"Remind me to never get on your bad side, Joanna," Briana whispers, looking at the woman's handiwork with an expression of awe and possibly even slight nervousness. She quickly kneels down to gauge the status of the three Tower Girls. "All three still seem to be breathing, but not for much longer. What do you want me to do with them?"

I forget how much rope and other materials that could be used for restraints we have left. So we don't get too bogged down, Briana will let them bleed out if we're unable/unwilling to handle any more prisoners at the moment.

There are plenty of coils of rope within these rooms...clearly, with their 'livelihood' as acrobatic burglars, the Tower Girls needed to maintain stores of good quality rope...

Briana- a DC 15 heal check would stabilize them without making them conscious...

"Wow" Teldon whispers, "well done everyone!"

After a quick glance at their surroundings shows that there is plenty of rope on hand, Briana smiles and begins murmuring a short incantation. As she does, she places a hand on each woman in turn, causing their wounds to cease bleeding.

"There. They won't die, but they won't be waking up for awhile either. Let's get them tied up and out of the way."

Pfft, who needs Heal checks when you've got Stabilize? :)

"That went far better than I had feared. Good use of your new magic, Nalathi!"

"Here, Briana. Let me assist you."

Zee also helps tend the dying by casting stabilize as needed. She also ties up the Tower Girls and drags one back into the room where they had been playing cards.

In that room, Zee examines the cards they were using.

Were more people abusing a Harrow deck? If so, no wonder we defeated them so easily!

She also looks around the room to see if they had anything of historical value, treasure, or anything else of interest.

Her chest swells a little at Zee's praise. "Now we just need to deal with the others over there." She points to the other room. "Fraid I can only do that once, I think it needs time to recharge. So if we want to lure them out we'll have to try something else."

"Nalathi, I know you only got a quick peek but if you were to guess do you think the rats would fight for or against those girls in the event of chaos erupting?" Teldon asks pensively.

Examining the room that the Tower Girls chased you from, there are two tattered harrow decks that were being used to create pyramids...several of the illustrations on the cards have been crudely defaced.

The room itself is fairly devoid of interest although the ranseur wielding statue looming over the tables is somewhat imposing.

Knowledge (Arcana or History) DC25:
This statue is clearly Alaznist, the last of the Runelords of Wrath

Nalathi - the rats that the Tower Girls were 'playing' with looked relatively tame...although it would be impossible to tell whether they are trained to fight or are merely pets.

Gazing at the ranseur-wielding statue, Zee remarks, "That figure looks vaguely familiar, but I can't quite place her. I think she was someone of importance in Thassilon."

Gathering the Harrow cards, she looks with disgust at the irreverence a to which they had been treated. "As I suspected, those who do not respect the Harrow will find the forces of fate working against them!" She gathered the cards and ticks them into one of her pockets.

Zed: Are these two complete decks?

Zee also rifles through the prisoners' pockets, looking for clues and/or valuables

Without any pause he turns his attention to Briana, "My thinking exactly... although the hallway may be too long to effectively charge down, so we may need to sneak into and across the first large chamber north of the hallway to get with striking distance before charging."

"Good idea." Peeking around the corner, she notices that the three other Girls are still well distracted by the rat-dogs. Quietly she slips across the hallway into the first room to the north. Drawing a Harrow card from the deck she'd recovered from Nataly's lair, she hold it to her temple, causing it to glow slightly. She then hurls the card at the nearest enemy (a donkey rat). The card spins through the air, trailing white magical sparks. She then ducks behind the wall for cover.

Swift action: Arcane Strike

Standard action: Ranged attack with Harrow card, 70-foot range. (Card range incriment: 20 feet)
Harrow attack: 1d20 + 4 - 6 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 6 = 16

i think with my reach i'm covering the whole corridor... did I have enough visibility to take an AoO against any of them as they ran? maybe just the rats who (i think) are actually going before the girls?

I guess our good fortunate couldn't hold forever!

Realizing that this time they were likely in for quite the fight, Briana calls upon the spirits to aid herself and her companions. "გთხოვთ, გავაძლიეროთ ჩვენი გული და გაუძღვება ჩვენი დარტყმები!"

"Please, strengthen our hearts and guide our strikes!"

sorry for the confusion, i was posting from my phone and couldn't see the map

Teldon takes a deep breath to stay himself against the jolt of adrenaline and tries to think logically about the situation... "they've only seen one of us," he whispers to those who have gathered in the alcove, "they think Zee snuck in here... they're going to approach that differently than coming out to confront a group that fought their way in..."

He pauses for a moment, his eyes closed in concentration, before continuing, "If we hide our selves in the passageway just south of here, Zee should easily be able to lead them into the chamber where we just left their disabled companions... they'll think they have her cornered until we block the doorway behind them... when they realized they've been trapped, and see what's happened to their companions, Zee may be able to coerce them to surrender... and if not, at least we will have cut off the route to call reinforcements."

Teldon waits only a moment for consent and then assuming no immediate objections takes off for the passageway, signaling Jo to follow him along the way.

Joanna grudgingly follows Teldon to his proposed hiding spot...

Waiting on actions / confirmation of plan from Ziomarra, Nalathi and / or Briana before moving things along (in the interest of zipping along, I will go with a majority rather than wait for everyone to post - i.e. 2 positive posts against Teldon's plan and then GM response...I have a busy work day tomorrow so would like to get a substantive post up soon).

@zee- no, we don't... I wasn't trying to follow it there, I was trying to hide there while you lure them past so we can come up behind them once they're in the dead end chamber...

As the mist gradually dissipates, Ziomarra can start to pick out shapes and figures... two of the tower girls have their hand crossbows trained towards the end of the corridor where Ziomarra waits...

She also picks out the cause of the increasing noise...the sound of rats screeching has been amplified with a second pair of rats being held on a tight leash... ..and on the other end of the leash, waits a second lycanthrope... in semi-bestial form...beady eyes and slavering jaws, it screeches, "Get Her!!!

The leash is dropped and, as a grotesque pack, the rats bound along the corridor towards Ziomarra...who dips behind the corner as the crossbow bolts start to fly...

I apologize that this was so confusing... I guess that's what I get for blurting out a plan in game with no ooc discussion... the plan i was trying to convey is for everyone to hide in the tunnel we haven't explored yet (where my icon is currently) while Zee leads them through the area we have explored into the (dead end) chamber where the other group was building the card tower (and their unconscious bodies are currently tied up); then we all charge in from behind, trapping the girls/rats inside that room... once we spring the trap Zee (or whoever) could try intimidate to get them to surrender (surrounded... look what happened to your friends... etc), or we can just kill them without them running off.

Teldon puts out his head lamp and waits quietly for the enemies to run by so he can spring his trap.

Oh, okay! I knew we wanted to set up an ambush, but I was having trouble visualizing where everyone needed to be. I'll adjust Briana's token accordingly.

Quickly following Teldon and Joanna, Briana ducks into the hallway to wait for the enemy to move into position. Just in case they don't seem inclined to surrender, she begins to bring to mind a bit of magic that will hopefully put some of them into a slumber.

S#!t, those rats are faster than anticipated... I hope she can enchant them like she did the gremlins...

Realizing that his plan is not developing as well as he'd hoped, Teldon tries to quickly mime to Briana- making a pillow of his hands and falling asleep against it, then making a floor with one hand and a two legged creature running on it with the other and pointing vaguely in the direction of the coming attackers while nodding... then he leans silently against the wall and waits... i'm guessing i used my standard trying to mime, so i'll wait to next round to act :(

edit: if any rats run past me through my reach i will not take an AoO... if they seem to spot me and run towards me then I will. people running through my reach will depend on whether or not Briana cast sleep yet, and if so what the outcome was...

Briana regards Teldon's pantomime antics (which she might have found funny under other circumstances) with a slight look of puzzlement that shifts to dawning comprehension.

He wants me to try and put the Tower Girls to sleep as they pass by!

Nodding enthusiastically to show that she understands, she attempts to time the sounds of the women's footfalls so that her magic will take effect just as they reach the corridor where the rest of the group is hiding in wait. However, she can't help but be alarmed at the ground that the rats are apparently making on Zee as she heads in their direction.

Ziomarra - you can hear something scrabbling around in the room to the east of you...

On reflection, let's move things along a little...this could turn into a Mexican Stand-Off...fun in IRL game / not so much in PbP - will go with Briana and Joanna's readied actions - Nalathi / Ziomarra - will (slightly unfairly maybe) delay until Tower Girls actions
