Suzume listens intently and notes the sullen expression on Gogrin's face, even the single tear. Recent eventss must be weighing heavily on him.
He does his best to be encouraging to the dwarf.
"I assure you, Gogrin-San, we will handle this situation with absolute finesse and care. Though I have not know my companions long, I know that they are capable of anything you ask of us." He nodded softly. "You only need ask and we'll be ready to act."
Damn wine making me sentimental

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

zipping about he smiles as his dedications are confirmed.
Then as the outline of tomorrow is given, he takes out a tiny note book and silver point pen and makes some notes. After he is done he slips it away again.
"Well I have nothing more to add until tomorrow I feel, I have some ideas of how your culprit is doing what they are doing but until I have some evidence its all speculation. I would ask this, the area around the wall breach, have you inspected the Angel Oak's roots there, what state where they in?"
Then once replied to he says
"I shell still like to have a look myself, now as for tonight, this dos look a fun city, you know there must be a dance on somewhere with music far, I think I shall go and ask around and see where it is, I shall ask at this Inn I think, its sounds a fine place. Will be be the only outside visitors* there may I ask"

Telula, The Lightning Bearer |

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Telula looked at Vasu with a slight curiosity. What makes her so special I wonder?
The Majar, with a full belly, stretched and said, "Actually, I'd like to see about getting a room for myself. I could use a bit of a nap."

Sealith Dealesk |

Turning to Vasu she would translate for her.

The Angel Oak amplifies the magic here in 42, it hums above the burial grounds of all the past Sons of Terrak, from their first heir to their last heir. We have a special bond with it, and that blooms into more and more power here as time goes on.
Our beasts, however, do not answer to us. Or rather... They do, and they do not. Chelya and Binsk answer directly to me, but the enforcers, the sabers, the hawks, they are a different relationship because of their intelligence from the tree. So while they serve 42, they can be tampered with.
This is why I am to remain at the Angel Oak for so long each day- I am an amplifier of their senses, their intelligence, and the Angel Oaks magic throughout this great city. But... If someone were to tamper.. with the magic...
It seems the mother is tired.
The more the Mother puts into the magic here, the more tired she becomes when she leaves the Angel Oak. We have been trying to find the person tampering with the energy and the animals here, and we have been investigating them... But all the hawks talk about is something coming, and no one else feels it.
When Revelation, or, rather, the infiltrators attacked the wall, the animals were aware of it and with it in our search for them. The infiltrator is most likely able to either hide among the animals in some sort of disguise, or can hide their scent. We are unsure...
Gogrin is apologizing for snapping.
We mean it... The Mother means it when we say we accept you all as friends. It has been a long week since the wall was breached... The Mother grows more and more tired from it.
When he speaks to Peripeen.
I am relieved, however, to see another politician in our midst. A critical thinker, at that. I should not have been surprised- you are correct, Lord McGibel. The wall is stone and tree combined; it has roots and vines from the Angel Oak that are the very structure the stone sits upon. While destroying the wall doesn't really interrupt the magic of the Angel Oak, it does leave us exposed, and, I'm assuming, allows animals near there to be tampered with as well.
This is the trend we have seen in the saber deaths, too- they have all been killed within only a few hundred feet of the wall breach. But we still have not been able to link anything to anyone. This is a great, and disappointing failure.
Alexis
You must realize, we... Are not akin to being friendly with outsiders. I assure you, Sealith, but the situation is correct. The Dominorum Empire wants our goods- and we refused to do so until we could figure out just exactly how to protect our Angel Oak.
Now, in regards to how many people we need, well- It was clear the tiefling was going to get excited again This crew will need to be HUGE! Almost any basic hand can do it, cause I can direct the reconstruction, but I have other duties that call me away from recruitment.
I believe 12 people should be more than enough, in addition to you guys, to aid in reinforcing the wall. Gogrin can help you with the funds, and I can give you the management and supplies.
I like your idea, Lord McGibel, of making our defense system better. We will coordinate that with The Mother after she has awoken tomorrow morning in the Angel Oak.
You two, at least then, will come with me tomorrow morning near the Vault and examine the bodies of the Sabers. Gogrin has kept them locked up in a cool room to keep them from decaying.
If that is all, I bid you both good night- don't worry about where you are sleeping, this little guy will show you to the inn you will be staying at! Don't worry, if you aren't tired there are PLENTY of ways to entertain yourselves for the rest of the night
Looks like they want you to go with the Mother, Vasu. I will come with and let you have your private council. But, I wish to check on the mother, how she went faint and such reminds me of various types of poisoning. I would like to check on her as a healer and see if a different view will notice something to help. Plus, walking back and forth it is best to not be alone Vasu. I will let your secrets stay with you for now.
How can I ask you to trust me if I can not trust you.
Suzume is assuring Gorgin we are a capable group. Peripeen is asking if they have inspected the breach and either way he will inspect it himself also. For tonight no more questions.
Once done translating she looked at Alexis. "I will be going with Vasu, it is best we stay in at least pairs and I would like to see what I can do for the mother. I am a healer and it is possible a new set of eyes on things could reveal something overlooked. Or bring something to help strengthen her."
Sense Motive 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Sense Motive 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
If she detects the nuances going on her draconic face doesn't give up she notices.

Vasu |

Vasu's feathered head grew heavy as the conversation went on, barely sparing a glance at the group and making only a slight effort to keep Sealith's translations locked in her mind. It was a lot to take in, and Vasu grew more and more introspective as the lengthy chatter went on.
Vasu finally shook herself awake when she heard Sealith mention something about a request from Mother. Her shoulders visibly relaxed as she heard the words spoken, but her relief was short lived- two large cats advanced toward her, and she leaped back in disgust. As one of the sharp-toothed cats brushed up against her leg and let out a deep purr, she cursed under her breath.
Understanding that she had to comply with Mother, though, she pushed aside her discomfort and jaunted towards the sickeningly beautiful creature, ear tufts lowering as a subconscious sign of submission to the powerful being. Angering a creature who had power over her life and death was not something on Vasu's agenda for the day.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Perpireen seeing Vasu discomfort at the cats, zips flys around Vasu but talks in cat to the cats, he says to them.
"My dear cats, are you playing with this poor mouse, he looks scared and you have such lang claws and long teeth, tell me of your brothers and sisters who where taken at the broken wall. Who where they and what has been whispered of their killer/s. Then tell me of the cold, the birds above talk of it, if it being wrong"

The Council GM |

The Mother desires this one... We will show her to her... along with the dragon one...
At the mention of the other dead saber cats, their eyes became sharp and narrowed as their tails gave a single, intimidating flick
Someone is killing them. We are the strongest, you see. We command them. They patrol at night, looking for the traitor, and yet... when they smell something new, they die. A blade deep into their throat. A smell of... Fire.
The cats then lead Sealith and Vasu outside of the Mother's dining quarters and back to the Angel-Oak in the most narrow path, followed closely by the dwarf Gogrin and the Sons of Terrak from the roof. Upon entering
The center of the Angel-Oak was different this time. The moonlight from the sky appeared to make The Mother's skin almost glowingly pale, but her green hair much much brighter than before in the sunlight.
Branches producing from the inside of the Angel-Oak were wrapped gently over The Mother's limbs with a green hum.
Alexis put a single finger to her lips as she shushed the group before whispering Through out the day the Mother fuels the magic of the Angel-Oak as the sun is out and bright, fostering all the beauty you see here. But... At night everything rests, just as everything in nature needs to rest. When the town rests, it aids the Mother in recovering from the strain of boosting its aura. However, the Mother, desperately trying to strengthen the power of 42, has been going for too long during the day and the night doesn't give enough time to fully rejuvenate her for the next day.
It seems tonight the strain finally caught up with her.
As Chelya and Binsk led Vasu and Sealith out of the room, Gogrin returned to his beard stroking sigh as he looked over Suzume, Lord McGibel, and Telula. Pointing at Telula first, he waved her over I can take you to a highly recommended inn- no worries, no charge. Not for as long as you all help us with everything here. Food, on the other hand, I can't give for free- we have to keep the local merchants running after all.
For the rest of you, I can have one of our hawks be a personal guide to whatever it is you'd like to do. We have plenty of gambling, dueling, women, and entertainment to fill the last few hours of your night.
Afterward, the hawks will take you to where Telula is resting.

Telula, The Lightning Bearer |

Standing up and moving to the Dwarf, "Thank you kind sir, I much appreciate that." Turning to the others, the Majar said, "I guess I'll see you all later then?"

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Bows to her as she says this.
"See you on the morrow Fair lady."
Then he looks around for she Hark chaperone. Seeing it he flys over.
"I will bid you all a good night, and I will seek revelry and music this night, for such is the want of a Fay."
"Let us fly over the city."
Once they head outside and to height
"Now for revelry and music."
Gos looking for revelry and the sound of music.

Jaster Kite |

"Revelry, sounds nice." Suzume said, pulling himself up from the table. "But I know not of any better revelry than that from a Tengu settlement. The stories that I could tell would amaze even you, milord. I believe for now, I will drink wine until it puts me to bed." He grabs a bottle from the table. "Good night to you all." He said, parting with a Tengu blessing.

The Council GM |

Lodge Crew: You can read one another's since you are in the general vacinity, spoilers just made it easier to divide the paths
Gogrin waved Telula and Suzume over as they then walked, side by side, through the dark 42 streets. A few sabers could be seen chasing mice as Gogrin timidly continued to stroke his beard.
After passing a few musicians on the street and a bustling tavern, Gogrin waved Telula towards a shabby, tall building wrapped around and around with strong, thick vines. There was no door on the building, and inside Telula could see an innkeeper smiling at her and Gogrin, waving them in.
This will be your inn until tomorrow- there is no rent fee, and Matilda will show you to your room. Gogrin gave a small smile to Matilda as he then turned back I will be going back to the 42nd Vault. Should you, or anyone else need me, simply make this sign to the Hawks or Sabers, they'll show you the way. Gogrin rubbed his thumb and pointer finger together- a common symbol for "money" or "more".
Oh- Gogrin turned back one more time after only being five paces or so away And of course, enjoy the wine, my feathered friend.
Revelry? Music? Here!
The Hawk spun through the air with Lord McGibel, taking dives and swirling through the night sky as two specs over an entire city.
The Hawk nose dived at a steep angle, right in line with Lord McGibels; the cold air rushed past both of them, sweeping back his hair as he did so. The Hawk tilted its wings back, coming to an abrupt stop and float over a band playing near where Telula and Gogrin had stopped.
Five people stood playing; one drummer, one flutist, one singer, one violinist, and one citar player. Others danced in a circle around the group, ale spilling all around them as they chanted the chorus recklessly and loudly.
Angel Oak Crew Only <3
The Mother slowly raised her head from the floor of the Angel-Oak at the finish of the Tiefling's sentence, waving the two over Alexis, thank you. I must ask you to leave... I have private business with this one.
Her speech was much slower than usual, and her finger pointing at Vasu quivered slightly with exhaustion. Her voice was softer than usual as well, as if she was dreaming.
Alexis bowed out, with a quick "ado" wave from the top of her head to Sealith and Vasu before closing the Angel-Oak's door behind her.
Chelya and Binsk slowly walked the two over to the Mother as she gave a small smile The letter your Speaker gave me, Vasu... Ah, that's right, I forgot. You both speak Auran, don't you?
With a tired sigh the Mother changed her tongues- her Auran was rough, but understandable- That... that note. Your Speaker said you had been here before, Vasu. That you have done work here before- that you have hunted here before. Is this true?

Telula, The Lightning Bearer |

"Thank you again Gogrin, I'll be sure to see you if I need to." Telula replied. After being ushered to her room, the Majar set down her bag and looked through her belongings. Hmm, I may need to look into getting some weapons. If there's going to be trouble, and my spells run out, I don't want to burden anyone trying to protect me. She thought. Pulling out her spellbook, she browsed her spells debating what ones she may change in the morning. It didn't take long for her to decide that her current selection was enough. Laying down in the bed, she pulled out one of story books and read herself to sleep.

Vasu |

Vasu shook her head slightly, before a sudden look of realization overtook her feathered face, her amber eyes widening to sizes even larger than their typical owlish width. "Master Mother, Vasu think that she has before, even though she may not have realized it. Vasu has lived entire life... l-life..." she trailed off a bit before snapping back to the present. "...her entire life, before the incident with the humans, with her Order. She maybe have hunted with Order here, but she not be sure." She paused and thought again. "Vasu see land, she might remember it."

The Council GM |

The Mother laid back down, Chelya and Binsk laying next to her as they began to pur themselves to sleep Ah... That is good... Because I have a special assignment for you, Vasu. And you, Sealith, if you are up to it.
The Mother paused for a while, as if she had fallen asleep for a moment and then re-awoken You both will be going beyond the wall. To the forests just past the Eastern breach, where the invaders broke through.
We need to be sure they are not amassing another attack before we repair it, and, well, our hawks have no combat capabilities. Since both of you can fly, and Vasu was given to me as a special gift... This is your mission. Sealith- you are free to accept, or reject, my dear. Though your look is... Intimidating.
And this one- The Mother gave a smirk and faint point to Vasu as she stared lazily at Sealith I think she respects your presence.

![]() |

Suzume kept Beru close, at the same time nodding at every Sabre he passed by. As he passed the musicians, his gait became dance-like until he could barely hear them any more.
Suzume tested out the gesture. His talons got in the way a bit, but he was able to mimic the general motion. "You as well." He said, then calling to him with another Tengu blessing.
[spoiler=Tengu]"May you die drunk, happy, and only when you're ready."[/Tengu]

Sealith Dealesk |

Sealith looked at Vasu, then at the mother. "If she accepts me as her partner I will aid her in this. I am not the best when it comes to fixing things that aren't living." Looking at her. Her wings flex and stretch slightly but pulls them back in and in their cloak like position.
Taking her time waiting for Vasu's answer she would go through her memories of remedies that would help strengthen the mother every day without compromising her gift to the tree.
Herbalist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Also she would watch her and see if something else could be interfering with her recovering.
Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

The Council GM |

It would appear that The Mother's tradition has only slightly gotten in the way of a process much easier on her body-
Though the mother fully entwines herself with the vegetation of the inner Angel Oak during recovery, you notice that she does NOT entwine herself with them when she then 'powers up' the Angel-Oak during the day.
Most likely means that she is going through several mediums instead of one to connect her to all of 42's powerful life, where as she could be using the Angel-Oak, not herself, as the conduit for the city.
WELL DONE!!!! You guys are catching EVERYTHING!
It would appear that The Mother is sick- as an Elemental she should be attached to the health of 42, but the damage done to the Angel Oaks roots should not have this severe of an effect on her.
No- it is almost as if the land itself is sick. There is a darkness corroding her recovery system, much like how severe stress ruins the nervous system's recovery and sleep habits.
Sealith give me a sense motive roll

Vasu |

Vasu clicked her beak and tilted her head as she contemplated the offer, but her doubts about the dragon creature were instantly quelled when she remembered that any alternative would most likely be land bound. Without any realization that Sealith was deep in thought, she muttered a quiet "you may come" before uncomfortably preening her feathers.
God, feathers.
Too few creatures had them here. It irritated, satisfied, and terrified Vasu at the same time. It seemed as though the gods above lacked any sense of design. All creatures should have feathers, it was only natural. Featherless creatures, creatures exposing their skin, appeared to be sickly or naked all the time. At the same time, their lack of feathers meant that their inferiority was inherent. It made life simple for Vasu; it made life a matter of black and white. Thought was not required; if a creature had no feathers, it meant that they were damned from birth, plain and simple. There was no reason to take the time to contemplate their motives or actions, the actions of a featherless beast were always made to selfishly gain.
...Yet the sheer amount of featherless creatures on the earth disturbed Vasu. Even though the featherless were meant to be subordinate from birth, they did not recognize their own inferiority. And there were so many of them.
For the first time in her life, Vasu felt a twinge of doubt about the absolute power of the Syrinx creep into her gizzard. Genocide against earth creatures had been ingrained in her mind since she could first comprehend speech, but it seemed as though the massive hordes of featherless races would have a much easier time wiping out her own kind.
The notion was troubling indeed.

The Council GM |

WHAT A ROLL!!!!!
Something isn't right about this situation. You notice the Mother isn't angry at something that tore through their wall- you notice she wants to fix it, wants a scouting party, but isn't really amassing forces.
There's a discomforting comfort about her and her village being attacked- especially as a "Last Heir of 42" with no forseeable family.
She clearly isn't involved in the attack- but if you had to guess, she knows precisely what happened and hid it from her advisers.

The Council GM |

After a long day of work, each of you silently walks into the inn, greets with the innkeeper, and silently moved into your rooms.
In each room it is a basic, yet comfortable design- a small twin bed with straw pillows and animal pelt blankets lining its entire body- you clearly will not be cold during your stay here.
There are racks and shelves for your texts, papers, pens, and weaponry as well as a small safe with a lock matching the key you used to enter your room.
Candles line the walls and sit on your one table provided, giving the room a gentle orange glow as you prepare for sleep.
Thoughts and memories of the day past run through your mind, but eventually, surely enough, with Sealith and Vasu still missing, you begin to fall back, close your eyes, and sleep until the next morning.

Sealith Dealesk |

Sealith would look at the mother and comments. "Something isn't right. Through all of this you aren't angry someone tore through your wall. I can tell you want it fixed. You want us as a scouting party. But you are not amassing forces for a war. Strange indeed. You seem comfortable with the fact, you as the last heir, is under such threat and yet aren't doing much to protect this city. I can tell you aren't involved in the attack. But if I were to hazard a guess, you know precisely what happened and have hidden it from your advisors."
Sealith's voice wasn't accusatory, just speculating.

Ah, perception. Suzume's forte.
Suzume was lying on his back, tapping his fingers together, feeling uneasy with the workings of the day. Days that began with ominous, glowing blue entities usually didn't end in peace or quiet. He got up out of bed, a voice in his head telling him he should be listening for something. First he places the side of his head to the door, then he peeks out the window.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

The Council GM |

In twisted harmony with Suzume's intuition, he could hear a loud, inhuman yell and whine as humans screamed. Doors slammed closed and a bell could be heard ringing, alarming the gorillas moving through the area that something had happened.
Suzume couldn't see the beast, but, based on the whine, it sounded like yet another saber had met it's match.
waiting for other's perception rolls to see if you have to wake them up or not should you decide to- DC is 10, no taking 10 obviously

The Council GM |

The Mother's eyes became filled with shock and awe at Sealith's questioning, her hands fidgeted, and it was clear that she was no longer on her way to sleep but on her way to waking up.
How... I see. You truly were handpicked by that man, then. You have to understand that there are things-
The Mother's had crooked, and after a moment, Sealith could hear it too- bells. Most likely an alarm ringing outside.
The shock and awe in the Mother's eyes grew wider than though possible for the elemental herself No. No not now. It's too soon. Vasu!
A Son of Terrak came through the door, his cloth ripped from his eyes as he slowly closed it behind him after two more walked in Mother... It is time.

"Kuso!"
Suzume jumps, picking up his scabbard and hastily throwing on his armor, adjusting it as he walks over to his companion's room, knocking.
"Screaming in street." He called. "Another Sabre had fallen, we must move."
He walked out of the inn onto the streets, whistling for Beru, eyes scanning the area.
"You see anything, girl?"
He follows where he heard the noise, kneeling to the ground and searching for any evidence as to what happened.
Beru's Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Suzume's Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Had found a rafter in his vast room to make a bed on was well into sleep then the screams started, take up his sword he readed himself to head off.
Then out the window to see what as happening.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

The Council GM |

Oh Telula hahaha no -10 on this- the sound DC already was figured into the DC of 10 based on the noise levels outside <3
Telula found herself already at the door as Suzume called out- she hadn't quite seen anything, but she heard more than just screams and yells- she heard some sort of wind blowing across the streets as she ran to meet Suzume, who was tracking. Lord McGibel followed suit just shortly behind, his adamantine blade at the ready along with his wit.
As soon as you exit the Inn Beru gives a grumble and "huff" as it tilted its head to the left, a horn pointing directly at the dead saber cat.
Above the saber cat was a man- or, rather, you thought it was a man. You saw no footprints, and yet the man was wearing boots. No scuff marks, and as far as you could see on the Saber Cat, it was almost as if the man had plunged the blade at an angle impossible to achieve without coming down from high in the air, or... perhaps he could float?
You noticed his skin was pale, yet see through underneath the unique robes and cloak that covered him; they were deep, dark forest green and blew gently despite there being no wind. All across the cloak and robes were golden tree branches and, at the very tip of the hood in brass, a tree that could only be a symbol for the Angel-Oak; An enormous and thick tree trunk with 12 pieces of a circle surrounding it, each died purple, most likely to represent the Jacarandas you had seen the Sons of Terrak resting in just moments ago.
The others came out seeing you, but not him just yet- as they did so-
Behind Suzume, only a few feet off, appeared three men in dark forest green robes and cloaks wrapped in golden limbs of a tree. They were smiling as they advanced towards the group chanting Old is New, New is Old. The Tree is Ours, our Souls are Sold. Old is New, New is Old. The Tree is Ours, our Souls are Sold.

Ad he sees the pale figure Beru gestured to, he thins his eyes and tries to get a fix out of exactly what it was.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Suzume's hand reflexively grasps at the hilt of Toshaburi as the three men come closer to him.
"I hope that you're not looking for a fight." He called, dropping into a stance that had become comfortable over the years of training. "If you think the cloaks and ominous chanting is going to work on me, you're terribly mistaken. I've cooked things more frightening than you."
Intimidation: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

The Council GM |

The men stop, each one noticing the man Beru had nudged towards as he glided over the paths of 42, a wicked scowl over his face
You are capable... of nearly intimidating my men? Interesting. Extremely interesting. Of course that simply means....
The man stopped just behind the other three men as he removed a violin from his cloak That its better to sacrifice you to our Lord now, and soak the trunk of the Angel-Oak tree with your blood. And then my inheritance will finally be mine.
The wand slowly moves across the violin, and the three cloaked men brace themselves while taking an offensive stance-

AH! If only you had ONE MORE POINT up and they would have been running :(

The Council GM |

That doesn't concern you, outsider. And it won't concern you anymore.
The Son of Terrak drew out a falchion along with the other two-
The Mother cried out weakly- it was clear she was still exhausted Sealith... I need you... to help me... Get these vines.. off my arms...
The Son took another step forward, watching Vasu and Sealith both We are taking the Mother, do NOT touch her, Outsider!

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Init 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
As combat Starts uses Vanish SU and Stealth 20 + 16 = 36 then he moves close to the Violin player.
He will act next round.

Telula, The Lightning Bearer |

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
As Telula got outside, the sight of the robed figures sent the young Majar right back to that day at her father's shop, and the thugs. Without even thinking, her hand ignited with electrical energy as she moved forward. "You will sacrifice no one!" She screamed as she let loose a lance of lightning at the apparent leader.

Since you guys all won the initiative round, I'm going to simply have it be YOUR group first, then Minion 1, 2, 3, Man w/ Violin
The man did not notice as Lord McGibel snuck around him and his three others as a blast of lightning scourged into his chest-
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
And slightly blinded him with its flash and sudden cast. Despite his grimacing, his transparent skin whirling beneath his unique cloak, he continued to play the violin with a glaring stare at Telula.
Performance/ Inspire Courage +2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Not in effect until next "round"
Suzume's Toshaburi made a clean cut across the first of the three men bracing themselves after him. Blood splattered the snow, and the man was quite injured despite his pressing forward, the man on Suzume's left closing in as well.
Minion 1 Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Minion 2 Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Despite being fatigued, Suzume dodged the kick and punch cross attack the two attempted, but the man on Suzume's right attempted to sneak past and attack Telula as he yelled manically SHE STRUCK HIM! ILL BE SO REWARDED FOR KILLING HER HERE AND IN THE NEXT!
Suzume, AoO before attack on Telula and beginning of next round of combat

Sealith Dealesk |

POST TRY 12
Sealith grinned wide showing teeth.
Stepping forward without hesitation after seeing the drawn blade her wings spread slightly as she brought her claws and teeth into the fight. Attacking the one that drew the sword after saying. "Challenge accepted."

As Sealith lunged, scraped, and snapped at the man wielding the Falchion he gracefully ducked, dipped, and dodged It's only a challenge if you hit me, dragon.
The man stood, but for a moment, his falchion heavy in his two hands as he attempted to slash it across Sealith's chest- it was clear he was going for a deep wound-
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
But Sealith dodged it herself, her grin and teeth still assumingly bared at the man.
The Mother gave a groan as she slowly but surely rose to her feet- she was tearing away at the roots and vines wrapped around her from the trunk of the Angel-Oak Please... stop... just bring Matthias here, Son of Terrak. You don't have to kill them.
The man to the left of Sealith spit on the floor with an angered head gesture at Sealith and Vasu They are outsiders here to strike a deal with the Empress, with The Mother. This cannot be allowed. A new order is coming to 42, the true Last Heir is here, Elyse.
And he will be your RUIN!
The man cheaply attacked after Sealith Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Confirm Crit 18-20: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
The first blow landed, cutting a deep wound into Sealith's chest, causing her to stumble back- the fates that had guarded her against one blade had failed her so miserably against another-
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3) + 3 = 7
A second blow of the falchion opened the wound into her chest further-
It would seem she would be acquiring another scar from battle so soon.
The third man moved on to Vasu (10 ft.) with a twirl and show of swordsmanship as she struck out at him with her Rapier-
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 12 Failed
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
The man had blood dripping down his arm from the punctures left by the Rapier, but it was not enough to stop him from moving in on Vasu
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3) + 3 = 7
The Mother stuttered You... You cannot do this... PLEASE. Just bring Matthias here!
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (6) - 3 = 3
The man who had missed his strike against Sealith shook his head No. No Outsiders, Mother.
The door to the Angel-Oak then burst open, with none other than Alexis and Kerjak standing at the ready, armed and enraged- Alexis took a moment to observe, her eyes widening on The Mother still wrapped in roots and vines Mother! Kerjak beat his chest wildly, two other gorillas falling in behind him at his yells.
Damn. The lead man turned to face Alexis, his head still turned back to the wounded Sealith and Mother Things... Just got interesting.
To keep it simple and flowing, the order of actions will go Sealith, Vasu, Alexis, Kerjak, Gorilla 1*2, then the 3 enemies <3

Sealith Dealesk |

Sealith's eyes narrowed as she stared at the man in front of her as his blade came down. Calling on her ancestors she heard faintly a voice giggling as she saw the shade of a claw pass through they guys neck. The spirits that followed her maliciously wrapping around the man. Tearing at him.
MISFORTUNE on the guy trying to slice me in half
Sealith's lips pulled back. "Mother's should not coddle their children. You do not teach them discipline. You should be firm with your family even when it hurts to do so or they will never learn. You weaken family by letting them win! FIGHT Mother, or Weaken your entire Family and the land and tree you hope to Protect!" Her voice rising.
"THIS IS WHAT MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME!"
Taking her ire out on the man who sliced her.

The spirits danced through the air, finally in Sealith's favor- they had helped her dodge one, and now lessened the blow of another.
Much to the confusion of the assailant, it was as if his second attack of a deeper wound had never hit Sealith-
Misfortune had befallen him, and his blade, time unravelling to rewind just enough to befall fortune on Sealith Dealesk, the Thrice Cursed Oracle.
Sealith take back 7 HP <3

The Council GM |

Attack for Vasu: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Vasu, in tandem with Sealith, attempted to catch the turned around Son of Terrak off guard- but he dodged the cut, reading it well before her rapier had even moved.
Alexis gave a nod to Kerjak, who handed her from his back a longsword with a certain gleaming aspect to it Divine Bond .
A sudden confidence and ferocity crossed the hot pink haired Tiefling that had not been seen with her silliness earlier. This ferocity as she palmed her longsword quickly changed to a cocky grin as she pursed her lips at the nearly dead Son of Terrak, just torn and clawed into in a ferocious and nonstop attack by Sealith.
You caught us by surprise, last time. You really did! You burst through the walls, you tore up my shops- you killed some of my friends. She gave a nod to Kerjak, and he and the other Gorillas silently left the Angel-Oak- whereever they were going, they clearly were not needed here.
Alexis stared deeply into her blade, as if she were almost in a romantic trance I haven't held you in quite some time- not since, well, not since training. I've wanted to stop using you for so long . But you-
Alexis pointed her blade at the bleeding and torn up Son of Terrak You forced this. You, then- and you- She now pointed to the un-damaged Son, who now seemed hesitant in what he was doing I trained you. You know who I am. You know who I am. Her voice was increasing to a shout WHO AM I?
Intimidate: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Will Save for Son of Terrak #2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
He is both frightened and shaken
The Son shuddered, dropping his sword and falling to his knees I am loyal to Matthias, True Son of the Angel-Oak!
Before the other Son could hiss for him to stand back up, Alexis was now above him, her sword raised high above her head No- you are cursed. I smite thee. Fall, traitor. And soak this blade in your evil blood.
Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36
Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 3 = 17
The Son of Terrak fell headless as Alexis' blade cut clean horizontally across his chest before a finishing beheading.
Her fury turned to the still bleeding and wounded Son of Terrak before Sealith She was one of my first creations... with metallurgy... experimentation. She rolled her eyes as she drew a single index finger along the edge of the blade, blood coating it as it went down while she continued Gogrin had a fit- you remember Gogrin, right? The man you swore to protect?
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 3 = 17
The Son of Terrak grinned as he spun out of the path of the blade
You talk too much- you see, Matthias, he acts !
Attack for Son of Terrak: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 = 11
Alexis easily parried the blow, her face only inches from his I trained you- you know better than that.
The remaining Son of Terrak moved back to the front AoO for you this time, Sealith AoO from Vasu, too
Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
and lunged after the Tiefling
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8
But even while holding her own with the wounded Son, the other still could not hit her-
She was more nimble than she had originally appeared when intoxicated in the Inn.

Sealith could hear the roars and howls of the spirits around her as they reveled in the battle. This was where Samuraian's belonged. In the heart of battle with blood dripping along claws and teeth, and most of it being the enemies.
Unable to let the one who had wounded her get away she took the slight step to flank him and laid into him. After he fell the rest of her attacks went to the last one standing.
