George chuckles, "Isn't your currency the Rupee? The dollar is only slightly younger than the pound by seventy years. But it is the only acceptable currency other than gold or silver in this country. $100 is a lot of money for most people more than a month's salary."
George turns to the photographer, "Sorry for my friend. He can be a bit overzealous. We have some sensitive things to photograph that we need to run to Washington. I will give you even more money if you can keep it quiet."
Morroway
"Yes, this is a matter of security. We're not quite sure what it is, but it was pretending to be a person like you or me. We need photographic documentation before anything... unfitting can happen to the evidence."

Pendleton looks pale, as if about to vomit, but nods agreement and ushers you into his studio. There, he quickly sets up the lights and a camera, bulkier than the new Brownies, but doubtless of higher quality, striving for the best angles.
Shaken by the sight of the rotting lizardman, the photographer assures you that the pictures will be developed by first light, and bids you to leave as soon as you have the prints.

They are still obviously not human, but not recognizable. The flesh seems to be crumbling.

The group manages to hide the remains in a pair of steamer trunks without drawing any undue attention. You catch an early train, but it will take most of the day to reach Washington.
Any activities on the train?

Thief: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 5) + 5 = 12
Detective: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 = 15
You all pass the morning pleasantly, napping and playing cards. However as the afternoon starts to wear on, Van Winkle notices some passengers that evidently got on at Pittsburg, who seem... suspicious. He sees through the window of your small cabin two large men peeking methodically in every compartment, evidently looking for something.
By the way, where are the photographs?
GM RDNinja
The men approach closer, and they seem to be carrying a few photographs, which they are referring to as they look into the cabins. It will only be about a minute or so until they reach yours.
Be aware there is a shade you can pull on the interior window for some privacy. The outer window will not open, however.
GM RDNinja
The men approach the door to your cabin, and you hear them pause outside. Slowly and silently, you see the door strain silently, as one of them tests the lock from the other side. The door does not open, however, and the pressure is released. Footsteps on the other side of the door tell you they have moved on.
What now? Just hole up for the rest of the trip, or take action?

David, stays silent through all of the potential commotion.
I wonder if they work for the dead lizard thing? Or worse the government?!
David, looks to the others, concerned about what the lizard-like alien things are doing to them. Not so much directly, but rather indirectly.
In a low whisper, after the guys are gone, So, should we hunker down here? I might be able to take the guys without too much struggle, but that would cause suspicion to our travels?

Morroway raises a doubtful eyebrow to George. "They were. And I doubt they're simply going to walk away and forget the matter. I suspect they'll be back with more of them, or worse. I propose we change trains at the first opportunity. Perhaps changing cars for now would be prudent."

Moving on...
Stealth: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10
Victor sneaks out of the compartment and hangs back, observing the two slabs of muscle making their way down the length of the train.
Detective: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 6) - 1 = 10
Detective: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 4) - 1 = 8
At one point, one of the two turns around, but Victor turns and hides his face behind another passenger as he scans the crowd, and he soon moves on. The men are still looking at faces, and apparently comparing them to photographs they carry.
The men are about two cars away from the baggage car at the front of the train. That's where the remains are held, and for the record, it's a dedicated car that would normally be empty of passengers.
GM RDNinja
Victor continues trailing the men as they make their way closer to the baggage car.
Detective: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 2) - 1 = 5
Detective: 2d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 3) - 1 = 7
They make it all the way to the front of the train, and duck into the baggage car without noticing Victor.
Do you want to follow them in? You'd be alone, and there likely wouldn't be any bystanders to blend in with.
