Coinneach's map - for reference
Healaugh opens the right hand door to discover that both it and the left hand door lead into a massive room that was once a gallery. Nothing remains but rotting picture frames. There is no more to see.
Coinneach looks reproachfully at the halfling as the little fisherman ogles the spear.

Apologies for this taking so long. Real life has been a strain recently.
The group hear the noise of some people walking around the corner; only to find themselves face to face with two Yrchish warriors! The pirates look at you with stupefaction. Now is your chance to act!
They're surprised. Roll initiative!

Tresmeer 12
Melisana 12
Healaugh 10
Ynyr 9
Brand 9
Siobhán 9
Yrch A 7
Conall 3
Yrch B 2
Fearful of the appearance of the two pirates, Melisana and Tresmeer fumble with their weapons trying to load.
Actions please! You are about 20 feet away from them in a 10 ft wide corridor. Thus only two of you can be in melee at the same time with the yrchs. Ranged weapons can be used without cover penalties.
Healaugh ap Caftenar
Healaugh holds the javelin close to him, and whispers the to it, his eyes wild with a mixture of fury at seeing the Yrch scum and elation at the power the javelin gives him.
"Llawela" he murmers, before hurling himself down the corridor and jabbing ferociously at the nearest yrch. Let's say Yrch A unless DM says otherwise
Charge attack with shock weapon: (1d20 2=19, 1d4 1=2, 1d6=2)
Ynyr Treiglwyr
Without thinking, Ynyr charges down towards Yrch and hits out at the same beast that Healaugh just lashed out at.
Hit with dagger; Damage (1d20+2=7, 1d4+2=3)
But perhaps he should start thinking now...
FabesMinis
Well... let's see... you have two choices. Tumble (are you trained in Tumble? If not then you can't) or over-run. He won't just let you crawl through his legs. :)

Tresmeer 12
Melisana 12
Healaugh 10
Ynyr 9
Brand 9
Siobhán 9
Yrch A 7
Conall 3
Yrch B 2
So, now the yrchs can act normally.
Tresmeer backs away, looking for somewhere to run, "Le's get t' the bloomin' boat!" Melisana goggles.
Short stuff, you're up. EVERYONE, post stuff up in any order and I'll sort it out as we go.
Healaugh ap Caftenar
"Tha dostna befoul Sea King's home, scum."
Healaugh punctuates his words with javelin stabs on Yrch A. Somehow his attacks feel less effective.
Attacking Yrch A: (1d20 2=13, 1d4 1=5, 1d6=1)
Might be best shutting up and just hitting them for future. Fool halfling. he berates himself silently.
Siobhán
Still unsure of herself Siobhán looks around for a more intelligent course of action. Thinking on her feet she looks at the two Yrchs. "Leave us be!" She tells them solidly, throwing her arms wide and casting a spell, the only spell she has that has the potential of scaring them away or at least drawing their attention to her and away from the others.
Unleashing a gallon of water, she gives the two monsters a look that implies she can do a lot worse to them if they don't back off, all the while worrying they'll see through her.
Casting a mighty create water - fear the mighty spellcaster
Intimidate (1d20+1=16)
Ynyr Treiglwyr
"Now, just how stupid am I being?" Thinks Ynyr when his last undisciplined slash met thin air. Seeing Brand behind him, he takes a step in front of Healaugh, Allowing Brand to occupy his place if he wishes to, (on top of the felled Yrch and, from that vantage, he lashes out again).
"Pretty stupid apparently, wouldn't you say?" He says to no-one in particular.
Brandlaik Stoneheart
sorry for the delay...I had some sheetrock taping (plastering) to do around a window I had put in about 2 yrs ago in my computer/laundry and it turned into a nightmare of dust and paint and faux finish. that was all weekend (we had a 3 day in the US) but now I'm good with a very good feeling about being in here now upon reassembly...bravo on the create water...ingenious, I'm always looking for ways to use spells unconventionally (?) but on with the show, I'm guessing my strike will be simultaneous with the water and I'm going for the recently vacated spot of Ynyr
Suddenly something clicks and Brand's mind, and as if waking from a dream, he leaps forward to the space vacated by Ynyr, face twisted with hatred. It seems as though he was going to say something but all that escapes his lips is a gutteral snarl as he brings his axe to bear on the foul Fhoi Myore foe!
attack and damage with axe (1d20+5=19, 1d8+3=8)
Woot! take that fiend!!
Healaugh ap Caftenar
Duly noted and appreciated.
Patting the javelin and cleaning the yrch blood from the blade, Healaugh puffs after Coinneach.
"Where now? Don't want to be meeting any more yrchs."
He turns his attention to the javelin once more. "Tha's done good by Brigid-lass." he mutters. Catching strange glances from the others, he looks up "Only right to thank tools for job well done." he says defensively.
FabesMinis
Healaugh ap Caftenar
"M'not wanting weapons for mesen, but there's others might need them." Healaugh gestures randomly behind him.
"Tha' said there was weapon store down here I'm thinking. Best hope no pirate scum's found them first."
Healaugh canters quietly in front of Coinneach, glowering at the doors as though expected every one to open and disgorge a pucha army.
He's moving ahead and is currently between the first set of doors in the north pointing corridor.
Brandlaik Stoneheart
Brand makes an effort to glide stealthily up to where Healaugh has moved to but but looks comically clumsy with his dour poker face on.
Axe at the ready he's heard to say "I agree...we were lucky in that last pinch and anything we can find to 'elp in another'd be good...plus there may be food...and even if we escape by boat, it won't be doin us no good if we STARVE at sea."
Realizing he's raised his voice only deepens the comically dour look on his face as he gestures at the north doors with his axe.
I don't suppose the yrch had any food? Brand hungry :) [
FabesMinis
Coinneach leads the band into what was once a record room; broken desks lie in bits on the floor, as well as moldy bits of paper (now indecipherable). A bookcase stands against the north wall.
The old man says quietly, "Well, there it be. Ye have to poosh a wee button on the top of yon bookcase."
It is too high for Healaugh to reach up, but another member of the party could do so.
Ynyr Treiglwyr
Seeing no-one else moving. Ynyr moves over to the bookcase and feels around on top for the button.
"So, now, do you suppose this leads to a secret passage? That would hopefully keep the nasties out would it not? Now how long is it since you were here, may I ask?" He asks of Coinneach.
And pooshes the wee button.
Brandlaik Stoneheart
"Maybe there's a key or something we've overlooked" Brand says stifly, trying to look important after his clumsy attempt at stealth. " Perhaps Melisana and the old man can guard this room with Connall n' Tresmeer and we can further search yon" he says gesturing towards the door with his axe "for some kind of key or other"
"now that we've made the room I'd hate to lose it to Phooka-scum" he puts in almost as an after thought.
FabesMinis
"Well..." Coinneach says after a while, "Ye do have tae prise the case away from the wall, and then ye'll see the shaft leadin' doon."
"It'll make a fair bit o' clamour though."
If you wish to prise the bookcase from the wall you have two choices: fast or slow. Fast will take 1 round; slow will take 1 minute. Either way, the heavy bookcase will make a lot of noise.
