Round 10, Init 11
1d20 ⇒ 17
The construct turns and whirrs, gears spin and it swings its mighty spiked arm
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Smashing the silver man.
The pale nosed man stabs Silfir and steps back to A,19.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
1d3 ⇒ 3
The silver man stabs at the construct and steps back to C,19.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Silfir's poison save, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 not sure if it still applies with synth gone. Made it anyway.
Silfr
Silfir's poison save, 1d20+1 not sure if it still applies with synth gone. Made it anyway.
Silfr slumps to the ground after the stabbing.
HP -2
Round 10, init 2
Stabilization roll DC 10, -2 from damage 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6
Silfr bleeds from his wounds. HP -3
Glimmil
Round 10, Init 10
Glimmil holds back his tears, wiping them with the back of his hand as he stands dumb-founded as the machine turns on the bad-men.
Did... it listen?
Seeing Silfr collapse to the ground, he boldly stepped forward feeling a surge of luck at his heels, while swinging his axe at pale-nose.
Attack (axe, poisoned, smite): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
Dyrant pulls out a scroll and steps 5' back.
"Try to stay invisible until I can finish with this spellprayer, won't you?" Dyrant says in a calm and confident voice.
Reading from the spellprayer, "A noble embiggens the smallest man, so too shall St. Cuthbert...". Dyrant continues to recite. You get the feeling this may take a while.
Cast Enlarge Person.

Round 12, Init 11
Finneas's anger and frustration boil over and he cuts down the pale nosed man with a brutal swing.
1d20 ⇒ 18
The construct swings at the silver man but misses.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
The silver man stabs at the construct, but its rapier bounces off the metal. He then steps back into the darkness at B,18.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Glimmil
I think Chris meant Round 11, Init 11 in that last post...
Round 11, Init 10
Glimmil continues to square off with the pale-nosed creature that fatally wounded Atol and Silfr by swinging his axe angrily at his adversaries.
We have a chance now, if Garl would only help me smite this evil do-badder down!
Attack (axe, poisoned, smite): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Damage (axe, poisoned, smite): 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Round 12, Init 23
On his turn, Dyrant will finish reading the spellprayer targeting Finneas with the effect.
"Finneas, will you accept the embiggening of St. Cuthbert? Will you accept St. Cuthbert's power to drive his enemies before thee?"
(DC 15 Fort save to negate.)
Dyrant will then move to B21 and ready to help Old Man Silfr back to his feet.

Round 11, Init 10
Glimmil continues to square off with the pale-nosed creature that fatally wounded Atol and Silfr by swinging his axe angrily at his adversaries.
Finneas "cut down" as in took him below 0.
Now, Round 12, Init 11
1d20 ⇒ 1
The construct stands there, gears whirring & spinning madly.
The silver man steps from the invisibility on top of the bleeding out pale nosed man in A19 and tries to stab Glimmil, but it bounces off his armor. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Round 12
Glimmil = 10 -
Silfir = 2 - Down, but stable at -3 (not that anyone would know that)
Atol = 1 - Healed, but at -1 I believe
Round 13
Finneas = 25 -
Dyrant = 23 -
Also, Finneas, you'll find the construct to be an ally now and you can move through his space.
Glimmil
Round 12, Init 10
AC17 is a hit on Glimmil. Without the witch's ward and his shield, he is now AC17. I'll presume the hit won't kill Glimmil though, so he will continue to attack the silver-man. The bonus to AC from Smite Evil would only apply to pale-nose.
I believe Glimmil may be back to full HP now with Dyrant's +4HP two rounds back.
Glimmil continues to swing angrily at the group's adversaries in a gnomish feral rage, punctuating each axe swing with an "eee", "ehh", "eee" rhythm of yelps.
Attack (axe, poisoned, power): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Damage (axe, poisoned, power): 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
EDIT - Brilliant roll again. Might as well try this...
In between "eee"s and "ehh"s, Glimmil gets a couple words of the following question out.
"Robot, do you speak Gnome?"
"Can you help us defeat this evil silver-man?"
"I promise to fix all the scratches and dents we caused."
EDIT #2 - May be AC19, Dyrant is telling me the Ward may still be up? /shrug

I assume I'm in B21 or 22.
On his next turn, Dyrant will touch Silfr and offer him the healing power of St. Cuthbert.

Dyrant would like to end up in B22.

Round 13, Init 11
1d20 ⇒ 18
The construct wobbles forward to B,18 disappearing past the wall of invisibility. A spiked arm comes out of the empty space and swings wildly over the silver man.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
The silver man stabs at Glimmil, but St. Cuthbert still protects him.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
The silver man then steps back 5' to A,18
The pale nose man bleeds.

Round 14, Init 11
1d20 ⇒ 12
1d2 ⇒ 1
1d8 ⇒ 1
1d20 ⇒ 7
The construct hums in a sickly and inconsistent sort of way and focuses its cylinder on the silver man. There is a sputter and the the silver man takes a point of damage. It might have actually been the sound, or it could have been the sheer ridiculousness of the event, but the silver man is stunned and drops his rapier staring into space.
Round 14
Glimmil = 10 - I'm assuming is in A,19
Silfir = 2 - I see I skipped him. So he actually has two rounds of actions--one with the silver man alert and one with him stunned. (I'm not willing to repost this madness).
Atol = 1 - Channeled already in above post
Round 15
Finneas = 25 -
Dyrant = 23 -
Silfr
Silfr, despite his brush with death, is ready to crawl back into action once healed and awake.
What happens to summons once their caster goes unconscious? Do they get sent back? I'll assume Undzo was killed or sent back...
Round 14, init 2
Standing, Silfr will summon a celestial combatant into square A, 20 and command it to attack the silver man S2. A glowing silver doberman dog
Smite Bite +2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 131d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Round 15, init 2
The summoned creature will repeat the action while Silfr looks around and takes stock of the situation.
Second Smite Bite +2 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Perhaps if I invoke the name of the Sparkling With aloud?

Attack (axe, poisoned, power): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Damage (axe, poisoned, power): 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Round 15, init 2
The summoned creature will repeat the action while Silfr looks around and takes stock of the situation.
Second Smite Bite +2 1d20 +2; 1d4 +2
With the silver man stunned, he is an easy target for Silfir's dog. The doberman jumps up and tears at the silver man's neck and comes down with both bits of cloak and flesh. The silver man falls to the ground.
1d20 ⇒ 8
1d20 ⇒ 18
The silver man will stabilize on his own.
1d20 ⇒ 1
1d20 ⇒ 13
1d20 ⇒ 2

The small one explodes in a flash of light unless someone stops it.
Glad I got rid of all those 1's. :)
We are out of initiative.
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
Dyrant will help Atol to his feet before looking around at the blood stained room.
That was quite the battle...I think we made it much harder than it should have been.
Dyrant, as long as the construct is docile, will begin to examine it closely, even taking out a sheet of parchment to sketch the design.
"Glim, can you read these runes? What do they say?"
Atol Lem
"Thanks for the help Dyrant."
"oh my. oh my. That was quite a battle. Is anyone still hurt? I have healing left to offer and we should be as fresh as we can just in case. Anyone?"
Atol checks his allies for injury and gathers his cudgel from the ground.
Finneas Glenn
"I think I should destroy it while I'm still large. If it stands there I should be able to kill it in one shot."
Hoping for coup de grace on it.
GM_Chris
Sweat dripping from his brow, Glimmil turns to face the machine."I am Glimmil Cobwaddle," he introduces himself with a bow, the words sounding nearly identical in Common and Gnomish.
The gnome waits patiently for the machine to respond in kind.
The machine has no response and no markings or runes that would give you an indication as to how to proceed.
Dyrant examines the machine and finds damage due to age, older battles, and today's battle. Pieces everywhere are missing or broken. It is quite surprising that it is even standing. It's at 2 HP.
Finneas Glenn
"It's not going to answer you Glim, it doesn't have a mouth. Everybody clear out and I'll smash it!"
Once people are around the corner or out of the way, Finneas smashes it from within the invisibility field while still enlarged.
Greatsword +4

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
Dyrant cowers as the blade comes down, destroying this artifact of pure gnomish ingenuity.
"NOOOO! I was skill sketching!"
Dyrant quick scrambles back to check on the ruins.
Dyrant breathes deeply while trying to maintain his composure.
"Dammit! I need a bit more time with it."
Dyrant will return to his examination, now more anxious to poke and prod at it as he diagrams and sketches the thing.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Knowledge (arcana) while examining, even venturing now to try to peal off pieces of shell to see the insides
Silfr
Silfr pats his summoned creature, The Dying Doberman, for being such an effective combatant. It follows after him as he explores the room, leaving little silver footprints that soon fade from view.
Checking the invisibility fields, the corpses, the room. Can I tell what generates the invisibility?
Perception +4 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
GM_Chris
1d20+8 Knowledge (arcana) while examining, even venturing now to try to peal off pieces of shell to see the insides
If I wasn't clear. Finneas' did not pierce what remains of its hard shell.
There is no need to peal off pieces. At this point there are several pieces missing as well as the two large gashes in it from today's battle. You recall that constructs have been made to server numerous purposes over the centuries including digging tunnels. Constructs are not intelligent, but can be created to follow simple verbal instructions.
Peering inside you can see a deep blue spinel “heart” and a 5-inch-long steel rod with a rune engraved on one end and notches carved into the other. Glimmil can tell you the rune is an "A".
Glimmil
As Finneas sword bounces off the hard outer shell of the creature, Glimmil frowns.
"I... I... think it might be listening?"
The gnome tries giving it another command.
Gnomish: "Stand up and guard that cave there against silver-skinned or pale-nosed men."
Glimmil points to the area around A-14
Dyrant Maynor, the Pre-Sainted
Peering inside you can see a deep blue spinel “heart” and a 5-inch-long steel rod with a rune engraved on one end and notches carved into the other. Glimmil can tell you the rune is an "A".
Oh, I take back my dramatic crying and anger!
"Sweet! Glim, is this another key!?"
Dyrant will hold the rod for all to see, evening passing it off so he can watch and continue to sketch the construct.
Dyrant will spend a few moments to look at the spinel at its heart.
Glimmil
Glimmil contemplates misinforming Dyrant that the key isn't really an "A" rune but is in fact a "D" rune, just to see what the outcome of using the wrong letter in a door might lead to.
Garl Glimmergold did favor heroes who came up with clever tricks.
His gnomish mind dances with thoughts of confetti spraying all over Dyrant as a mechanical flower slides out and squirts water onto his robes.
Then his gnomish mind blurs and reminds him of Silfr bouncing around in a spiked pit thirty feet below ground.
He shakes it off.
Clever tricks are for enemies, not friends!
"Yes... I believe it's a de- ... err, 'A' rune."
He nods at Dyrant.
"You should go try it in the nearest "A" door!"
It would be good for the tired man to contribute something!
Silfr

"As I am sure we all recall, there have been three doors with this rune. One which we found propped open, one adjacent to the pit trap, and one at the end of the large hall to the south."
Finneas Glenn
"Then we can lock these creatures in. If they had the keys they wouldn't need the tunnels. If we are going to press on, which door do we choose?"
I need to redeem myself after this showing.

Gnomish: "Stand up and guard that cave there against silver-skinned or pale-nosed men."
The construct follows your instructions.
Dyrant will hold the rod for all to see, evening passing it off so he can watch and continue to sketch the construct.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I see this going.
Dyrant reaches inside the construct and pulls at the key. It's connected loosely to something, but Dyrant is able to yank it out along with a few gears. The construct shudders (losing 1 HP).
