I'm just an old standby in the Rise of the Runelords game that TSP is in charge of. No apology is necessary, I saw that post on the 28th and assumed it applied for all games. Don't worry, internet caps is something I'm sure we have all been there - or at least, I have.
No personal objections to a 5th PC, in my experience, the more active players you have posting in a game, the more enjoyable it is!

Just wondering, does the GM have a plan or ideas for how my character (and this 5th player), join up with the group, which is currently in a combat unless I am mistaken.
Fully open to any ideas etc, just wondering when and how to introduce myself.

I was thinking on the same lines as you Kororinda, someone shipwrecked from a different boat, although whether I am roaming the island alone or - I don't know - captured by this tribe (maybe with this 5th player?), or other such event that allows us to meet I wasn't sure on.
I guess its possible to be on the same boat as you guys, although it would mean everyone was largely unaware that I was on the boat in the first place which is just a little awkward, although amusing!
Well, we can re-set reality a little bit. By the way, we both have Grease, and I think one of us should table it. If I keep it, you might want to take good ol' CLW for our after battle healing..not sure how far Goodberries will get us. Or you keep it and I'll move towards Ear Piercing Scream a little earlier (aka now). Rawr! Blasty!

It seems like there are a decent number of boats smashed up on this island, so another boat would make sense. You might have been a member of the ship's crew on our boat, or you might have been one of Jask's guards (might not fit the character though).
Could be you and 5 are captives, or we find your camp where you are currently battling off some of the cannibals or other such island pests.
Could be you pissed off some mighty water spirit and were trapped in a giant coconut for the past decade/century, and have only recently awoken and eaten your way out.
Perhaps you were plundering the collection of a potent wizard. You were distracted by your partner succumbing to a sneezing fit and you were both then hit by a teleportaion effect shunting you to this wayward island.
Anyway we spin it, I am excited that this game will coming to life again soon!

Side note, Slashing Grace is making me cranky. Technically it only lets you choose a one handed weapon, so light weapons like the kukri are not options. Being able to use a light weapon would be nice as I could then take Piranha Strike and take my strength from a 13 to a 10. Upside of Slashing Grace over Dervish Dance is that you can two weapon fight with SG.
Fancy new feats aside, the character is functional as is, poking at it isn't needed.
I know how you feel, I was all excited about Piranha Strike + Slashing Grace on a Wakizashi for a Magus / Swashbuckler / Daring Champion Cavalier / Ninja but apparently it doesn't work. I read somewhere that Martial Versatility (I think thats the feat name?) can apply Slashing Grace / Piranha Strike to a Wakizashi but I don't know how "legit" that trick was.
Silver Lining: In the long, long, long future, if this GM wants to take this game mythic, then Power Attack is better anyway due to it getting a Mythic Upgrade.

Its prolly going to be Errata'd eventually, since by all accounts, its weird it doesn't work with them. You just cannot use the combo until its been fixed.

I played a mythic homebrew with some friends. I played a character that was the daughter of Calistria and you wouldn't believe the things she did to garner favour :/

We are what we eat, and they are my kind of meat. I have begun to think of this campaign like a snow globe. You can stir it up and it will begin to look all shiny and pretty again, but once the bits settle out it is just some people frozen in place, throwing spears and spitting magic.
Not exactly a bad thing, as I am still excited for the game even though it has been over two months since our last gameplay post, just a curious thing.
RVT started another campaign, so I gotta assume that she's having technical issues.
Or rather, she started another campaign concurrently, so I'm not doubting her commitment to Sparkle Skull.
I think she found another group that she loves more.

RVT hasn't posted in her other game, a Carrion Crown one, and that one just started. I'm gonna stick with 'technical difficulties'.
However, to whet my appetite, I'm starting up some PFS jive...ginga, I believe we're gonna be on a team elsewhere. Cuz--this campaign will revive (please, please oh please, Sarenrae and Desna and Shimye-Magalla), but others I'm in are just moribund.

I've only done one scenario. From what I can tell, they are quick and not super hard. The scenarios, that is. The modules...well, that can be harder. We shall see!

Ugh, I don't want to be "that guy", but is it worth looking for a GM again. I usually wouldn't mind waiting, but we just have no idea when/if RVT is coming back, so I don't know what to do :(
I could go either way, seeing as how I'm going to start multiple PFS games. The two ways, I mean, are wait longer, then recruit, or recruit right now.
I'm inclined to suggest that if she hasn't arrived by this wednesday (in my timezone), we should potentially start recruiting. It would make it a month since she last posted, and I think that's time enough to give a GM that utterly vanishes.
Looks like we've been abandoned for a second time. We're never getting off this island.
