** spoiler omitted **...

Quick FYI: I forgot to add my extra human feat: Dodge. It's already added in the stats however I think.

Alright, changed out Hell Knight Ancestry for Bully to confine to the allowed books. Though, will you allow the use of Fencing Grace seeing as it was meant to be in the Advanced Class Guide, got put in Advanced Class Origins when they realised they forgot it, and then recently reprinted in... Ultimate Intrigue(?) so it'd be in the main line of books?

Fluff:
Szordin's conception was one of deception and witchcraft, his mother being a human witch of some notable power given a task to charm and bed a Drow Noble of the Darklands. The telling of this accomplishment is long and a tale all of its own, but for our purpose, know this: his mother Talyenax was successful in accomplishing her dark patron's desires and became swollen with child of mixed heritage. She returned to coven then to give birth and prepare the son she would bear to become the host for some evil being waiting for such an opportunity.
Chance however would not relegate such a fate to the yet unnamed Szordrin as a powerful wizard named Albrecht and his coterie would descend upon Talyenax's coven and disrupt the terrible ritual. How they came to learn of this great potentially disastrous event is a story worthy of its own song, but we shall not tell it tonight. The fate of Talyenax is not known, but her defeat was sound, and her coven destroyed. Albrecht had saved the baby boy and brought him to his wizard tower to raise.

Albrecht was no fool and understood of what race the boy had descended. He chose a name from the boy's heritage and anticipated him to become a great arcane master...but the touch of magic elluded Szordrin. For years Albrecht tried to find the magic spark within, but despite Szordrin's blood, there was no success. Eventually some magical abilities of his heritage emerged, but still not the power to control all that was.

Albrecht found himself obsessed in bringing out the young man's power. He would study the stars and planar portents for clues. After a while, he began to hear a whisper. Something that promised the means to unlock the arcane might Szordrin surely held. The means required a ritual...

Sadly, the powerful mage was slowly corrupted by the whispers from the void of the heavens, and began to prepare the ritual which might have brought calamity had it been allowed to complete. While a weeping Szordrin was strapped to an altar by the only father he'd ever known, now fully mad, and made to stare deep into the Dark Tapestry so that his mind and soul could be consumed and his body a host for something wholly evil, wholly chaotic...something stepped between. The darkness wailed as it was once again thwarted, but quailed before the power which saved the boy and fled...for now. The ritual exploded in spectacular fashion causing a meltdown of several of the wizard's experiments. The Tower of Albrecht became a place of dangerous rogue magic and experimental creations which has drawn many adventurers to this day.

All at once something flooded into Szordrin opening up his mind and body to greater things...but it wasn't arcane power. Instead it was divine. Upon having his soul opened by this mysterious savior and feeling their touch grant him abilities he had only dreamed, Szordrin also began to hear the voices. The voices were familiar...they seemed to be anyone who may have died because of Szordrin. Some were angry, some were sad, some confused or mad. Nonetheless, he has not been successful in escaping them, and he must learn to harness his power despite these spirits who haunt him.

Life has been difficult for the Half-Drow, and he has lived life as a nomad drifter coming far from his birthplace in Varisia. His dreams and the portents of the heavens have been filled with a great green monument recently. He has come to believe his destiny may await him there...

Just to be super clear, nothing in the Player Companions, Campaign Settings, Adventure Paths, Ultimates, or the ARG (except what pertains to the Core Races) is on the table?

I've already built my character from just Core, APG, & ACG at the moment but before I make purchases, just want to be 100%. :-)

Correct.

How about a female Shoanti Bard (Thundercaller)

Would you be OK with the Archtype?

Since that is pretty cool flavour, I will allow it.

I would like to apply for the ranged spot.

What would you prefer, a gunslinger or flying blade. I just ask because many people say no to gunslingers

Both are legal, so you can play either.

I'll update the character postings when I arrive home later in the evening.

He'sDeadJim and I would be a good team, also can I add alchemist to my character late?

I think we would be redundant with our abilities.

=)

It is with great regret that I inform you guys that I have to cancel this recruitment. Unfortunately my current living / work situation has changed and I won't have the free time to commit.

Again I apologize all; I was really excited for this. :(

Hopefully you can join some new adventures soon.

*sigh* Figures.

No hard feelings though. I'm sorry to hear of your personal troubles, and I hope you will find an equitable balance that brings you satisfaction soon. We all go through these life moments, so I certainly can understand. If anything changes, please let me know if you're asking for applications.

Good luck to you and everyone.

Rats. Oh well.

Sorry it didn't work out.
