There was a long gap and I've gotten really invested in my Earthdawn Westmarches game, so I just haven't been checking the forums. I sort of thought you didn't get ready to run until next week. >.>

Currently, we are just waiting on Monkeygod before the game begins. As he was the one whose request sparked this game's creation, I feel it is only fair to wait for him to phone in with his character.

I have a really random question completely unrelated to this campaign that I would like to ask. I recently got banned from PSN due to some chargebacks after my bank account was canceled because someone stole my phone at Dragoncon. I am looking towards buying either a Nintendo Switch or an Xbox One tomorrow. Anyone with either system that can tell me how good the games on each are? I've pretty much been a PlayStation fanboy for years and have usually never replaced my Xboxes after they died.

@Purplefixer: The game was last slated to be on the 19th, although I can see how people thought that it was otherwise, what with all the pushes due to the back-to-back cons people were attending.

The Switch's game library is pretty tiny right now. I can't speak to the Xbox One.

Of course, if you already bought a system on Saturday, it's a bit late to respond now. :D

If people need a map, I can throw something together. This room is fairly straightforward, so I figured none was needed for this. This is nothing like room 7, which pretty much requires a map in order to give an idea of the room layout.

Sorry, weekends are often busy for me, though I try to get a post in.

I tried getting the post in, previewed it, and discovered that I am having technical problems with the full attack rolls. The equation, which I properly formatted, consisted of 3 rolls. The first was normal, but the other two were showing 1d20 as 100d20 and bringing me a number over 2,000. Working on a solution now.

After about ten attempts at correcting the formula so it would display properly, an eaten post, and a retype (And an edit to add in the +2 ATK from charge/pounce), my reply is up!

Ouch. Both what you went through and what you did to my poor Grypheonix. :D

Can't wait to see what the second round brings.

Not sure where the GM is. He was posting in some of the recruitment threads I'm in, so idk what the deal is.

Messaged me asking for my action and I responded that I had posted my action (Skip!) because I need to build this undead beasty into fighting with the group rather than chowing down on the non-undead members, and nothing since then.

I was waiting on Purplefixer to reply since I offered to grandfather in actions. He replied the other day that he was sticking with his original action of observing. I attempted to post before bed yesterday, but the message got eaten. I haven't had time to post until just now due to having a rather busy day. About to post now though.

If anyone is interested, I could offer my Discord so people can feel free to poke if there is any issue with posts being eaten, rules questions that need answering, et cetera. That way, people have an easy way to reach me and don't have to worry about what may be going on.

I will be absent from the messageboards completely on Monday. Just giving everyone a heads up.

While we are on these sorts of subjects, what would people feel is a fair botting policy in case posts aren't incoming? I was discussing this with Monkeygod the other day and was wondering what all the PCs would agree is a fair waiting period. Thoughts?

It depends on how fast we want things to go. If we want to keep things moving fairly quickly, two or three days is fine. If we're okay with things being slower, more than that would be acceptable.

Unfortunately the Grypheonix's main defense is his hit point total, so he's probably going to be getting hurt quite often.

For some reason, the website has been redirecting me to the main page when I logged in or tried to access any links yesterday, so not sure what was up with that. Has anyone else had this problem? It tends to flare up early in the AM, which is when I have been trying to post recently due to my schedule.

Another post is up. Finally picking up some post momentum now that work had settled down. There should be no problems with posts for around 2 months, since that is the cycle of the good shift changes.

While the Gryphoenix is fairly smart, he's rather innocent or even naive, having never known much beyond his cramped existence in the Tower. Hence his questions. :D

Indeed. The site has been highly unstable for the past week weeks, particularly the last few days, but I have faith people are just taking a short break.

This is quite an intriguing exchange. I originally just meant this to be the first real sapient foe PCs fought, but PC response has led me to flesh out the character more. I love this game so far!

Yes, this has been fun. I hadn't planned on diving into the Gryphoenix's thoughts so publicly, but I've been enjoying giving him a 'voice'. :D
