Tural could go either way, as we well know. ;)

Hey y'all! I'm just letting everyone know this but something is up with my laptop's wifi so I can't get online as much until I can fix it. Might take me awhile. So please go ahead and bot me. Sorry about all of this!

Meghan Goldknickers |

Alright everyone. I got my wifi issues taken care of.
Can someone give me a quick update on what has happened, and I'll try and get a post up ASAP!
Thank you for y'all's patience!
After the fight with Crone and the two male looters, the party moved to Lymas Smeed's place, where the moneylender told them he didn't appreciate Saul Vancaskerkin's thugs coming to threaten him. Meghan found Larur's bloodstained cloak with a hole in it in an alley outside the place. Rather than bust in, the group went to the guard station to check on the three prisoners. After a runaround, we learned that the two men were being treated for their wounds and Crone was going to be committed to an asylum.
I think the general impression is that someone (Clegg Zincher?) set Smeed up as a fall guy for Larur's disappearance and the loss of Saul's payment to the moneylender. We're supposed to be able to question the male captives the following morning.

Okay...
I've noticed for the last month (approximately 30 days) I have only had two active players. The last time I noticed this, I asked for if the folks weren't posting were still interested, and they seemed to be, but here we are.
Is there some reason why folks are deciding not to post in? Have I been ghosted or is the game just not interesting or what you thought it was going to be?

Tural Imoroa |

I'm just unsure how to proceed. Still interested in the game, it's just... I don't know where to go from here. I don't even have any ideas to use as an example.

Taton |

I've voiced my thought processes but we haven't come to a consensus of how to proceed. I'm not looking for rails but we seem to be flapping in the wind.

Meghan Goldknickers |

I'm hoping the slowdown's just an instance of no clear decision/path to move things along happening at the same time as Ryssa's Wi-Fi troubles. Elea seems to be gone, though.
Also, I'll admit to being a bit underwhelmed at Meghan's Street Performer bard archetype, as I've been able to use disappearing act a grand total of zero times so far. Maybe she can use it on Taton going forward.

DM Default |

Do you think I should run another recruitment for one more player? Glad Taton's still around and I know Ryssa is interested if her Wi-fi stops spatting out.
Taton, I would prefer if you did post at least once a week, even if you don't think you're contributing. Gives the other players something to go off.

Meghan Goldknickers |

Sure. Five seems to be the optimal number of players for a PbP game.

DM Default |

Alright folks, you've leveled up!
Please post the main changes and additions of your characters here.

Tural Imoroa |

Increased HP by 3, BAB, will saves, 1st level spells/day, arcane reservoir (daily and maximum) by 1, and put a rank into diplomacy, K (arcana, local, planes, religion), spellcraft, craft (alchemy), and linguistics (learning Undercommon).

Taton |

How do I have "The" in my name? Ah, in the recruitment post. I was very confused, as only Ryssa has the in her name.
Thanks for disallowing the combat stamina, you are right that would rather neuter me. And as tracking and combat are basically my only true strengths, I'd like to keep that.

Tural Imoroa |

It was from the new recruitment thread- everyone else was listed as having 'the' in their name somewhere.

Meghan Goldknickers |

Having some laptop issues, so my posting may be a bit spotty in the near future.
Meghan's almost updated for 2nd level; let me roll for hps.
Meghan's Level 2 hps: 1d8 ⇒ 4

I'm still here. Sorry y'all I've been absent (again! Man, I'm getting tired of this!), but I got swamped at work, plus on top of yardwork, my dad's asthma acting up (really badly I'm afraid), and looking for another job, I've been very very busy! I apologize for being absent and not giving a heads up. I hope y'all can forgive me.
I'll try and get a update on my character ASAP!

Meghan Goldknickers |

My laptop's working today but I hit a snag in updating Meghan.
I'm questioning whether the bonuses she gains for her Streetwise ability apply to the skill checks she can now, courtesy of Versatile Performance, use Perform (Act) in the place of (Bluff and Disguise).
Versatile Performance (Ex): At 2nd level, a bard can choose one type of Perform skill. He can use his bonus in that skill in place of his bonus in associated skills. When substituting in this way, the bard uses his total Perform skill bonus, including class skill bonus, in place of its
associated skill’s bonus, whether or not he has ranks in that skill or if it is a class skill. At 6th level, and every 4 levels thereafter, the bard can select an additional type of Perform to substitute.
The types of Perform and their associated skills are: Act (Bluff, Disguise)....
Streetwise
A street performer gains a bonus equal to half his level on Bluff, Disguise, Knowledge (local), and Sleight of Hand checks, Diplomacy or Intimidate checks made to influence crowds, and Diplomacy checks to gather information (minimum +1).
This replaces bardic knowledge.
Found this opinion on the internet that supports my belief that the Streetwise bonus would stack.
Streetwise is an untyped bonus to the check, not the skill, so the bonuses stack.
Also, not having it stack would make the Street Performer an even suckier archetype than it already is, IMHO. ;)

Okee-doke folks, posting a message to the recruitment thread soon so we should have our new folks in a bit. When we get the situated with the situation, we'll forge ahead.

Amboy Yacolt |

Amboy is here. Sorry for the delay. Dog sitting at my brothers house and he won't let me touch his computer.
I will try to catch up on the story so we can keep things flowing. Is there anything I need to update?

DM Default |

You should be at level 2, also, you should update your tagline.
For now, newcomers will have the average cash of a level 1 player.
I'll allow crafters to have stuff premade, but it has to be reasonable.

"And why did you not go and ask for his side of the story? I mean is he an ally, or someone trying to whet his beard?"
Whose side of the story? Larur's? I'm a bit confused.

DM Default |

So I may have not realized that there was a non-violent option and spent a few days creating map that neither second darkness game will use T.T

Meghan Goldknickers |

Heh, I was expecting a free-for-all myself but am too weak to start it so I went the diplomatic route.

Tural Imoroa |

I figured I shouldn't always force everyone into a fight like I did last time. Plus, not everyone was within a 15ft cone of me.

Meghan Goldknickers |

I'll be without internet access for the next couple of days, so bot my character as needed. Will be back online Tuesday.
Happy Labor Day weekend to my fellow U.S. players.

DM Default |

Oh my goodness, I completely dropped the ball here. Adding the character pics to the map now. Completely slipped my mind that I was going to do that the morning after.

Meghan Goldknickers |

I'll be without internet access for the next few days (though it's possible I'll check in briefly Saturday). Please bot my PC as needed in my absence; I should be back on Tuesday.

Ryssa the Cleric of Calistria |

I'll post as well, but the combat map won't open for me. :(
Is anyone injured? I can heal y'all up if need be. I just need to know where I am.
