I have some experience running both Adventure Paths and PbP games, but have no experience running a PbP Adventure Path. I'm looking for players who will be committed to this, as PbP games take A LOT of time. I'd actually prefer it if you would Skype me, rather than post here, as it's easier for me to access today. My Skype username is gibson.tyler . I can offer you any answers you have for me, and we can work on character designs.

Eh, Skype may be a difficulty for some people. In response, I need to know what you mean by guidelines? I'm pretty open to most ideas. If you look over the free PDF that gives you a pretty good understanding. I will want to run a prequel to better explain why everyone is where they are, but other than that, I'm pretty open.
TL;DR All Paizo-published Pathfinder materials are open game for this, pending that I approve it (Kitsune wanting to be on a boat? No.). Please just have EXACTLY one of the Campaign Traits from the Player's Guide. The rest is pretty open.
Wow my TL;DR was longer than my OP.

Yeah, information about banned classes/races is definitely noteworthy, but I had actually meant, I mean, I assume starting level is 1, but how many traits? One is campaign but how many others? 1? 2? And is it rolls or point buy, and if so how many of either?

Yeah, answers to these questions would help a lot in character creation.

If we're rolling stats, I usually come up with character concept after I see what I'm working with. I hope that's ok.
5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 2, 4, 2) = 16 -2 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 1, 1) = 8 -1 = 7
5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 3, 2) = 13 -2 = 11
5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 2, 6) = 13 -1 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 5, 6) = 25 -3 = 22
5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 4, 2) = 12 -1 = 11
Hmmm, that's an interesting stat spread. This might take some thinking.

I'm in the same boat as psychic. Nothing sucks quite like putting a ton of work into a character concept and then getting really s~$@ rolls that prevent you from making it because it's too MAD. (I'm looking at you, Monk.)
5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 6, 5) = 18 -1 = 17
5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 2, 3) = 13 -1 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 1, 3) = 13 -1 = 12
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4, 2) = 19 -2 = 17
5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 1, 3) = 10 -1 = 9
5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 4, 4) = 13 -1 = 12
Well. Hrm. This will be... interesting.

I am definitely interested in this!
I am a total newbie when it comes to PbP, but I am an experienced role-player/gamer.
If you're willing to be a little patient with my newb-ness (for instance, how do you do those rolling things I see in the messages above?) I'd love to sign on for this.
(I have a character concept from an attempt to join a different S&S game, an elven freebooter ranger, which I will probably try out here.)

            Taffer,
You do [di.ce]5d6[/di.ce] without the periods. You can also add a description to what the roll is, which is super helpful for skill checks or attacks, like this: [d.ice=Perception]1d20+5[/di.ce]
It comes out like this:
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
You can also create Aliases for your different characters through your profile, and give them avatars and post as them and etc. It's also super helpful for tracking stats and stuff. For instance, Here's one of mine..

Thanks, YoricksRequiem! Let's see what develops....
5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 4, 2) = 16 -1 = 15
5d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 3, 3) = 14 -1 = 13

5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 6, 3) = 21 -2 = 19
Wow. That's...umm...nice. I can definitely work with that.

I'm actually thinking about going to a 20-point buy system. I know, I know.. I suck at this. The last AP I had was bad because everyone was OP. However, I'd love to have a newbie! Just private message me a concept design
I am going to hold off creating my character until the method of ability score generation is decided on. I rolled some really good stats up there, and I'd hate to spend a day building a character around them, only to have to do it again if the method changes.

I have a Human Alchemist that I would like to use. However, Skype requires a set time, while PBP on here or another location allows for variety and such.
5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 6, 2) = 18
5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 3, 1) = 16
5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 1, 5) = 16
5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 1, 4) = 12
5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 2, 3) = 14
5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 4, 1) = 12
Lets see.
(3, 2, 5, 6, 2) = 18 - Lowest = 16 (10)
(6, 5, 1, 3, 1) = 16 - Lowest = 15 (7)
(3, 3, 4, 1, 5) = 16 - Lowest = 15 (7)
(2, 1, 4, 1, 4) = 12 - Lowest = 11 (1)
(5, 3, 1, 2, 3) = 14 - Lowest = 13 (3)
(1, 1, 5, 4, 1) = 12 - Lowest = 11 (1)
29 Point buy Equivalent. That's not too bad.

I was playing a human gunslinger in a mate's pirate-themed campaign. She was level 8 and had a 40-point buy and a grand dislocator musket. Good times, good times. I'll knock her back to 1st level and 25 points, then submit Aramis Steele for your consideration. I remember her being very acrobatic, climbing rigging and such, and providing ranged support with a musket. She was great fun, even if the campaign was ridiculously overpowered.

Yorick here. I still have a bunch of crunch left to do. I got super caught up with writing the background, and ended up writing way more than any one person could possibly care about. But since I have the race/class/background mostly figured out, I think I can get the submission in now and then go over, well, everything in more depth while you're sorting through the submissions.
