Setesh glances sharply at Micah.

"Hanging your hammock from two statues depicting the Osiriani god of embalming may not be particularly wise. That said, let's conduct a thorough search of the room."

Setesh then settles down to do exactly that.

Perception 'Take 20' = 30.

So, did we get through the door that had no hinge or way to open it?

"I'd personally prefer not to rest in the location of someone's final rest. When we decide that we've gone as far as we can for today, I suggest we head back upstairs, seal the entrance and camp outside."

Nevai helps Setesh search the room carefully.
Perception, aiding Setesh: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

The door with no hinges remains unopened.

Rolls:

Almathea: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Erei: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Leto: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Micah: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
Nevai: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Setesh: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Wow...

Just as Micah hops up to the platform, Almathea notices a notch on the wall. A switch maybe? A moment later the doors slam shut behind you and you hear the sound of stone grinding on stone echoing in the walls.

I need a Reflex save from anyone standing in front of the doors, DC 15. I assume this is Leto and perhaps Erei? Either of you may be on either side of the door after a successful save. Failure and you're prone in the room.

Electricity arcs out crisscrossing the room over the central platform.

Electricity: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
Micah, Reflex save (DC 15) for half damage.

Initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5

Surprise Round: Initiative 5

The flash of the electricity fades and you hear the creak of wood as the sarcophagus snaps open. It looks almost comical as it flips up off the ground and leaps at Micah...swallowing him whole and slamming shut!

Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Swallow Whole: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Please roll initiative. Almathea may, of course, act in the surprise round. Currently Micah is inside of the sarcophagus. It is lying on the platform, no longer moving (other than any shaking that Micah may be doing inside). Knowledge (arcana) rolls would be appropriate.

Almathea is just about to tell Micah to get himself off the dais so the Setesh can check it, but before the words come out, the sarcophagus leaps up and snaps shut on Micah.

I'm not sure what the check is to swallow whole but a 12 misses my flat footed or touch AC, or my CMD... Of course, all of that is largely academic because full damage from the electricity plus the bite damage renders me staggered and very soon to be unconscious...

It should hit your flat footed CMD, unless I'm missing a modifier? (It's a check against CMD). When you're flat footed you don't get a dexterity modifier to your CMD.

Round 1, Initiative 9

Nevai jumps as his view of the hingeless door is abruptly cut off and turns his attention back to the room just in time to see Micah's boots disappear into the sarcophagus. "I was about to say, judging by the numerous traps and guardians we've encountered thus far, the hidden door without hinges likely leads to the real tomb, and this is probably a decoy. What do you think, Micah? Don't worry, looks like I'll be the one protecting you this time." Nevai says as he draws his sword and attempts to destroy the trapped decoy sarcophagus.

If you're willing to walk though where it theoretically might threaten, you can get there in one move. It doesn't look like it threatens and it is "technically" in the grappled state.

Leto: Only Micah was on the platform and took damage from the electricity. Your Reflex save was to keep from being hit by the door and being thrown prone. You are prone, but no damage. Also, the sarcophagus, while currently not moving, doesn't seem open-able by prying with bare hands.

Almathea:
The sarcophagus is an animated object. It's made of wood and gold. It is probably vulnerable to cold but otherwise has the normal hardness (5) for wooden animated objects.

Almathea rushes to the door and attempts to close it, but the force of the rushing water makes that impossible.

The combined attacks of the others seems to have some effect, but the sarcophagus isn't slowing down.

Round 2: Initiative 5

The sarcophagus continues to swing around batting at those around it. First, it tries to slam into Leto,

Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

It then spins and attempts to swallow up Setesh,

Swallow Whole: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

and does so! Setesh is now trapped in the box.

The water has now risen to about a foot in the room.

Those on the platform are fine as it's only a little wet at the moment and not too slippery. Anyone not on the platform is considered to be in difficult terrain.

Setesh bursts the cover of the sarcophagus easily shattering part of the door. While many of the other blows don't seem to be doing as much damage as they would normally, they are slowly whittling down the construct and it seems like it will fall apart any moment.

Round 3: Initiative 5

The sarcophagus flaps its door at Setesh,

Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

And backs into Leto,

Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

The water has now risen to about a foot and a half, and is slightly higher than the platform.

Also, this dice roller is in-sane. On that note, make sure to keep track of how much damage you've taken.
