The actual Raging Song doesn't seem to have a specified range (that I can find), but you do need to hear me. Right now, its providing a +2 morale boost to Strength, Constitution, and to Will Saves. Its not all good though! It does provide a -1 penalty to AC. It also gives access to all of my rage powers (that I select from my class ie not feats like Extra Rage Power). For now - that's the Rage Power Strength Surge. Wamblee, if you want to make a strength check, or a combat maneuver check (like Grapple or Trip), you can add Iniga's level to that roll (so currently that would be +5). Its once per rage though - but I can Rage Cycle it if required.
Wamblee Firenze
Understood!
As Wamblee charges through the snow, Iniga's refrain fills his ears.
And like magma flowing under stone, it foretells violent action.
Wamblee accepts rage song on some level, with all that it entails.

Round 1 Results!
Marianne and the rest follow Wamblee.
Wamblee walks deliberately, following his feet as well as his ears.
ruling - wamblee's special perception check was good enough that you all spent a round in limited visibility going the correct way. You are all 15-20 feet away from the yak now, so you can see it.
Iniga v'Breda
Iniga snarls, attacking the tone yak with pure aggression and she clashes with the creature, her fiery rage boiling as her tattoos light up, dancing with pure golden light.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 6) + 8 = 19
Wamblee Firenze
I will take rage song and that charge roll. So that's 9 damage from the assegai. Wamblee's AC down to 13 this turn with charge and rage song. He is also 10 feet from the yak, as he holds a reach weapon (for now).
Assegai with Rage Song: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 1 = 29
Critical: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 1 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7
Extra Critical Damage if applicable: 1d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 1 = 14
Assegai with Rage Song: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7

Round 2 Results!
Save for Marianne's arrows, all the attacks from sword and staff, fist and flask, strike true. The creature bellows in pain, a deep rumble. Its jaw opens wide, large enough to be the entrance to a cramped mine. A biting gale erupts from deep inside, buffeting Marianne, Samoon, and Wamblee.
everyone may act now for round 3.
Marianne, Samoon, and Wamblee, make a reflex save DC 13 vs 10 cold damage (ref save halves damage)
-----
Round 3 Begins!
You all hear more sounds of fighting near where you think the mercenaries are, but the direction is not entirely clear. It is outside your visibility.
Wamblee Firenze
@GM: Would the yak's breath have incurred an AOO from Wamblee? Already rolled for last rounds' if it did.
Reflex Save, DC 13: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
5 damage. HP: 17/42. AC currently 15.
Wamblee advances under the breath of the beast, his back freezing but still clutching his assegai, and striking hard with elbows and knees.
The yak will not escape.
5ft towards Yak, flurry of blows vs Yak
Unarmed flurry, as +1 weapon: 1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11
Unarmed flurry, as +1 weapon: 1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
Assegai: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 = 10
Hubristic Efreeti
no AoO from the breath attack, but a very reasonable question
Wamblee's attacks propagate the cracks even more. The creature tries to rear up for a counter attack, but simply crumbles into three large pieces instead. (deleted)
combat still seems to be going on elsewhere, but if you do not have some way of sensing besides vision (like Wamblee) you will have a 50% of going the wrong way.
Marianne Faithless
ref: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
so 5 cold damage
The ox near Marianne is trampling the ground in front of it, frightened by the attacks and the cold. A few times, its hooves go dangerously close to the head of the semiconscious priest. Marianne grabs the reins and talks to it, gently but firmly.
Marianne is spending her round calming the ox
Samen Vloe Firenze
With the stone yak down, Samen considers charging headlong toward the remaining sounds of fighting, but instead thinks better of it.
Somewhat sarcastically, "No time to test like the middle of combat! Let's see how this works."
Samen casts detect elemental and waits for the vision to come into focus.

As soon as the yak crumbles, Wamblee turns and begins walking in what he thinks is the best path to the continuing fighting. He seeks answers thorough the stone and air.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
"Follow my voice!", he calls at intervals.
Samen Vloe Firenze
Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Whichever direction Wamblee is running off in, assuming that's the same thing.
Hubristic Efreeti
Wamblee's feet lead true, and you come across four mercs trying to take down another stone yak. Their weapons ring meekly against its hide - save the magical blade of Margherita, which burns with a hot flame in the white frigid air.
Samen, you detect the yak right at the edge of your Sight, a clearly earthen creature with a slight...'flavor' of cold to it.
Marianne used her action to calm the oxen ; Wamblee attacked already this round ; Samen cast his spell ; but I believe Samoon and Iniga both have a standard action remaining.
The yak gores a merc whose back is toward you. He falls, a crumpled form.

Samoon surveys the situation with a thoughtful frown, and casually lobs a fiery bomb onto the yak. Globs of burning fulmination also land on the ifrits.
Fire Bomb, PBS: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
fire damage: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) + 4 = 21
the splash damage is below ifrit fire resist. in fact...
The el who had fallen down stirs as fire meets flesh; his bleeding slows. He glances up. You see it is Martino, the youngest of the mercenaries (whom Iniga has gotten to know quite well).
I'll bot Iniga early tomorrow if I haven't heard anything for your standard - I know this round has been disjointed
Iniga v'Breda
A little unclear GM, but I don't believe that I can attack the Yak as it requires a move action to get into range. So I might take the total defense action so I can walk up and attack it next turn.
Remember GM, the Mercenaries can all join into accepting my Raging Song as well (this includes Martino if he is conscious) and would give them the normal bonuses.
Wamblee Firenze
Spurred on by the sight of the rampaging yak and by his cousin's song, Wamblee charges into the fray, a stony fist first!
Charge, rage song,unarmed strike +1: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 17
Plus flanking if he can manage it. AC currently 13
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 = 15
Marianne Faithless
Marianne spends her round pulling the unconscious priest away from the frightened oxen. She grumbles about useless, pompous fools as she does so.
Hubristic Efreeti
Enraged by Samoon's fire bomb, the yak blows its wintry breath...
Samoon, Iniga, and Wamblee, make a reflex save DC 13 vs 16 cold damage (ref save halves damage).
martino reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Martino, still injured, stumbles over a rock. The blast goes above his head, missing him entirely.
Samen, Samoon, and Iniga have their turns now. Wamblee has already charged and hit (updated position on map)
House rule - Iniga, take a +2 on your reflex save because you decided to take the defense action.
Samen Vloe Firenze
Satisfied that he knows the way to the foe, and even more satisfied that his spell works, Samen is content to join the fray.
He activates his staff, charging it up, then charges himself toward the monstrosity.
ToHit: 1d20 + 9 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 + 2 = 15 (+2 enhancement, +2 for charging)
Damage: 1d6 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 13 (+2 enhancement, +2 weapon spec)
Iniga v'Breda
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7
Iniga hisses at the cold before the volcanic fire running through her blood began to do its work, slightly healing her rounds as she steps into range, trying to bring the creature down
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 5) + 7 = 13
HP 24/38
Wamblee Firenze
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
As he charges, Wamblee is struck in the chest by the freezing vapours. It does not slow his advance but his injuries mount.
HP 6/42
Hubristic Efreeti
samoon ref save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
8 cold damage Samoon, puts you at 20 current hp I believe
All of you--siblings, cousins, and mercenaries--put your full effort into pummeling, slashing, and bombing the obdurate creature down. It finally breaks under the attacks, crumbling to pieces like the first.

Combat Over!
Wamblee Firenze
Wamblee stands, alert, trying to sense any other approaching stone beasts, while still bloodied and frostburned.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Samen Vloe Firenze
Samen frowns as he focuses on the other elemental. "There's more out there, I see one."
He moves closer cautiously, ignoring both cart and priest. Those were problems for other people. He focuses to gather more details about the elemental as he readies his staff, in case it's necessary.
He has a feeling, though, that this elemental might be a familiar one.
Iniga v'Breda
Iniga frowns at Margherita. "I cannot heal him, have no experience in healing, and there's one more elemental out there according to Samen. Martino looks wounded, but doesn't seem to be in immediate danger. It makes sense to be on hand to assist."
Yeah I have no idea why she's asking the person with no healing spells, no ranks in heal, and a negative wisdom modifier to help out :S
Wamblee Firenze
Wamblee turns to the others.
"The priest's cart has been ransacked. The signs of elen tools are upon it. Someone planned this, for robbery. Also, I could use treatment for my wounds."
Samoon Firenze
2 people marked this as a favorite.
With our computers at work no longer allowing personal software, and lots of deadlines, I clearly need to get HL Online! My apologies for the continued sporadicity.
Samoon makes his round with some infusions. "Do we expect more trouble on the road today, I wonder?" He has a slight limp from the cold damage.
Wamblee CMW: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1) + 5 = 8
Samoon CMW: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 2) + 5 = 9
Martino CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Marianne Faithless
Marianne is dragging Saggezza Grico by his heels, none too gently. When she sees Samen and Iniga continue to the southeast, she drops the priest's legs with a thump.
Throwing up her hands as if petitioning Fallen Sky, she says, "Yeah, don't tell me where you're going or anything." She mutters to herself, quite like her mother did once upon a time, "Samen Vloe Firenze..."
Samen Vloe Firenze
Without breaking his focus, he talks back to his sister. "Where do you think I'm going? There's another elemental out there. Care to join us?"
Samoon Firenze
"Wamblee is still wounded," says Samoon. "We need to be careful. In other words, wait a few, if you could."
Samoon checks the wagon.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Marianne Faithless
While Samoon delivers his first infusion to Wamblee, Marianne gives a quick shrug and sprints after Samen. "Then stay behind and take a look at that wagon you find so interesting. Samen is actually being the fun one for a change!" She is already disappearing into the white fog as she finishes her sentence.
at this point I'm interpreting it as: Samen is too focused to stop, Marianne is being impulsive, versus Wamblee and Samoon are being more cautious. Iniga also showed interest in following the elemental as the top priority.
