Hi! I want to gather a group for an online run through the first adventure of Doomsday Dawn, Lost Star.

Looking to start as soon as 4 people sign up. Want to make it fast and rough.

I am interested. When would you be starting?

I'd be interested as well. What sort of parameters are we looking at?

Count me in.

I’m in for fast and rough

Am I too late?

Playtest rules. Custom characters, lvl 1, 150 sp for item purchase, all common items available.

You have to use the backgrounds from the Doomsday Dawn adventures.

Lost Star, the first chapter, is a rather straight forward dungeon crawl. I will be using Google Slides for the maps.

Looks like we have four players, so if you can generate characters by the end of Friday, we will start on Saturday.

You are fifth, fine with me. (:

Grand Lodge

Also, if you have your characters ready earlier, we can start earlier.

I'll try to get mine done after work. Should be up yere by tomorrow. Thinking about a dwarven cleric of Desna or Pharasma.

Will get mine done ASAP. Thinking either a Pally of Iomedae or fighter

Interested in a sixth?

Full disclosure, I'm going to GM this part on Thursday evening, so if that's a deal breaker, no worries. Just interested in playing!

Grand Lodge

I am not sure I am proficient with the rules enough to adjust the encounters to provide the correct challenge to six players.

So it's a pass for now. If this one goes well, I will run another table. I could invite you then, if you are interested?

No problem! Yep, keep me posted. Thanks!

I'm gonna bow out, actually. Been having trouble getting motivated lately, and apparently this is now exception. Don't want to take a player slot if I'm not sure I'll stick with it, especially when others want in.

Grand Lodge

Damn it, we are bleeding players already. martinaj, be safe and get better soon. I can understand very well being without motivation. Actually the playtest got me motivated enough to start being active again.

Jason, if you are still reading - you are in.

Alright, just about done with my character. Do you have a format you'd prefer to have these submitted in?

Also, do you want the ability boost allocation listed or just the final ability scores?

Cool. I am new to Paizo but not PBP. Do we have any other threads yet? I see we have a tank, so far.
I am thinking a ranger for DPS and potentially set up for multiclassing if needed.

Here is the start of Ethylian my Elf Ranger:

so we have a ranger and a paladin. I've been working on a bard, but I'm traveling and it's slowed me down

I’ll take a look at a Caster Druid and see what i can make.

Thanks to RobL for the heads up! I'm here and interested. I was thinking Dwarf Bard, but I'll give Rob the bard spot and go with Human Angelic Sorcerer instead. I'll try to work it up here in the next bit while I'm still up. :)

For PF1 I am most used to the Herolabs format in the Character description. For PF2P - no idea, to be honest. Got any good ideas?

This time, show me all the boosts, please. I want to follow all the mechanics I can, to better learn it.

I just started a gameplay thread for the 1st chapter. Not much there yet, but you can start introducing your characters.

Did you read the background info on the adventures?

I recommend the editable pdf I posted my work in progress as.

I looked through. Seems legit, only nitpick - you should put your "message" in the cantrip section. Just to keep track of it.

slowly getting this character ready. sorry, limited internet this week-

Should have everything figured out for me. Just need to write up a digital version, but that will have to be tomorrow.

Alright, I swear when I started out I was going to make a human, but then I saw the Backgrounds in the setting and inspiration struck. Don't hate me! ^^;

Sheet: TinderTender

Have a background mostly written up if you want it too!

I hope to finish up her gear this weekend and then she'll be ready to roll. I prob'ly won't be able to pretty up her character page for several days though.

Bought all the gear, but need to type it out. I’m filling out an editable PDF, but everything (aside from gear) is typed out and ready.

I was waiting for this one! (: Yes, I am curious about the background.

Here Background!:
A goblin thief had a nightmare that he saw a shiny sword and looked at it longingly until he went blind reaching for it. In his dream he shouted "Me no steal shiny! We deal! I see! I no take shiny!" and got his sight back, only when he did, he saw the home the sword was in was engulfed in flames and very quickly, so was he.
Later that night, the big boss took them to a hill overlooking a small town and pointed out their target. Stores of food were in a building marked with a shiny sword. While looking on, the light in the town reflected off the sword brilliantly and hurt the little goblin thief's eyes. Remembering his vivid nightmare, he warned the big boss that they shouldn't raid it, but in their argument, the little goblin thief was chased off.

Being the superstitious sort, the little goblin thief was worried if others stole the sword that he might be blinded as well as them anyways. So he set out to warn the villagers of the coming raid. Only no one would listen to a goblin. Most chased him off with intent to harm him had he not fled.

By the time he stopped fleeing and hiding, it was time for the raid. The little goblin thief knew only he would listen to himself and made for the building with only a makeshift torch in hand, having accidentally dropped his dogslicer while running from the mangy beast it was named after earlier that night.

Sneaking into the building, the little goblin thief discovered the cache of food for what it was. At least a dozen delicious human children no larger than he.

When the goblin raiding party broke through the doors, the little goblin thief screamed and flailed to wake the children up and rushed them out the back, holding the goblin raider off by wildly swinging his torch about. Inadvertantly ignighting pews and drapes as he went.

Eventually the building was engulfed in flames and with the food having escaped, the raiding party retreated. Leaving the little goblin thief trapped in the building as it burned around him.

When the little goblin came to, he realized he had been treated by the clerics of the shiny sword for saving the children at the expense of severe burns and scars. When he told the longshanks of the dream, they told him it was a blessing he had been there or the children wouldn't have been able to escape. In reward they nursed him to health with much food and a handful of shiny coin.

Following the shiny goddess hurts, but it rewards with much food and shiny coin. To that, he took up a new name, TinderTender. Because the illustration of the flametender's duties was shone with a tindertwig, and the little goblin thief was distracted and misunderstood.

quick question of the group: right now, my stats are ST10 DX12 CN14 Int14 Wis10 Cha18. Seems pretty decent for a spellcaster bard. Is it worth it to drop one stat a bit to bump her Dex up? Might make her a little more helpful in combat situations

@GM: can I get a harmonica as a instrument? and what would the bulk on that be? I think I kinda like the idea of her singing the blues

I'd say keeping your casting/talking/performance stat at 18 is more worth it for a Bard, but that's me. Only reason I didn't go with an 18 in my spread was because I didn't want my spell point pool to be near empty(not adding class lvl to Pally spell point pool HURTS!).

I'd say it's light and would offer you to use the flute stats. Unfortunately there are none atm. Or you could take a giant harmonica (google it, it's bonkers) and have it take up 1 bulk.

Do we need an actual discussion thread?

Also, if making beautiful .pdf files is hard for you - don't worry. They just make it easier for me to check.

And I hope you don't mind some roleplaying preamble. The scenario tells just to drop you in the dungeon, but I would prefer to get some in-character introduction first.

English is not my native language, so feel free to tell me when I make mistakes.

We can use this thread or a discussion thread. Not picky, myself.

As for the RP preamble, personally I like it. :D

Since TinderTender was directly addressed, you want me to reply or wait for the others? Don't want to skip people unless it's ok.

You may answer. It will give others more options on how to respond, so it's a good move (:

Aaand we got hit by the first round of errata. Don't forget to check your characters and make changes if necessary.

Woohoo! Warded Touch worked like I thought it did! Get ready for Goblin fist bumps!

Where is the errata?

Here!

With the site back up i’m just saying I’m still here and plan to post later today so long as the site still stands.

Still here as well! :D

I am online and ready.

Also here - sorry for any earlier delays on my part.
