She grunts as Kalt lands another arrow, growling in frustration that she cannot go on the offensive if she has to keep healing herself.

Sven can tell that with his limited healing skill, there is no possible way for him to mend his own eye damage.

Since I can see how this is going to play out, outside of extremely lopsided rolling.

The party continues to send arrow and bolt upward at the cleric, who tries desperately to keep healing, but eventually she runs out of spells and her wounds send her into an eternal sleep. Any attempts at discussion are met with a hiss of anger that clearly shows the womans hatred of the group, and refusal to surrender.

Lana is able to eventually mend Sven and Avora's eyes enough to allow them a bit of sight, and if they are willing to wait a bit longer, it will return fully.

When the bird-woman drops to the floor, riddled with Kalt's arrows and numerous other missiles, she comes crashing down quite close to Kalt, given his position almost directly below her. If she was still breathing when she fell, she almost certainly isn't when she hits the floor. Kalt kneels down by her body and searches her carefully.

Sven breathes a sigh of relief when the flying woman finally plummets to the ground and Lana clears his bloody vision enough to see somewhat.

"Who was that woman and why did she hate us so much?" the big ulfen asks with a sad shake of his head as he studies her. "Another witch?"

After the party's patched up, Sven joins Kalt in searching the woman's remains for anything of use. "What did ya find?"


As the temporary enchantments slowly vanish, the group finds nothing of a magical nature. Looking with an appraising eye, the short spear seems of nice quality and a familiar looking pendent of star shaped ice diamond looks to be worth a few gold pieces.

MWK short speak, and necklace worth 500 gp. The necklace is also what "Argentea" used to go up the unresponsive transporter.

Looking around, there are two doors out of this crescent shaped room.

Kalt listens at the door and hears nothing. After examination, the door is locked, but after a few minutes, Bugsby is able to jimmy the latch and open the door. Dozens of stacked crates fill this angular storeroom. Several miniature doll houses stand atop high shelves 10' up.

Kalt shakes his head sadly, saying, "I was thinking the same, Ankih. A dark feeling indeed."

Looking up high, he says, "Let's look around for some way to get up and see those dollhouses, though I hate to imagine what horror the witches have been up to with them."

If there isn't a ladder or a piece of tall furniture he can move near the shelves, Kalt will climb them.

Kalt adjusts some of the crates and barrels and gains enough elevation to see into the various doll houses. What is immediately apparent is these houses looked lived in, and fairly recently. Tiny cloths are strewn about the inside, and there is even a small workshop with tiny shafts and minature fletchings on the table. As he looks them over, he finds that there are areas of the doll houses he cannot see into without pulling each house down.

Kalt describes what he sees, then says, "I'd like to take a closer look, but whatever lives here might not take kindly to me wrecking their houses. I think I'll leave 'em alone."

He climbs back down and says, "Ready to move on?"

Sven nods in agreement and ushers the others out while giving the dollhouses one last look. "Let's check the other room."


Continuing with their now standard look and listen practice, the group find the door silent and unlocked. Two bookshelves, a chest, and a comfortable-looking bed heaped with thick blankets furnish this bedroom. A mobile of ice crystals carved to resemble birds hangs from the ceiling, glinting in the light from the frost covered windows. Surprisingly, no mirrors are seen in the room.

A good question. You said it would be several hours - it seems to be worth it, so we don't have several party members nearly blind when we fight the tougher fights. And they'll just be sitting there, getting more and more nervous when we don't show up, and they'll be easy pickings when we actually go after them. Or something like that.

The group returns to the second floor and makes their way to the previously unresponsive teleportation area. Knowing they only have one shot at it, they all squeeze into the teleportation area, though there are a few hands and knees in awkward places, especially for Bugsby. With a pulse of magic, the party is whisked away to a large and intricate room. A translucent image of a globe hangs suspended in midair, slowly rotating in place above a summoning circle in the blue tiled floor. Lines of arcane energy glow across the globes surface, faintly humming with power as they connect end points in a radiant glow bright enough to illuminate the domed ceiling overhead. Many tables and shelves covered in books, maps, and large scrolls line the rooms circular walls, and a large, ornate mirror between two open windows to the west. Twin ice sculptures of demonic fiends flank a bubbling cauldron in an archway leading into a deep alcove in the southern wall.

A tall dark haired man stands on the opposite side of the summoning circle. Dressed in deep blue robes and furs of a white wolf, he looks over the group, face full of malice. "I assume, based on your presence that Jairess is dead? Pity. It took you longer than I expected to reach me, and I was forced to amuse myself in other ways..." With a motion of his hand, a small doll creaks into motion. As it moves into the light, their is a collective intake of breath, as the features of the doll remind many of a Tiefling they left to harass the tower nearly a month prior. "As you can see, I needed to refresh some of my minions after he killed most of them, a most troublesome man. I do hope he causes you the same problems he called me."

Radosek begins to chant in arcane language, words that seem to resonate through the hall, but there is no immediate effect.

Avora and Lana are staggered, all 4 take 9 cold damage. All 4 need to make an additional Fort save at the start of their turn or take 1d6 cold damage, you guys can roll that on your turns, it'll be easier.
