Bjorn Stonehand |
Alright guys, let's get this show on the road.
After choosing his share of new equipment, Bjorn tracks down his new companions. Eager to begin their quest, the grizzled old ulfen bristles with youthful energy. "Mab's blessings have been many but I'd say it's time we be moving. Winter won't vanquish itself and I'm not getting any younger."
divineshadow |
Not quite. A fire flinging evocation wizard would not count. He is not intrinsically bound to fire.He make a choice to use it. If that makes sense? Besides your not gonna see a whole lot that could for that sorry. And most things have cold resistance but its still a good sword.... and you can always put out a volcano with it.... >.> <.<
Aldiran Teldessar |
"They required certain...things in return. Nothing with them is ever free. They could want your first memory or the color of your hair. They could ask for anything, and if you agree...well...you live with the consequences of your actions."
"Understood Alex. I guess it will depend on what things in our life we are willing to risk trading away" - she offers a grim smile - "I'll keep that in mind"
Moving through the stockpiled gear, her attention is immediately caught by a well crafted cloak, designed in tones of earth and grey - picking it up as soon as she is informed it will add to her magical resistances. Further along, a pair of exquisite bracers practically seem to call out at her - picking them up, her mind fills with a rush and the thrill of the hunt, much as if her senses took a predatory tinge to them. Donning the item only intensifies the feeling, and the elven woman smiles.
All set to go.
"Agreed" - Aldiran nods - "Time seems to be of the essence, if we want to turn the tide of events"
Alexandyr Sindre |
I'm gonna put this into spoilers to try and speed things along.
The bard looks around for a headband to strengthen his magic and presence (the charisma headband), a more protective bit of armor (possibly a MW or +1 chain shirt or maybe mithril or something similar), or an appropriate upgrade on his rapier (whatever might strike thematic to the ol' bard).
Alex nods to Aldiran. "They're dangerous; very dangerous to bargain with. Makes sure you hear every word they're saying, and understand words for them are their magic."
Once they're all talked out, he too will step through the portal.
divineshadow |
You all come out on a hillside overlooking looking a small village quite some ways away. As you watch you can see a blizzard brewing as the cold begins to seep deep into your bones. You realize it will take several hours to reach the Village in this snow. Hours that you might never make it through given the coming blizzard.
Bjorn Stonehand |
"The blizzard is no danger", Bjorn explains with confidence.
Mythic endure elements should cover this pretty well.
Bjorn Stonehand |
Bjorn chants and clutches his holy symbol, praying for Gozreh's protection from the cruel cold.
Spending two mythic power. One for Inspired Spell and another to make it Mythic.
They treat wind as one category weaker.
He gasps as his normally minor ward to protect him from the elements becomes a literal aegis against the blizzard.
"Mab's gift was potent indeed."
Aric Stenson |
Aric can feel his normally cold resistant body strengthen itself even more against the elements. "Let us go to the village then." Aric says leading the party.
Aldiran Teldessar |
"We need to find somewhere to wait out this blizzard."
[dice=Perception]1d20 + 6
Shielding her eyes from the snow, Aldiran was about to answer Aric when Bhorn spoke - with almost nothing more than a few mere words of prayer, it was as if the string winds pelting them were nothing more than a mere breeze - "Your God answers your prayers as if he walked right beside you Bjorn - thank you for keeping us safe" - she speaks in a somewhat awed tone.
Thorgrim Snowblade |
Somewhere out in the blizzard snows, a voice calls out, seemingly in vain to his sudden disappeared companions.
"Aric! Aldiran! Alexandyr! Anybody!?" The stout dwarf called out in the loudest voice he has.
The sudden disappearance after he felt like he had fallen through ice and snow himself left him dumbstruck. Suddenly this snowstorm was upon him and no friendly face in sight. He wondered if he would ever see a normal landscape again, let alone the faces of his old comrades.
Blast didn't expect it to get so cold so soon. Should have asked Gorum for protection against these elements. He thinks to himself as he shivers a little as he stumbles around in the snow, unsure of where he's going.
Thorgrim Snowblade |
Thorgrim stands still as he thought he heard something or someone call back over the howling of the wind.
Taking the time to listen he hears the same voice calling him again and starts to jostle towards the sound.
Several minutes later a slightly frosty dwarf appears before the others covered in snow and ice. "Am I glad I found you here, don't know what happened but being suddenly dropped into a blizzard... Who's the new guy?" Thogrim asks as he sees Bjorn's face after recognising the other familiar three.
Aric Stenson |
Well Inspired Spell gives +2 to the caster level and the mythic spell gets 1 per caster level so one casting is 4 people in this case. But it costs him 2 mythic power so Thorgrim might be on his own in this case. Or you could let it slide so we can move on.
Bjorn Stonehand |
Bjorn spends two more mythic power to enable the latecomer.
Thorgrim, I suggest you look into options to take care of yourself. When I joined this game there was only supposed to be four of us.
divineshadow |
Okay didnt know it still gave plus two. Was told that was cut in the final draft. So we are good. Sorry all been busy and havent had time to aduit all your sheets and double check abilities just yet.

Its one really really big as in large size preying mantis.
Between Thorgrim's blow and Aldiran's arrow the creature falls. The travelers look at you warily. Ho and thanks for the felling kf the creature but who might you strangers be. And why do you reek of magic?
As a favor if everyone could put their mythic point count in their stat line please.
Bjorn Stonehand |
Noting Aric's wound, Bjorn frowns and studies the waylaid travelers.
"Bring your wounded forward. I will ask for Gozreh's aid."
