"If Happs were an officer, this Stag might be expecting a report, or a cut of collected treasure. We may want to move camp until we are strong enough to hunt him down."

Nor flinches under the amulet's chain as it touches his partially closed shoulder. "Thanatos, could you mend my wounds a bit more?"

Current hp: 10/19.

"Agree'd lets head back to the outpost regroup and learn what we can, then remove his presence from the area. Also, Jed your in charge of your little band now, pack up your belongings and once we get back we'll discuss pay! "

Thanatos waves Nor over. "Come over here." Thanatos holds his hand over the Amulet. Detect Magic 1d20 ⇒ 11 Do I roll something for this?

He then places his hands over the wounded shoulder and mutters a quick prayer. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

You detect no magic. Also, no, it is rare that you need to roll dice for spells themselves. When in doubt, PFSRD can tell you all about the spell or ability you're using!

Lol. good role play Josh, but that isn't really how it works. Detect Magic WILL show magical properties with very few exceptions. Use Magic Device requires knowledge that an item is magical, or by accident. Bottom Line: If Detect Magic doesn't get a reading, 90% of the time, there's no magic.

"Ya there is no magics in the amulet." Dagoth then sits on the nearest patch of grass, with one of his axes out placed on his lap. " We'll leave when they are all ready."

The bandits gather their things and discuss something hurriedly.

Nor adjusts his backpack to allow either greatsword and falchion to be accessible from his shoulders. He grins at the lot and starts heading back towards Oleg's.

With Gotha on his shoulder Dagoth leads the party, both occasionally checking their surroundings.

Before the group preps to leave, Thanatos walks over to Nor to heal. Inflict Light Wounds 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 The angry red flare, instead of destroying Nor's flesh instead mended his torn shoulder.

Cursing his mystery given powers, Thanatos tries again. Inflict Light Wounds 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Gotha passed, but does not possess critical thinking and reasoning skills, so she learns nothing.

"Bloody hell! Look at this!" Nor points out the clues to his companions.

"If you wish to leave clues for your Stag friend, you need only ask. A lopped off foot or hand serves better a marker than a bent twig or footprint. Next bandit I see do so will be short a limb!"

Nor moves to the back of the line, keeping a glaring eye on the bandits ahead of him.

The bandits heave an exasperated sigh in unison and trudge on, heads down.

It's been 8 hours, it'll take another 9 or so to reach Oleg's and the sun is rising. Do you want to camp or keep marching? A forced march will force fortitude saves every hour on a progressively more difficult scale.

Let's not be fatigued and such, so we should stop and rest for a bit.

Nor steps up to walk alongside Dagoth, then to Thanatos, muttering to each of them, "We should take the watches. I don't trust this lot just yet."

Nor lowers his voice to Dagoth.
"I don't trust the bandits because they are, well, bandits. For coin, they would slit our throats, and more willing to do so if their new leadership deprives them of sleep. I don't mind a forced march if the matter is pressing, but Oleg's trading post isn't going anywhere."

Thanatos orders his skeleton to keep an eye on the bandits and shuffles over to the others. "Why put strain on an already fragile alliance? There's nothing stopping them from leaving. Why, Nor even caught them trying to leave a trail for someone to follow. How's that for 'swearing' allegiance to you, Dagoth?"

"WHHHAAT," Dagoth turns twisting his hands on his axe's handle. "Which LIEING IMBECILE had the great idea of leaving a trail! Yelling at the top of his lungs he stares down his soon to be prisoners.

Thanatos shakes his head. He whispers to Dagoth and Nor. "Hey, they've been leaving a trail and now you are screaming. Don't you think that you're giving away our positions? Or are you doing this on purpose?"

"Shut your mouth, I just found out about it." Dagoth snaps at the tiefling. His upper lip curled to reveal his orc'ish fangs. He continued, "One of you has betrayed me. Let the infidel come out for punishment, or I'll gut you all."

So seriously why wouldn't we kill them for backstabbing us? Also, to be perfectly clear I am standing right in front of them 5 feet away throwing an orc temper-tantrum.

So i know i am not particularly the scariest of orcs as of the last roll but any chance i could get a I-one-shotted-the-last-guy-to-step-to-me bonus?

"Easy, Dagoth. When I saw what they were doing, I told them the next hand or foot to leave a clue would be cut off. I think it made the point, and we won't be less a man in the next battle."
