Setesh Bantling
Setesh glances sharply at Micah.
"Hanging your hammock from two statues depicting the Osiriani god of embalming may not be particularly wise. That said, let's conduct a thorough search of the room."
Setesh then settles down to do exactly that.
Perception 'Take 20' = 30.
Nevai Alaro
So, did we get through the door that had no hinge or way to open it?
"I'd personally prefer not to rest in the location of someone's final rest. When we decide that we've gone as far as we can for today, I suggest we head back upstairs, seal the entrance and camp outside."
Nevai helps Setesh search the room carefully.
Perception, aiding Setesh: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Game Master Listener
The door with no hinges remains unopened.
Almathea: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Erei: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Leto: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Micah: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
Nevai: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Setesh: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Wow...
Just as Micah hops up to the platform, Almathea notices a notch on the wall. A switch maybe? A moment later the doors slam shut behind you and you hear the sound of stone grinding on stone echoing in the walls.
I need a Reflex save from anyone standing in front of the doors, DC 15. I assume this is Leto and perhaps Erei? Either of you may be on either side of the door after a successful save. Failure and you're prone in the room.
Electricity arcs out crisscrossing the room over the central platform.
Electricity: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
Micah, Reflex save (DC 15) for half damage.
Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5
Surprise Round: Initiative 5
The flash of the electricity fades and you hear the creak of wood as the sarcophagus snaps open. It looks almost comical as it flips up off the ground and leaps at Micah...swallowing him whole and slamming shut!
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Swallow Whole: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Please roll initiative. Almathea may, of course, act in the surprise round. Currently Micah is inside of the sarcophagus. It is lying on the platform, no longer moving (other than any shaking that Micah may be doing inside). Knowledge (arcana) rolls would be appropriate.
Almathea
Almathea is just about to tell Micah to get himself off the dais so the Setesh can check it, but before the words come out, the sarcophagus leaps up and snaps shut on Micah.
"What the hells? Did that sarcophagus really and truly just eat Micah?!"
know arcana: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Micah Haynes
reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
I'm not sure what the check is to swallow whole but a 12 misses my flat footed or touch AC, or my CMD... Of course, all of that is largely academic because full damage from the electricity plus the bite damage renders me staggered and very soon to be unconscious...
Nevai Alaro
Round 1, Initiative 9
Nevai jumps as his view of the hingeless door is abruptly cut off and turns his attention back to the room just in time to see Micah's boots disappear into the sarcophagus. "I was about to say, judging by the numerous traps and guardians we've encountered thus far, the hidden door without hinges likely leads to the real tomb, and this is probably a decoy. What do you think, Micah? Don't worry, looks like I'll be the one protecting you this time." Nevai says as he draws his sword and attempts to destroy the trapped decoy sarcophagus.

Setesh Bantling
Setesh shakes his head.
"...and this is why I wanted to thoroughly search this place. The one time I don't get the chance, this happens!"
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11.
He then gingerly moves forward, working his way around to a flanking position on the sarcophagus.
I assume it will take a double move to do so.
Leto V. Derexhi
Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Ref Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
I´m totally cool with GM initiative/save rolls should i not be present or fast enough^^
Ouch! What was that?
Leto twitches in pain as his muscles spasm. He looks quite singed.
If i woulnd´t have seen it i would not believe it. But then maybe we can´t trust our eyes?
Leto rubs his eyes, just to see there´s no Micah.
Must be true! Let´s get him out of there!
He tries to remove the plate.
STR check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Game Master Listener
I assume it will take a double move to do so.
If you're willing to walk though where it theoretically might threaten, you can get there in one move. It doesn't look like it threatens and it is "technically" in the grappled state.
Leto: Only Micah was on the platform and took damage from the electricity. Your Reflex save was to keep from being hit by the door and being thrown prone. You are prone, but no damage. Also, the sarcophagus, while currently not moving, doesn't seem open-able by prying with bare hands.
Erei Jentis
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Apparently prone in the room.

init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
"Uhm, I think that the sarcophagus is really a magically animated construct. Which on the one hand is good because there are worse things that it could be and on the other hand bad because it just trapped Micah and I don't know how to get him out."
Thea moves up by Satesh and casts Diviner's Fortune upon him. insight bonus on all of its attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1) for 1 round

The sarcophagus shifts as Nevai's sword slams into it, tipping on its side. There's a slight shake and Micah slides out as the sarcophagus tries to...bounce...around in an attempt to avoid being struck.
Round 1: Initiative 5
The wooden contraption attempts to slam into Setesh,
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
and then opens up again to try to engulf Nevai.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Micah is on the floor in a pool of blood next to the sarcophagus. He doesn't appear to be in good shape.
---
Suddenly the doors to the north burst open and water starts flooding rapidly into the room. There is currently no effect from this. Beside, of course, some things getting wet.
Setesh Bantling
Setesh groans when water starts pouring in.
"I cannot re-iterate enough just how much I would have liked to have searched this room first!"
He then attacks the sarcophagus.

sorry I never rolled init, when combat started it seemed unlikely I'd be conscious long enough to need it... I'll post a clarified (and I guess modified, now that Nevai unstaggered me) version of my last post...
initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Round 2, initiative 8; staggered
Still barely conscious and in immediate danger, Micah begins to slowly and carefully roll away from the animated sarcophagus... using standard action to begin tumbling while prone (a full round action).
Round 3, initiative 8
As Nevai's healing energy washes over Micah the bloodied swordsman finishes rolling out of the wooden death-trap's reach and drags himself to his feet. using standard action to complete the tumble and move action to stand from prone
Leto V. Derexhi
Round 2 INI 19
Leto, standing next to the sarcophagus, gives him a good kick.
What kind of ancient witchery is this?
Kick (Improved Unarmed Strike): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 161d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Kick (Improved Unarmed Strike): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 151d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Game Master Listener
Almathea rushes to the door and attempts to close it, but the force of the rushing water makes that impossible.
The combined attacks of the others seems to have some effect, but the sarcophagus isn't slowing down.
Round 2: Initiative 5
The sarcophagus continues to swing around batting at those around it. First, it tries to slam into Leto,
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
It then spins and attempts to swallow up Setesh,
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Swallow Whole: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
and does so! Setesh is now trapped in the box.
The water has now risen to about a foot in the room.
Those on the platform are fine as it's only a little wet at the moment and not too slippery. Anyone not on the platform is considered to be in difficult terrain.
Setesh Bantling
Setesh groans, and draws his sickle, which he proceeds to wedge into the sarcophagus' vulnerable bits.
Sickle: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22, for 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 4 + (5) = 15 damage.
Heh. That, ladies and gentlemen, is why it is not a good idea to swallow whole the person with sneak attack ;-)
Not including flag-bearer, since I can't see it ;-)
Erei Jentis
Round 2 - Initiative 6
This doesn't seem good.
Erei will move carefully up onto the platform if possible.
Round 3 - Initiative 6
Erei will attempt to fire at the sarcophagus.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 - 2 - 4 = 9
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Active Effects: Flagberear (+1 morale to attack/damage)
Leto V. Derexhi
Leto also looks around for an escape route from the room, as he notices the water.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Almathea
Unable to shut the door on her own, Almathea moves back over to the platform to help beat on the construct, though she hasn't much chance of hurting it.
attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Nevai Alaro
Round 3, Initiative 9
With Micah back on his feet, Nevai moves back to deal with the immediate threat before concerning himself with the rising water.

Round 3 INI 19
Leto looks for a good possibility. 5 foot step to flank with someone if possible
He kicks the sarcohpagus thing again.
Kick: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 171d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Kick: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Game Master Listener
Setesh bursts the cover of the sarcophagus easily shattering part of the door. While many of the other blows don't seem to be doing as much damage as they would normally, they are slowly whittling down the construct and it seems like it will fall apart any moment.
Round 3: Initiative 5
The sarcophagus flaps its door at Setesh,
Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
And backs into Leto,
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The water has now risen to about a foot and a half, and is slightly higher than the platform.
The platform is slippery, but not that difficult yet. With the current rate of water coming in, it soon will be.
Also, this dice roller is in-sane. On that note, make sure to keep track of how much damage you've taken.
Setesh Bantling
That's if you are trying to chop your way out (and doing so does no damage to the creature itself) - I just wanted to attack it from the inside, killing it faster. However, it is a moot point.
Round 4:
Setesh lies limp in the water.
Nevai Alaro
Round 4, Initiative 9
"No drowning today Setesh. I need you to think or smash a way out of this room before it fills up with water." Nevai says as he backs away from the dancing sarcophagus to heal its second victim. "That's all the healing I've got today, so we need to take care of this in a hurry!"
Back off and heal Setesh.

Round 4 INI 19
Leto continues to hammer down the sarkophagus together with Micah, trying to ignore the prospect of drowning in the room and the lifeless Setesh.

Kick: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 101d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Nevai Alaro
"Thea, can you figure out any other way out of this room? Or a way to stop the water from getting in?"
Nevai looks around the room and shouts, "Who has that last healing potion? Looks like we're going to need it soon, so have it ready!"
Micah Haynes
"There must be a way to shut it off... Anyone see any switches or levers, or unusual bricks we can press?!?" Micah calls out over the sound of rushing water.
like maybe the odd notch Almathea noticed here...
Game Master Listener
The sarcophagus looks ready to fall into pieces, but is still moving and flailing.
Round 4: Initiative 5
It throws itself into Leto again,
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
And attempts to flap at Micah,
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
The water has now risen to about two feet.
The entire room is now difficult terrain.
Leto V. Derexhi
Round 5 INI 19
Leto looks heavily bruised, but keeps standing and continues to kick.
Kick: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 = 151d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Kick: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 231d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
