Raising that Talitha must encounter a Zombie Minion henchman (Combat 9).
Merisiel - WilderRedbeard
Merisiel encountered the villain top-decked at Canyon. Talitha will need to discard her hand for the temp close check at Windswept Chasm if that's agreeable. I have a good shot at defeating.
Ekkie - Salvager
As mentioned in Hangouts; I will be travelling over the next 4 days. I will try to arrange methods so I can still post once a day, but expect my posting rate to sharply decrease.
I wholeheartedly endorse any player botting Ekkie as often as is necessary, and I've left some short (if rather vague) notes on botting her in her deck handler. Make a copy of her Deck Handler to make alterations yourself, of course.
(In short; Explore a lot, evade if you can't find good odds of beating a bane with your cards, try to cycle through healing effects like Staff of Minor Healing ASAP.
Oh, and add 1d6s to most of her checks with her power.)
Ekkie - Salvager
As one last gift before I go; I've created a read-only shared Deck Handler for the party, which I believe the BR intends to include in the campaign header.
This simply acts as a single sheet which gathers all 4 players' hands, notes and displayed cards, as well as a count of their remaining deck size and discard pile. It's a good tool to tell at a glance what blessings are available across the table, or who most needs healing.
It has some conditional formatting to highlight cards with "blessing" in their name; I can add more conditions if you want me to highlight any other particular card.
For the time being, it can be found at this link; let me know if you want me to make any adjustments!
Merisiel - WilderRedbeard
Merisiel has finished her turn. I posted it in spoiler text since not everyone has chosen a location and starting hand. Talitha is up.
Merisiel - WilderRedbeard
Merisiel is willing to temp close for the villain combat as long as everyone else can take 1 Mental damage that cannot be reduced. Can Talitha absorb that damage?
Ekkie - Salvager
So I've been meaning to ask... what's the meaning of the "Remove Curse (Defensive Shock)" in Talitha's deck?
I assume that it's actually Defensive Shock (from the Magus Class Deck), hence why it isn't just discarded at end-of-turn or otherwise replaced (as Remove Curse has no effect in Rise of the Runelords), but I'm not sure why it's not just listed as Defensive Shock, then. Is it just a reminder to replace it with Remove Curse as soon as possible after the Special?
Talitha by Kroll
I've got Defensive Shock in my deck. At the beginning of each scenario, when I go to the traders, I go to the one that allows me to get a "B" spell. And for that spell, I've chosen Remove Curse.
So, at the end of the scenario, Defensive Shock goes back into my deck. I use "Remove Curse (Defensive Shock)" as a way of reminding me what card was replaced by Remove Curse.

We have no traders in this adventure deck, however. I think this is why it caught Yewstance's eye. We also don't get access to loot we've gained with these characters in other adventures, as those are limited to their respective adventures.
If it comes up, you should treat that card in your deck as actually being Defensive Shock (which is probably what you've already been doing, case in which, ignore all of the above).
Ekkie - Salvager
Indeed. Rise of the Runelords has no effect that can cause Scourges/Curses to show up, since they were introduced in Mummy's Mask. Furthermore, this adventure doesn't use Traders - in Organized Play, that is limited to Seasons 3 and 4, and it's a season/AP based rule to allow them at all, since the Traders are from the Mummy's Mask box.

Mavaro will choose Helm of Telepathy for his future reward. I don't think I'll be taking an upgrade.
When rebuilding my deck, I am going to choose to treat my Armor of Pockets as an item. I'm missing an item from my deck after rebuilding, so I am going to put Harrowing Deck in my deck.
I also end up with an empty armor slot, so I'll fill it with Crystal Mail.
Spells-wise, I am going to remove Candlelight and Locate Object from my deck as they are over the amount of spells I can hold.
Merisiel - WilderRedbeard
Merisiel will set aside Menacing Backsword +1 (Weapon 2) for the future deck upgrade.
She will choose and Ally B for a deck upgrade and replace Troubadour with Dredge.
Ekkie - Salvager
Boon for little old Ekkie?: 1d20 ⇒ 1 -> Neat, a lucky table!
Ekkie will take the Ally 2 Deck Upgrade, and replace Stankrush with Shy Ratani (Ultimate Equipment).
Ekkie banished Potion of Healing and Rochin during the scenario, and will re-fill her empty weapon slot with Rochin again, and re-fill her empty Item slot with Thieves' Tools.
Ekkie will set aside Goblin Pickles (Goblins Fight!) for a future Deck Upgrade.

For the reward for the latest scenario, it looks like Option 1 benefits one of us, while Option 2 benefits the whole party in a more subtle way.
My vote is for option 2 so that we all get to enjoy the reward.
Additionally, I would suggest that if we do end up going for Option 1, we decide who gets to put the ally into their deck at random (since that character would get an additional skill feat!).
Merisiel - WilderRedbeard
I vote for option 1. The option 2 reward is only able to be used once for the adventure whereas one of our characters will get a skill feat for the life of the character.
I like the suggestion to randomly select who gets the ally card.
Ekkie - Salvager
I vote for Option 1, and also recommend random distribution of the ally. Option 2 feels like a very small effect, that loses any significance after this special (which I believe is only one or two more scenarios long).
(And, in regards to the comments had in Hangouts, yep; Blessing of Lady Lastbreath explicitly skips my movement step, so the scenario power didn't apply. I did that twice that scenario. I can't really say I know for certain what that implies for other cards that are played during your move step.)
Additionally, I note that Talitha buried her blessing that I used on the villain check (assuming that Mavaro would close), but that's fine; I passed both villain checks even without it.
(As for deck upgrades, Ekkie's only interested in an Item B)
Talitha by Kroll
Option 1.
Random player gets Zaleh
No upgrades.
One more scenario and I move up to Tier 4.
Mavaro - Akaitora
|
This is my 3rd scenario completed at Tier 3, so no Tier rewards.
I gain the delayed reward from last scenario: Helm of Telepathy. I will swap it with my Crystal Mail. I end up having 1 too many armors, so I'll banish Armor of Pockets.
For this scenario's deck upgrades, I would like to take an Item B upgrade to put Spellbook back in my deck.
I will also choose to treat Bound Lantern Archon as an item. This leaves an empty slot in my deck that I will fill with Chronicler.
Mavaro - Akaitora
|
After the replay, Mavaro will shift around his deck some.
I would also like to grab an Armor B deck upgrade, unless someone wants them (we have 2). With it, I will add Armor of the Sands to my deck.
Mavaro's deck has too many allies, so I will choose to banish Bound Lantern Archon, leaving Chronicler and Cleric of Nethys in his deck.
Then, I will choose to treat his Helm of Telepathy and Armor of the Sands as items. This creates an empty armor slot in my deck, which I will fill with Shield Cloak.
This leaves me with too many items, so I will banish my Shrunken Head to make space.

Hey Nathan, is it a lot of work to update the Party Sheet to include the current set of players? If not, would you mind doing that? I'm realizing that I rely on the party sheet a lot to see what sorts of cards/abilities the other players may have that could be relevant to my turn. Thanks!
Aric Z.
Hey Nathan, when you get a chance would you mind removing Aric and Red Raven from the active player list so that this game won't show up in my play list? Thanks!
Ekkie - Salvager
I've fixed the Party Sheet.
For Nathan's benefit, you can remove active players from the campaign (so they don't fill up their campaign lists) by editing the Campaign Info tab, then scrolling down until it shows the player and character lists with checkboxes next to each.

Merisiel passes Talitha a Toxic Cloud (Spell 2). The card text is listed in her post on the Gameplay thread.
Talitha by Kroll
Scenario Card Feat: Spell
Scenario reward
I choose spells
3 Dimension Leap
3 Resist Energy
2 Blade Lash
1 Fiery Weapon
1 thunderstomp
B Brilliance
B Call Weapon
B Phantom Shield
B Unerring Weapon
Nine to choose from: 1d9 ⇒ 9
Yay!, its unerring weapon. I guess I won't take it.
I'd like to get one of the Spell 2's 1d1000 ⇒ 448. Otherwise I'll take Unerring Weapon as my new spell.

This is Mavaro's 4th game at tier 3, so he will get a Card Feat: Item.
For the adventure reward, he will get another Card Feat: Item.
For the scenario reward, he will choose Blessing:
1 - Blessing of the Spellbound
2 - Blessing of Pharasma
3 - Blessing of Sivannah
4 - Blessing of Toth
5 - Blessing of Master of Masters
6 - Blessing of Nethys
7 - Blessing of Isis
8 - Blessing of the Qi Zhong
9 - Blessing of the Gods
10 - Blessing of the Gods
11 - Blessing of the Gods
12 - Sign of the Pack
13 - Sign of the Pack
14 - Sign of the Lantern Bearer
15 - Blessing of sarenrae
16 - Blessing of Cayden Cailean
17 - Sign of the Stranger
18 - Sign of the Rider
19 - Blessing of Sivannah
20 - Sign of the Mother
Random Blessing: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Sign of the pack isn't very good. I'm unlikely to take that as an upgrade.
I don't think there's anything much Mavaro needs from the deck upgrades we were able to obtain, so I'm likely to not take one.
Mavaro will tier up to Tier 4. His role will be Hoarder. He will get the Power Feat: "If it is of your favored card type, add 1d6 to your checks using those skills."
Since 2 item slots were opened in my deck, I will fill them with Byzantine Lexicon and Compass.
Lastly, I will treat Helm of Telepathy and Shield Cloak as items when re-building my deck.
Ekkie - Salvager
During the scenario, Ekkie banished Potion of Healing.
Scenario Reward: Ekkie draws a random blessing from her class deck.
6. Blessing of Hadregash
7. Blessing of Lamashtu
8. Blessing of Bark Breaker
9. Blessing of Venkelvore
10. Blessing of Venkelvore
11-14. Blessing of the Quartermaster
15. Blessing of Besmara
16. Blessing of Horus
18. Blessing of Abadar
19. Blessing of Hshurha
Another 2 scenarios completed: Ekkie makes a Player Boon roll, as before.
Boon for Ekkie?: 1d20 ⇒ 3 -> Nope.
Adventure Reward: Ekkie earns a Card Feat, and checks off...
Blessing: 4 [X] 5
Adventure Complete: Ekkie earns a Die Bump (now 2).
Deck Upgrade: Ideally, Ekkie would like a Blessing 1 to add Blessing of Horus (Ultimate Equipment) into her empty Blessing Slot. (She won't take Blessing of Bark Breaker into her final deck)
Second preference is an Item B for Potion of Healing (Goblins Fight!).
Empty Slots: Ekkie will be refilling her empty Item Slot with Thieves' Tools.
Ekkie - Salvager
In case I need to roll for it...
Deck Upgrade: Blessing 1: 1d1000 ⇒ 293
