"Welcome to the First Annual Tournament of Gorum!"
The crowd cheers.
"For your entertainment we have sent out invitations to many worthy competitors across Golarion! Here are the competitors!"
The crowd cheers even more ferociously.
"Azoth an Aasimar, Dakar the Ugly a Hobgoblin, Arsok another Hobgoblin, Jaron Musashi a Human, Glor a Dwarf, Bob the Barbarian a Gnome, Mr. Hercule another Human and The Mysterious Ranger yet another Human."
"Now contestants please pull a number from the box in front of you."

Dakar the Ugly |

Dakar grins evily as he examines the possible opponents. soon i can show them my true strength....
Looks like I'm up first! Can't wait to get started. Mr. GM, how do you want us to handle attack crunchiness and whatnot? The last Arena PbP I've seen used spoiler tags to hide dice rolling and simply indicated attack/damage values. Are we doing something similar?

Bob the Gnomish Barbarian |

Bob steps forward, the wind blowing his cloak back in a dramatic fashion and the sunlight glinting perfectly off his teeth and bald head as he smiles and waves to the crowd. His perfectly polished full plate armor clinks like the spurs in a cheesy old west movie as he steps up to the box to draw his number.
He pulls out a number, looks at it, smirks and then holds it aloft triumphantly. In a deep and gravelly voice that seems impossible coming out of someone so small, and projected loudly enough for everyone in the arena to clearly hear, "So much for saving the best for last!"
Bob puts his number back and walks back to his spot in line. By the time he reaches his spot, an astute observer would notice that his armor makes no more than the normal sounds, and his face and armor are now painted in dark red battle paint. The reflection of the blood red battle paint off his orange eyes and the set of his face let anybody who cares to notice know that he won't be going down without a fight!

Mr. Hercule |

"Good luck beating me Bob!"
Hercule goes up to the box flexing all the way, trying to get the crowds attention and it seems to be working.
He pulls a number and shows it to the crowd. It reads 4.
"Hey Bob don't lose and I wont either, we will see each other in the next round!"

Dakar the Ugly |

As Dakar steps forward, it's immediately obvious that he's quite ugly - even for a hobgoblin. He wears no armor and carries no visible weapons but moves with the assurance of someone who knows he's the absolute best at what he does. He draws a number. "Ah, number 8. Seems I'll have to wait a while. No matter...." Dakar then returns to his spot in line.

Torivor |

Jaron draws his number in silence. The crowd isn't really sure what to make of him: heavily armored, yet agile, with what at first glance appears to be an abnormally thick sword on his back. His oddest feature is his face, or rather, what's covering it. A blue mask of a snarling... something... covers his face. He draws his number and turns toward Azoth. After apparently staring for a couple moments, he inclines his head and returns to the line.
Alias coming later today.

Azoth the Warrior |

Azoth steps forward for his number. He scowls at the low number, and walks back to his position; his massive armour clanging loudly.
If people don't have completed profiles... how do we know what their AC and what not is? I have never done a PVP...

DM Zotsune |

Well easy way is to pay attention to the rolls and see what hits... Other than that I do apologize for not having my 2 DMPC's all stated out I just have had a lot of threads to keep up with.
"Now that all of the contestants have taken their numbers lets see the first match!"
A magical screen appears in the middle of the stage, viewing letters and pictures of the two contestants large enough for even the people in the nose bleed section to see.
"Bob the Barbarian vs. The Mysterious Ranger!"
The crowd cheers looking forward to the next match.
"Now for more specific rules for this event. Any potions, wands, scrolls, and other items that are depleted on use will be replenished upon the end of the match. Further more any such items that the loser of the match had on their position at the start can now be brought in by the winner for their next match. The match ends when either contestant is knocked out or killed by their competitor. Healing is not cheating but is discouraged. If you move out of the ring you are disqualified, if you fly higher than 30ft. above the arena you are considered knocked out of the ring and thus disqualified. You may push your opponent out of the ring, however keep in mind of the crowd. They don't like victories of that nature. The contestants will start 70ft. away from each other, 35ft. away from the middle of the ring on the left and right side. Now that the rules have been explained all other contestants leave the stage."

Mysterious Ranger |

This character wearing Mithral Breastplate, one quiver on his back along with a Longbow and backpack. On his waist lays a Mithral Greatsword.
He pulls out the Longbow before the fight starts.
You are allowed to draw your weapon(s), potions, wands, etc. before the fight starts. As soon as Bob posts again, I am letting him re-roll init, the fight starts.

Performance Swift Action: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Bob the Gnomish Barbarian |

Before Bob even has a chance to quaff his potion, his opponent's arrows land. Some bounce off his shield while others bite into his shoulder and leg feel.
He quickly uncorks the bottle and downs its' contents. His skin is already starting to look bark like as he breaks off the arrow shafts and starts running forward.
"AAAAHHHHHHH!"
The blood running down his armor creates new patterns of the same color as Bob draws his long(for him)bow off his back and readies to return the favor!
Standard action: Drink Potion
Move Action: Move 20' straight towards TMR
Free Action w/ Move Action: Draw weapon
Free Action: Barbarian Yell

Mysterious Ranger |

He sees the Gnome approaching and decides What the heck I'll fight him blade to blade.
He drops his bow and charges at Bob, drawing his Greatsword in the process.
Greatsword Slash!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Shocking: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Crit Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
AC drops 2 points

Bob the Gnomish Barbarian |

The Human's long legs were able to carry the mysterious ranger quicker than Bob had anticipated. As his enemy's blade sank through armor and flesh Bob dropped his now useless bow and drew his sword.
Red filled Bob's vision as the sword swung at its' target with retributive fury!
Free Action: Dropped bow
Move action: Drew Greatsword
Free Action: Entered Rage!

greatsword attack/damage if hit: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 251d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Dramatically Narrated Action that has no game consequence but makes it sound cooler: n/a

Bob the Gnomish Barbarian |

The Ranger's sword bounces harmlessly off Bob's shield, and Bob swings wildly as the Ranger's long legs take him out of normal range.
"AAAAHHHHHH!
The boldly painted and bleeding Gnome runs towards his opponent with reckless abandon!
Attack of opportunity!
AoO/damage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 231d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Full Round Action: Charge! (30')
Charge/damage: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 191d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Bob the Gnomish Barbarian |

Finally, Bob's opponent held still. No chasing, no running, only FURY!!!
And so Bob tries to get his blade to go snicker-snack (but alas, all it will ever be able to do is slice and dice...).
Swift Action: Lesser Elemental Rage (Fire)
Full Round Action: Attack!
attack 1/damage/fire damage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 331d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 101d6 ⇒ 6

confirm Critical/damage: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 151d10 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

DM Zotsune |

The crowd roars as they see Bob's final blow knock TMR unconscious.
"Bob the Barbarian, congratulations for beating your opponent. You move on to the next round."
The magical screen updates by crossing out TMR and moving Bob up to the next round.
TMR's inventory only had Arrows as consumable items (180 total).

DM Zotsune |

"After we clean up the blood stains and take the body to an infirmary we will start up the next match. In the mean time please enjoy this piece of entertainment!"
A group of bards start performing in a section of the arena that was untouched by the battle.
As soon as Azoth is ready I'll start the next fight. And when Azoth posts again the bards are done with their performance and are leaving the stage.
