Based on my knowledge of the skeleton’s inner workings, is it a fully self-contained unit, or does it receive its “programming” from somewhere else the way a Rockafire Explosion bot would?
The audio animatronics featured in Pirates' Landing are fully self-contained units. They are miracle of old-school Mousineering!

I was waiting for Mortimer to post before I make a move, but you can go ahead and make another move now and I'll factor that in to the next post.
There aren't any "turns" in this game, per se. The onus is on the players to make moves, and I interpret the results. If you fail a move, then I can counter with a so-called "hard move" which gives you consequences for your failure.
If Mortimer hasn't posted in a few hours, I will move things along.

To my knowledge, do the service corridors in here continue throughout the entire ride? (Meaning, could Henry and I use them to catch up to the boat as it heads to the next area?)
The corridors don't go through the entire ride. You could use them to get to the area just past the waterfall to catch up on the other side though, if you hurry!

Is the pathway where the voices are coming from the only accessible exit to the room that we're aware of right now? (Not including the tunnel that the boat just flew out of.)
You can cross the track and take a passage behind the boat on the opposite wall to try to sneak past them, though doing so would require you to be bold and daring to avoid detection.

One other question (not sure how well I know the layout of this ride): do these two passages have doors, and if so, which way do they open?
There are doors that open outward, so in theory you could try to barricade them from this side to prevent anything from coming through them.

One other question re: the tablet diagnostic. Did it indicate anything about how the boat's increase in speed came about? Trying to determine if it's the same weirdness affecting the animatronics or if Ethan just pulled the wrong lever.

Does the village scene have some sort of control panel setup somewhere that I'm aware of? Wondering if I can create a distraction with the lights or other technology to help us sneak past.
If you succeed on FINDING SOMETHING THERE THAT WASN'T THERE BEFORE, then you can find a panel like that.

What move would it be to try and throw/push the robots into the water so they (hopefully!) short out? Be bold and daring, or Go the distance?
Definitely Be Bold and Daring if they are unaware of your presence. After you make the first attempt to push them in, though, then it would be a roll to Break Some Femurs, since they'll be trying to harm you, and you'd have to roll 10+ to be able to physically force them where you want them.

I'm sorry to say I gotta drop out of this game. It was fun, and a fantastic concept, but I have some other games I want to focus on. I hope the game doesn't die due to lack of posting and I want to say thanks for letting me join!
