Akukho gestures with his claws again and the key ring floats from the creatures belt and into Trevor's waiting grip.

"Where are we?" His voice is soft and gravelly, as though as human has just woken from a long sleep with a dry mouth. "Who are you? Was it real?"

You come out of your cells and look around. The man on the gurney is definitely dead. In one corner is a pile of various weapons and armour

Once out of the cell, Domeric casts detect magic to scan the room, before moving to search the weapons and armor for anything particularly useful.


What is it with that guy and not touching anything? Trevor exits his cell and examines the equipment pile as well Name is Trevor, I saw all of you in that dream and have no idea how it happened or why I am here.

Nothing detects as magical. As you sift through the pile of weapons and armour you each get a sudden intuitive flash of when it belongs to each of you (You now get all of your equipment back. Together with your equipment there is a masterwork viola inscribe with the name 'Auseil'.


This seems...somewhat convenient. I wonder if this is just another way to screw with us. Trevor suits up.

Musician? I don't remember..oh wait, there was on fellow who did music I think Trevor looks around for a door.That way I guess.

You move on into the next chamber (A2). A broad chute extends diagonally through one of this cellar's half-crumbled stone walls. Beneath it lies heaped more than a dozen mutilated humanoid bodies. Nearby, a flight of rickety, wooden steps climbs toward the high ceiling - an escape none of the room's current occupants seem capable of employing. The smell of rot and decay in the room is nearly overwhelming, and the buzz of flies hangs in the air

Even in the vast emptiness that is Akukho's mind, this sight is foul. Nothing in the previous pile seemed to interest the small creature, but he finds himself compulsively fiddling with the ring in his ear, turning and turning the loop between his claws with a quiet click-clack, click-clack

No familiar here - my archetype forces me into the bonded item.

He pulls a piece of cloth to cover his mouth and nose.

Atajay you are momentarily affected by the gruesome scene of death but you manage to regain control.

Domeric you find 15gp in stray coins and cheap jewellery.

You think that the only way up is to use the chute but to do so you will need to clamber over the dead bodies.

When the others inform him of the plan, the man certainly wasn’t enthused. ”Ao we ave to clamber up, over that pile of bodies? Are you all sure? No better way at all?”. Once the others decided to climb, the warrior fell in line.


Did that creature, person live down here all the time? Trevor sighs. I am a fair climber and can try to get up and tie a rope off.

You start to climb up and manage to get up the chute which ends in a door.

As you clamber over the bodies can everyone make a Fort save please

Trevor ties off a rope for the others.


The small hunched figure climbs slowly, but surely, his claws digging into the soft bodies and providing strong handholds.

Akukho doesn't need to breathe and has natural armor, if that makes any difference.

Still covering his face, Chakam climbs up and catches up with the group. With his weapon drawn, he waits a step little behind Trevor as the orc opens the door.

The fight against that creature in the cell ended up hurting me. If anyone has means to take care of it, I'd appreciate it as I'm not yet fully skilled on the teachings of Sarenrae. - he whispers to the others.

You climb up the chute and come to the door. You open the door and find yourselves in a garden. Trampled flowerbeds lie smeared and squashed across this muddy courtyard. On all sides, stark gray walls climb toward a narrow gap of sunless sky.

Domeric takes the gold he had found earlier, then holds his breath and climbs up best he can as well. Upon reaching the top, he casts Detect Magic again and looks around, wary of any threats.

EDIT: Since I forgot, fort save: Fortitude: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17


Trevor looks around for a door. Maybe we can make a shoulder ladder and see if we can climb up and get a better view.


The small, hunched figure makes it out of the chute and immediately looks upwards. "The sky... it should not be this way?"

There is a door in the northwest corner and another to the north of that. To the far north it appears that a tower has toppled, blocking any further access. The sky above you is a sickly thick yellow foggy colour and you cant see further than about 40 feet if you look up.


Well let us try the northwest door then.

A 3 foot high barricade of broken furniture and fallen masonry fills a wide, empty doorframe, blocking off the northern portion of this broad hall, Lanterns flicker upon the walls, casting shadows upon several closed doors and beyond the ramshackle barricade. Someone yells out a warning,

Whoa, there! We got more here! Come no closer you lot. Captain..."

You see several crossbows aimed at you all at this point

A few moments later a burly guard captain appears, who says

How can we know you are not shapeshifters. I tell you what, if you bring back a few dead dopplegangers then maybe we'll rethink whose side you're on.
