Hmmmm... good question. I suppose it depends on whether or not Sevak can get any more clues into what's going on with Paq, if it's really just the effects of the stuff he was taking to stay up at night or if there's something more going on. Maybe I can write up how Sevak approaches the next two days, and if anything strikes some sparks we can play a scene, otherwise just go to when they exit the jungle?

So should I go ahead and do that, or is there still something happening on this day? I've been wondering if a certain naga was going to show up in Sevak's dreams again...

            I just wanted to double-check.

            Uh-oh... :D
Oh, on the topic of multiclassing, could we use fractional base bonuses? It helps multiclassing not give quite so funny of BAB and Save numbers.

Hey, it's good for growing character. ;)
Also, I've been looking over the art for nagaji, and... I don't think nagaji have tails.

Not often, but enough times that I had to look up and see if they had tails or not.

Oh, I had to look up who Immonhiel is, and... it should be fun when Sevak discovers he met an Empyreal Lord in-person.

Yes, I think it's quite appropriate, both in terms of it seeming to fit Immonhiel's brief description and fitting with Sevak's story.

            Oh, definitely.
The funny thing is that negotiation scenes can be way more tense to me than combat ever will be. I guess I get into them more. :D So looking forward to some verbal tightrope-walking here. Hopefully Sevak doesn't fall off!

Hopefully you didn't have something awesome planned for that town they just passed. :D
I do wonder sometimes how many wrenches and curve-balls you're having to deal with when it comes to Sevak...

            True enough. :D

So I gathered. I think I'm glad it happened, even though Sevak is clearly less than happy about it. :D

It makes sense, and I'd say two or three times isn't enough to get too samey.

Sevak is still... trying to figure out his new worldview. XD He's just starting to really understand the idea that there's good and evil in everyone, of every race. He kind of vaguely always knew that, but is only just now starting to truly comprehend what it means.

Well for the bandits, he kind of already knows he's in for a group of amoral cutthroats. After Bo's quiet wisdom, it was a bit of a shock to him to see a village elder resort to petty extortion.

The dice decided this was to be a bitter, hard-fought fight where Sevak flailed around wildly making a fool of himself until Paq was there to flank. XD It happens when you have nothing to do except roll a single attack every round. I'm sure if he'd rolled a twenty that first round and confirmed the crit it would have turned out to be really easy.

Eh, it's a consequence of the system.

Ah, true enough. Hopefully this one doesn't suffer a similar fate.
...though that seems like it would be kind of funny, if inns Sevak stayed in always managed to burn down, for completely different reasons each time... but let's not do that. :D

            Me, too. XD
I really need to slow down and think through his actions more on posts like these, though. I probably could have thought of something more clever to do than challenge the leader to a duel if I'd thought about it, but I let the rush of acting on my first impulse get the better of me, and now Sevak is stuck with a bad decision.

I can keep it a secret from Sevak if you can't figure out a way around me knowing. ;)

I'm sure you'll figure something out. Or you could just hint at it enough for me to do it without fully knowing what's going on.

I'm sure we'll have fun with whatever happens.

I have faith it will be fun no matter what happens, which is, I think, a stronger expression of faith in a GM than believing you'll be able to get a certain plot point to happen.

It's going to be a bit of a shock for Sevak when he realizes that no one has quite the answers he's seeking.
And yes, he's definitely in a bad spot, emotionally, at present. Or really, his joy over seeing again was just a momentary reprieve from the darkness weighing on his spirit. Feeling like the world would have been a better place without you, at least for the past year or two, is a pretty terrible state to be in.
