First I like Fulito :) I've always been partial to party banter. Reminds me of Legolas and Gimli and all that. Or my friends in real life. We get together and make fun of each other, rip on everyone, etc but its all in good fun.
Second, the pace for me is just fine. I think its moving at a decent pace and I would vote to keep it up since it seems most everyone else is able to keep pace with it.
Again just my .02
Cheers!

Fulito Ferrywarden |

Thanks for the feedback just wanted to be sure I was not ruining anyone elses game experience.
as for pace mostly the pace is fine. just be sure to not move the story to far without everyones input (that is important to me becuase of some past PbP experiences).

Sorry for the sudden abandonment... This has been a week from hell. I am going to school, and my job used to be three full time people but now it's just me and I am trying to do it all part time. It's just been hectic. I will try and catch up.

Lol, but, um, there's something beautiful about a full frontla assault - right ;) lol. In character, I think Marianne would still be very disturbed by killing, but she cannot see any real possibility for these men to be anything other than bandits, and would feel responsible if they went on to kill people when she could have stopped them.
And out of character, stop firing bows at us and die my little chunks of XP ;)

Jeggrim "Shatterbones" |

Lol, character wise? I think Jegg really would have just went in, punching anything that moved. Kind of the "shoot first, ask questions later" type mentality. But I'm down-playing it quite a bit since that usually upsets most parties :)
If you guys don't mind trying to "control" him, I'd like to play Jegg as a bit more brash and all that. I'm just concerned about creating problems for the quasi-pacifist Bard, the Priest of Love and Beauty, and soul searching dwarf haha.

Fulito Ferrywarden |

fulito is only a pacifist becuase he lacks any really effective offensive capabilities (for now at least). more of a survival tactic than anything else.
he is mostly support and diplomat/talker. with some other skills thrown in
BTW was wondering if I could use Prestidigitation to summon a doobie.

DM Krallek |

ACK! Who cares if you cant make it onto the boards. Just stay safe Fulito! I'm glad I live in a place where I don't have to worry about a hurricane season.
On an unrelated note, is the map link appearing at the top of game thread for you guys? It is not on mine. Very wierd. I will start linking the updated map in the game thread until such time as that is fixed.

Damaran Al' Tugari |

The IT guys for the paizo site are messing with all of the code. They are slowly debugging all of the changes. They announce the fixes piece by piece... But that's why everything is so wonky. I may get hit by Sandy as well so depending on that I may be unavailable too.
Jeg, I have no trouble trying to control you. Someone will have to control Damaran during down time when gambling and drink is available or he will gamble away everything he owns with total abandon!

Good luck with the hurricane guys - always crassly rather enjoyed them when I lived in Florida, we had hurricane parties :) Personally I'm all for brash, it often saves a great deal of time, and its often the best plan in PF, not always but often :)

Has anyone else noticed any celebrity Avatars? I've spotted Niocholas Cage, and Amy Pollar(sp?) - plays Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation SNL allum - and I'm sure there are a few more...

Damaran Al' Tugari |

I would hold no hard feelings if it plays out that way. Less if you allowed us to play with another character lol. I'm so jealous of our dwarves they have made me want to play one again anyway. Not that I am asking for it!
Side note: Can we try to keep excessive ooc in the discussion thread plz. It really does detract from the "feel" of the game. Little notes are great but more in depth stuff would be better for the discussion thread. Not trying to be pushy or an etiquette lawyer, just trying to help everyone enjoy.

Fulito Ferrywarden |

not to worry I am already at work on that as well. have faith.. we will find a way out of this even if it means you and I keep them occupied and confused long enough for the others to get away.
just play along that you mistoke what you thought was the dwarf and was in fact something else and the confusion of the situation and the blur of the action, coupled with the copious amount of wine maybe you saw not a dwarf kill someone but quite possibly the dwarf actually chasing off a wild boar that was eating the body?

![]() |

I say we kick there butts, drink your potions, roll them dice and lets go epic on this! We should be able to do it, though its unfortunate that Gilthanis is up in the tree with the cure wand. Marianne has a butt load of healing and a 20 AC with shield up, bless gives us all +1 to hit, and Fulito's bardic music will give us a further +1 to hit and hurt :)
Let's see, Staryth can enlarge to gain reach and more damage - though his AC would drop, so he may not want to - he has the enlarge potion I believe. Jeggrim can drink the bull's strength.
These guys are probably thieves, so if we kill enough there is a very good chance they will break to.
Try to concentrate on killing opponents rather than just wounding them so that Marianne can be free to channel to heal us. Try to avoid getting surrounded by using the tents trees and each other to close off as much space as possible. Try to down their leader first if possible.

DM Krallek |

Ok, just a few points to make.
@Marianne, yes I got your adoration power up and we are good to go there.
@Gilthanas, no to called shots. They rarely work as planned anyways.
@Fulito, really? A bonus for a believable story? You are IN their camp. There is a dead guard on the ground and a gore covered dwarf over top of him. Two of you are rummaging through their tents. And now you've gone and given them multiple explanations, each more bizarre than the last. You rolled well, but under the circumstances I'd set the DC for that very very high because there is no way they would believe it. They are professional killers and thieves and would by nature have a poorly developed sense of right and wrong. At the very best, if they believed your story they would simply kill you first and then head east and west to see what you were on about.

Jeggrim "Shatterbones" |

God I need a new comp :( Been having all sorts of problems the last couple days. Haven't been able to load Paizo's site for some reason. Now it loads up and I've missed a lot! Bah! Being broke sucks! I want my f*ing leg to heal so I can get back to work and actually make some money again :(
I wish I would have been here for the banter with the bandit leader....Jeggrim would have just told him to shut up...with his fists! Surprise! Now stfu!
Here's hoping my comp holds steady for the next month 'till I can afford a new one /crosses fingers
Edit: Just got the map loaded. I'm so f*ing dead! Lol. Well Jegg it was nice knowin you :) Are we going to be able to reroll and keep playing if we go down? I really like this group and would hate to have to quit just cause I lost a few too many hit points! lol

![]() |

I think we should be odds on by a considerable margin here Jeggrim. Get into some cover from the arrows, make them come to us, don't let them surround you and we should kick their butts. We have healing they probably don't. And we all beat them on initiative.

Damaran Al' Tugari |

I saw this and thought of our current predicament lol
Marianne u are very optimistic. We are outnumbered 3 to 1. We should try to retreat but there is nowhere to go.

Jeggrim "Shatterbones" |

Marianne, while you may be correct, Jegg is a rage fueled barbarian in combat. Ducking for cover is not part of his skill set :( I'll take my licks as they come I guess! Looking at the map all I see is bowling pins ready to be hit by a strike! Lol...if only......

![]() |

Gilthanis, given that the caster should still actually be casting sleep you might want to consider transferring your shot to him - especially since you made the hell out of that spellcraft.

![]() |

I would've attempted to shoot the spellcaster because I hate spellcasters that aren't on my side ;). Either way, I already rolled so I am gonna be fair and say that I rolled the 9 or whatever it was in a previous post, unless you are allowing me to re-roll? I thought we were on round 2 when I id all that lol.
Your call DM
1st thought...
Desna please be with us as we fight these bastards with every ounce of energy and resolve we have!
Looking at the bandits attempt to surround himself and Staryth Gilthanis grits his teeth then cracks a slight smile. He takes a quick look behind him and sees a halfling, squishy in his own right hunkering down trying to play innocent. Thinking he'll be damed to let the goons get to the halfling, Gilthanis drops his bow, grabs his sword and shield and get stands his ground with the dwarf, ready for the onslaught to ensue.
Free action drop bow. Move action draw sword and shield. Standard action fight defensive and swing at enemy at J-12.
Attack: 1d20+6
Damage: 1d8+5
Spellcraft for spell 1d20+6
amended thought...
If I am able to amend my attack and change it slightly then this is what I would do...otherwise my previous action will stand I guess :)
Giltahnis seeing one of their ranks beginning to cast a spell focuses on figuring out the mannerisms are to the spell. After a few seconds he realizes it as another sleep spell and knows that his comrades are in danger of being put to sleep. Against better judgement, he takes a step backward, bow in hand and levels his bow in an arcing shot to attempt to disrupt the caster from completing his spell.
No you don't you punk, fool me once shame on me, but not twice. Jeggrim, Marianne, Damaran, watch out a sleep spell!! Gilthanis yells out before firing his shot in hope of stopping it.
Move Action: free 5' step to K-14
Standard Action: Fire Longbow at spellcaster on G-2. Assuming that they are still all using bows since you didn't say otherwise in changing attack method for the baddies.
Attack: 1d20+6
Damage: 1d8+2sadness, such great damage but a crappy roll lol
