Kung sprints up and shows the Cyclops that size matters, the size of the wound he inflicts as he cuts the Cyclops down with one strike.

Red hustles back. "S~+$!" He curses as his companion dies bloodily. He takes a position by the rubble, waiting for his fellwo Cyclopes to join him.

Four more of the Giants pour out of the next room, racing to join the battle.

Marnir takes the opportunity to strike at the cyclops as he lets his guard down but quickly finds himself swamped by more giants which slash and hack at him. He howls in pain as their axe blades score his skin.

He continues singing, holding the line to protect his crew, when he feels a gentle touch on his back. His mind is overwhelmed by a rage greater than any he has felt before and he roars at the cyclopses as he brings his axe down again and again.

As two of the cyclops fall beneath Marnir and Kung's blades, Marnir step forward to confront the last. With the magic of his song soothing his pain and healing his wounds he swings his axe with abandon.

The smell of stagnant water and discarded offal fills this lowlying cave. A wide pool takes up the eastern part of the chamber, while scattered bones lie strewn across the rest of the floor.

Marnir nearly physically recoils from the stink of rotting flesh and rank water. "I hope our bilge doesn't smell like this," he says to Niobe, but before he can say any more the floor surges upwards and grabs hold of Kung, wrapping him in it's thick hide. Marnir reacts quickly, leaping into the fray to cut his master-at-arms free, his warsong echoing loudly across the chamber.

Two doors enter this vaulted chamber, one to the north and another to the southwest. Frescoes of cyclopes are etched into the polished walls to the southeast where a natural stone tunnel leads deeper into the mountain.

G7. Rotunda
An open-air rotunda capped by a small dome overlooks the valley and ruined streets here, connecting to a short rectangular hallwhere exits lead north, south, and east. A collection of clay tablets, each marked with strange runes, lie neatly stacked in the northeast corner of the hall.

Marnir is about to follow the creature but doesn't make it more than a few steps before Kung cuts it down. He instead moves over to the shiny sword and hefts it, giving it a few test swings. "This is balanced oddly," he says, unsatisfied. "Is it magic?" he asks, looking toward Maddie and Niobe.

"I'm not feeling in top form," Marnir says, a slight limp and extensive bruising plentiful evidence of the battering he'd taken at the hands of the cyclopses. "I could do with some of your healing," he says to Niobe.

Currently sitting at 25/93, not keen for another fight at that level.

Kung looks at the frescos of cyclops with curiousity as they pass through the forum, and exhibits the same befuddlement as they examine the tablets in the rotunda.

He sees Niobe healing Marnir, but his own ills were nothing to speak of, not when compared to the rest of the team. He'd be fine, so he holds his tongue. 71/110, with temp HP added on when he rages; he's better off than most of you, so will sit tight on healing for now.
