laurel I have 1 more CLW for the day if you want it, otherwise I will save it in case it is needed to save someone later.
Seeing Laurel is a bit better now Aralah moves to check the door before looking back at the others and asking "Well, looks like this may be the prison door, so are we continuing on then?"
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
GM ShadowLord
Looking through the door, Aaralah is quite surprised what she finds behind the door. Expecting a prison, she finds a long bridge that stretches from the door at the top of the guardhouse to a door at the top of the palace. The southern half of the bridge arches above the courtyard 30 feet below. The northern half of the bridge has a drop of only 10 feet to the roof of the castle below. The bridge is only a few feet wide and has no handholds or railings. The door at the north end of the bridge is flanked by several narrow windows, each 2 feet tall and only a few inches wide.

She looks around.
"More teeth means we're probably still heading in the right direction. Is everyone ready to go on?"
While the others get themselves situated, she takes a closer look first around the room, and then at the door.
