Kzrira returns fire injuring one of the archers. Aurichalcum follows up dropping the gnoll with a burning slash. Karethas tries to assist with a spell from cover, but his angle is bad. The remaining gnoll curses the archer and takes her advice, dropping the bow to quickly grab an axe for a hasty swing at the shiny little dragon which misses as Amir's arrow strikes it in the side.
The curious bard moves forward to investigate the noise ahead and is rewarded with a great view of an over-sized spotted hyena as it leaps over the rubble and bounds forward to maul him. Faelar-15 hp bite

Round 2
Oh, sh*t, Faelar get away from that monster. And start singing if you can, that cheerful tune you were singing earlier definitely made my aim better.
I move to L/-8 and fire at the monster dog.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Karethas ibn Faradin
Karethas looks out at the huge beast standing over Faelar's prone form. I can't believe I'm doing this. Sarenae protect a fool like me. He moves along the edge of the building, trying to keep out of the gnolls' line of sight. Once entirely too close to the giant hyena for his own comfort, Karethas begins his spell. He holds out his hand, his fingers splayed towards the huge beast, and a blinding rainbow of colors sprays from his finger tips to hit the beast full in the face.
Move: I,-10
Cast Color Spray (Will Save DC 15)
Let's hope this works or Karethas may be wizard flavored Hyena Chow.
Amir Awad Hajjir
Witht eh dragon engaged Amir distrusts his aim, never trained for such precision shooting. Seeing the elf down Amir drops his bow and rushes to engage.
Charge, pull, smash? 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14 He is big...maybe that hits...*sigh* Move to L-11
Damage is applicable. 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Sheik Voodoo
Kzrira moves toward the dire hyena and fires a shot into its haunch. That stops it from taking another mouthful of elf anyway although Kzrira realizes Faelar is in no condition to start singing.
The next moment Amir charges to the rescue, but his strike is insufficient to cut through the big creature's thick hide. Before the beast can chomp on the old rogue, Karethas releases a wave of clashing colors that leave the beast slack jawed and cross-eyed!
Karethas- give me a d4 for duration, Auri up.
Kzrira Maiwith
Round 3
Kzrira takes a deep breath hoping that the rogue is able to keep the big dog from further mauling the good decision makingly challenged elf.
Nice spell Karethas.
Seeing that the dog appears to be unable to defend itself, I move to M/-12 and fire at point blank. Hopefully I can also give Amir some flanking.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Karethas ibn Faradin
Karethas breathes a deep sigh of relief when he sees the hyena succumb to his spell. He throws another glob of acid at it before scurrying back around the corner of the building.
Duration of color spray: 1d4 ⇒ 2
ACID DART (4 of 7/day) 30ft Ranged Touch Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Damage:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Acid Damage. Can't even hit the broad side of a barn.
Move to H,-5
Sheik Voodoo
Auri stings again and the gnoll looks woozy for moment, then shakes off the venom. Kzrira closes releasing another pointblank shot into the spotted feliform. actually more closely related to cats. Kzrira- can't flank with a bow, but that hardly matters as the beast is blind and stunned. go, go Amir!
Kzrira Maiwith
Don't confuse poor Kzrira with facts. She has decided this is a big dog. If you try to explain to her that it is a cat, she is likely to kick you where it counts and then put an arrow in your foot to remind you not to correct her.
Amir Awad Hajjir
Amir attempts to take advantage of the situation as best he can,
Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
damage 1d6 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + (1) + 2 = 8
?
Sheik Voodoo
Seeing an opportunity, Amir drives his blade into the dire hyena. It jerks in pain, but seems unable to yet respond. Still surprised at the success of his previous spell, Karethas flubs his next. Up on the rooftop, the gnoll manages to hit the persistent little dragon and slashes it grievously with its axe. Auri-9 hp slash

Round 4
Let get this big thing down. Auri, be careful up there. We could use a little healing for our good bard if you can.
I fire at the big dog type thing again..
Attack-Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Sheik Voodoo
The gnoll bares its fangs at the infuriating poking from the psuedo-dragon's stinger, but has yet to succumb to the venom.
Kzrira said she had added and deleted a couple posts, so likely that's what happened. Sorry, Auri- I've rolled over 12 on all three saves- about as effective as a monk's stunning fist :P
Kzrira Maiwith
Auri, get away from that big sword. Let me play 'that arrow looks like a tail' with the gnoll. We need you to get Faelar back on his feet, this is not time for napping.
Karethas ibn Faradin
Karethas runs over to Faelar and checks to see if he is still breathing. "That was one nasty beast and it just downed Faelar like it was nothing."
Amir Awad Hajjir
Amir looks down to Karethas as he checks over Faelar, At the very least tell me the elf is still breathing. Stepping back towards Kzrira Amir hooks his mace on his belt and redraws his bow ready to shoot if the miniature dragon moves away from the last gnoll.
Aurichalcum
Yeah I suspected the poison was pretty worthless, by now I would have killed the thing outright just on average damage... probably needs an 8 or better to save? I was just testing to see if it worked at all - clearly it doesn't. Can I trade it out later for something else?
Will Withdraw once it gets it's attack - kind of half dead at this point... gonna get dicey if I also took an AOO!
Kzrira Maiwith
Round 5
Time to die like your friends.
I move a little closer so that I am within 30'.
Attack-Bow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Kzrira Maiwith
I walk back to Faelar to make sure that he is ok.
Auri, can you heal him? If not, I have a healing potion that should get him back up.
Once Faelar is back conscious, I quickly search the gnolls for anything of value. I then helm Amir pull the knoll bodies into a deserted building. If we can, we also drag the hyenadon out of the way.
Won't these things realize that they are better off just leaving us alone. Oh well, lets find that hyena pen and finish them off, then get back to the tanner's home.
Aurichalcum
The once-again battle disheveled Dragon lands next to Faelar and inspects his fellows wounds.
Raising back on his hind legs, he stretches forward his claws that glow with a warming energy whilst he clucks and whistles a tune akin to a strange windchime for a while, then turns the energies upon himself.
Faelar...
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Auri
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Both parties still wounded, he shakes his small head in dismay.
"My blessings for today are now spent, it will take another day to restore us to full health I suspect. We must be more cautious in future, for that was only a small patrol."
Kzrira Maiwith
Auri, see if you can use that defective wand that Faelar has been waving around. Otherwise, we may have to call it a day. Amir and I are find, but you and Faelar cannot take much more damage. Much as it would help my reputation among the lower levels of society if I told them I had killed a brass dragon. I really don't like those elements and think it would be better to keep you alive, at least until you get too big for the party.
Aurichalcum
Auri looks thoroughly scandalised at the thought of being a Pathfinder trophy, and takes the wand and examines it for any reason it might be defective.
He looks across at the hyena for a moment "If we can't move it, then stab it full of gnoll arrows, they aren't too smart and will be left puzzled"
He then goes back to the wand.
I may have missed it, is there something actually wrong with the wand?
Kzrira Maiwith
Lol - Faelar keeps saying it is defective because it always gets rolls of 1-3.
Works for me.
I grab a bunch of the gnoll arrow to restock my quivers, then stab another dozen into the cat-dog - in addition to the 4 or 5 I already put into it.
Faelar Braegen
Sure, it works for you fine, I have only rolled a 7 once on the darn thing!
Opening my eyes, to see Auri standing over me, I look puzzled, until I realise I am laying down. A strange warmth fills my body and all my pains seem to fade away. I slowly stand up, brush off my clothes and look to my friends, "That ... hurt, a lot! I think it would be smart if Aurichalcum was to be the eyes and ears of the group now, that is twice I have put myself into unnecessary danger and I don't plan on doing it again. We still have this wand, if you want to try and get the snake head, also I have a couple more abilities I can use today, I have an idea on how to use one of them too."
Looking to Auri, "Thank-you; oh great and powerful, Aurichalcum. Without your aid I would likely be sleeping the eternal sleep."
Kzrira Maiwith
If we are going to follow our plan, we need to find the pack of hyenas first to get some snake food.
I begin heading toward where I think the kennel is, once again trying to have some semblance of stealth.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
And as usual, these damn tortoise shells keep getting in the way.
Kzrira Maiwith
Looking back over my shoulder at the dead dog and the naive bard. If the snake can eat a seven foot tall 1000 pound dog, I don't thing that we are quite ready to take it on. Come to think of it, if it is that big, even when Auri does grow to his full potential, I do not think I would want to take it on.
Once I look over the wall.
Well all, looks like the big mother has some rather large children. Do we want to take one alive? Or just take them both out. My vote is to kill them, otherwise they will just grow into what we just killed.
Karethas ibn Faradin
You guys have been busy little posters!
Karethas considers for a moment, "Snakes are hunters, not scavengers, they prefer their food alive and warm. I could stun them with another Color Spray and then we could knock one out and kill the other. It will be a sad task, but necessary."
Is everyone healed to full? We need to use that wand to keep everyone healed so they arent one-shotted like Faelar was. I need my meat shields 8-).
Amir Awad Hajjir
Amir follows wordlessly anxious to move through this next task without eliciting another fight with a patrol. What strange work we have fallen into. Dragging unconscious mongrels to their demise at the hands of other beasts... Amir slips the mace back on his belt and pulls a well worn sap out and slaps it against his hand to emphasize his readiness.
Aurichalcum
Meh, at best about a 35% chance of knocking out a 1hd creature. Easier to club it into oblivion in less time with less risk. Not trying Poison again, totally unreliable against even something basic - imagine trying that on anything with a real Fort save? The Gnoll Experiment was pretty telling :) - Go lethal or go home :p
Auri gives himself a tap with the wand before moving on, seeing as the party is set on heading once again towards danger.
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
"Seems to be working now" He hands back the wand. "May I recommend a Wand of Infernal Healing next time? Much better than those fast heal ones, much more reliable for tidying up after a battle"
He then bounces up into the air above the party, set on keeping an eye out for any more rooftop assailants.
Karethas ibn Faradin
Karethas looks over the fallen wall and nods. "Actually, my sleep spell might be a better choice here. Be ready, it may not work on both of them." He twists the ring around his finger while beginning to chant softly.
Use my Arcane Bond to cast Sleep on the pups. (DC 15)
