For a brief moment, Illuria sees a dark mark - something that looks almost like a hieroglyph - appear on the forehead of her reflection and feels a matching burning sensation in her own forehead, but both disappear almost before she can fully recognize them.

Bes and Q'urtaz easily recognize the room as an embalming chamber. As Slurk begins to poke around the room, though, two large spider-like creatures, each as large as Slurk himself, come skittering around the edges of the altar, their large chelicerae twitching voraciously.

Illuria's snakes hiss loudly as combat begins. She slides a bit to make sure she does not get surrounded, then strikes out with her mace. In rapid succession, her snake hair also shoots forward, threatening the vermin with its numerous fangs.

Illuria's mace slams into the carapace of one of the creatures, splintering it and sending ichor flying about. Likewise, there is a thundering retort from the rifle in Slurk's hands and a massive hole appears in the side of the second bug.

Good point. The to-hit and damage should be one higher on both of those. Remembered my PBS, not the BS.
