They outnumber us and we don't know how powerful they really are. If the entire crew ends up dead fighting each other and leaves us alive we are still dead since we won't have enough people to sail the ship.
My point is we would have to fight them without their cronies...I am guessing they may be thinking of getting rid of us at the first opportunity as well so everyone will be on their guard. I do want to kill them but it seems like a fairly even fight at this point.
Hmmmm I do have disguise self, I could order the other crew members below so we can deal with just the two of them...what do you think? I am pretty good at bluff as well.

I'm not so sure about being outnumbered. Most of the crew are now helpful or friendly to our cause. Of those who are hostile, Shivikah is dead I believe. We have a slight numbers advantage. Xantrius will be pushing for it IC very soon...

Nakon the Cruel |

The idea that it will be soon is pretty much going to be the only thing stopping Nakon from sticking a knife/teeth into Plugg at the first opportunity - which is as soon as he turns his back. If he does what I imagine is going to happen within the next 24 hours and tries to make an example of Xantrius or Nakon (I'm thinking 50/50) then its probably going to be on immediately regardless of the odds :)

I was thinking the same thing Alex but trying to roll with the punches...I think we would have preferred to have them around the corner and just walk him around it into them otherwise Plugg could win init and just shut the door putting us back to where we started...

Hi all,
I've decided I won't be updating until I get back home.
We've been setting a cracking pace across America and I've realised that starting combat isn't a good idea while I'm away. I'd like to get into it and didn't want to slow things to a stop but I've realised that I can't do justice to this long awaited moment. So I'll hold that enthusiasm back a few more weeks, so when I return I can dedicate myself to making this a decent experience. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Greetings all.
I am back and will be updating things over this weekend. From there, I'd like to try and get on with some regular posting and see if we can move things along. The module is about to shift gears somewhat and when it ends (still a while away) we'll give it a quick review of how we can improve things before, and whether, we go into the next module.
Don't just wait till module end. Any ideas and feedback on how to improve things are always welcome. Feel free to throw even content issues my way. Maybe stuff you want will be coming up, or stuff can be skipped. As GM I should be able to tweak or ignore the module so we all have fun.

Please give a quick go over of previous posts to remember where we're at. I've tried to recap some stuff in the current post. Remind me of things I've forgotten and I'll try and incorporate them where they should be. If you're not sure if you can do something, ask me and I'll give you my take on it. I'll be checking daily now.

Itching for my initiative to come up :). Mata did you include Xantrius' Flagbearer bonuses on your to hit and damage?
I'll track all buffs Xantrius is providing when his init comes up.
To tell the truth I have no idea but with the enlarge person and flag +1 my damage should be 2d6+8 not +7 in my post so I would assume not. If Dave is fine with it can you add 1 to my attacks and damage for last roll.

How do you guys want to do this? Since this is your first real haul, I've given you descriptions, but not what it is. Once we've figured out how you want to identify and distribute treasure, we can cut to the chase, or if you like the descriptive method, we can stick with that.
If you don't care and want me to make an arbitrary decision then as GM I am prepared to take responsibility and just say, "2 potions CLW, a flask of wyvern poison, dagger +1 and a ring of prot +1. Character 1d4 ⇒ 3 gets poisoned. Take damage."
Or words to that effect. :-)

Happy to assume that Mata needs to properly identify everything via spellcraft rolls / identify. Would vote to automate that as much as possible during downtime though. Its not a particularly interesting process and for most of us theres just not anything we can do to influence it.
If we want to take chances using unidentified items we've found mid-encounter day then let the chips fall where they may.

A cutlass appears identical to a scimitar in stats but I'm not sure whether I technically have proficiency with it. DM? If not Nakon passes it back to Xantrius after trying it out. Otherwise I seem well suited to the potion of blur although not fussed. The amulet of natural armour stacks with my sharkskin but not barkskin which I should have...
While technically different weapons, we'll say that scimitar and cutlass are similar enough for all intents and purposes, especially since we're all pirates here.

Greetings all and apologies for my silence.
I have been very slack of late and the festive season has made a great excuse for me to remain slack. So again, my apologies to all.
I don't want this game to expire just yet. While my enthusiasm has been waning, I do wish to at least finish this module. So I propose to remain inactive over Christmas and the New Year and come back refreshed in a few weeks time.
We still have maybe a quarter of the module to go, but pacing will be very different from now on and I hope upon our return we can fall into a routine of regular postings and lots of action.
