Congrats! You have finished book 1!
There are a few more rooms (as you can see from the map), but without much better perception, you aren't going to find them. DC 25 seems to be the goal, and I suspect perhaps higher in the next book.
So, at this point, I think the group is good to head back to Sandpoint, be heroes for a while, and level up to Level 4. (Then if you want to come back and try again, you can...)
If you all want to do any selling, buying, crafting, etc. now is a great time to do it.
Now, given all of that, you are ready for book 2. However, I have to tell you that I am fairly overloaded at this point, and it looks to continue until at least end of May. I am happy to continue at the slow, sporadic pace we currently have, but if you want to shop for a new GM that can pick up the pace, I would be happy to turn it over. It is up to you - feel free to discuss here. I wish I could promise more, but just can't right now.
As a heads up while you level, the next book is going to take you to Magnimar - a large city compared to Sandpoint.

I can reach 29. 31 if it’s stonework.

I'm fine with the pace. Also, I'm going to be packing/traveling Thursday-Monday this week, so I may not get a chance to post.

Random off topic gaming geek thing: So, if you've never watched "The Expanse," you're missing out. First of all, it's excellent Sci Fi, and as my pedigree for watching Sci Fi goes back to watching Star Wars on screen in 1977, I've watched some good (and terrible) Sci Fi. Ok, so the TV series (3 seasons so far, and season 4 is coming) is based on a series of books. Naturally there are differences between the shows and the books, these things happen.
Ok, here's the gamer geek part! What a lot of people don't realize, is that the books are based on the authors' home Sci Fi RPG. So, it's a little funny that a home RPG game turned into a series of books, and then a TV series, and then an actual RPG. Oh, and I've RPG'd since 1978, so I've been around that block too.
Now the really funny part, to me at least. While reading book 3, there's a scene where the characters, whom I view as "the PCs" are about to go into the final fight against the BBEG and the minions, etc. One of the PCs turns to the other (in the book, but I don't think I recall it from the show) and asks, "so if you die, can I have your stuff?" I nearly spit out my drink at that point. How many times have I heard that line, and ones nearly identical to it come out at a gaming table? And to have it copied right from, I'm sure, their gaming table into the book was priceless.
Anyways, enough off-topic geek speak from me!
Apologies to anyone in multiple games with me that is forced to see this twice!

Aurora Warin |

A slow pace has never bothered me and I rather like your GMing style.
And I will have to look for those books

GM Fuzzfoot |

OK, so who is ready to start book 2?
Let's start with some paperwork.
First, you should now be level 4. And, as I just realized, you should actually be close to level 5! The book is broken into 7 chapters, and we will do chapter 1 as 4th, then 5th for the next 3, and 6th for the final 3. So it might seem a bit uneven, but I suspect no one will mind much.
Loot: Take a look at the loot sheet, and put your name in the Carried By column on anything you would like to claim. Feel free to discuss here, but I think it is fastest to put your name on anything you want, and then let the next person that wants it to start a discussion. Once we have everything claimed, I will sell off for you the rest at 1/2 value, and then we will see where each of you is at. You should be close to 6000 gp value.
Also, now is a good time to buy stuff. The town is limited, but anything you get is 10% less here. You may also use any crafting feats you have (now or you acquire at level 4), so let me know what you need.
Once everyone checks in with level 4 character, we can start the next book.
Feel free to post questions here or PM as you prefer.

Updated to level 4. Notable updates:
New hex: Ward
New spells known:
- Aid (Patron)
- Blindness/Deafness
- Fear the Sun
- Hex Vulnerability (favored class bonus)
Unless people want me to carry a scroll or a wand of some sort, none of the loot appeals to me.
If we're supposed to have roughly 6k gold of stuff each, I'd be interested in buying some things, but I'll wait to see how our exact money works out. Also, I just realized that according to that sheet I have a cloak of resistance that I'm now wondering when I picked up because it's definitely not included on my character sheet at all, haha.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Also, Rene, you have a Loot link in your status bar - I assume this was the original before I took over, but it might be confusing to have mutliple. Can you validate that this is no longer needed and remove?
For those that may not see the loot sheet in my status, it is the linked "$" after the RotRRed link.

René Treize |

Didn't do an exact comparison of my sheet vs the DM's, but it looks like the major magic items are all there. Though we also have 442 gold 3 silver and 2 copper that we apparently never split up.
I've also assigned the scrolls/wands to the following people (based on spell lists)
Scroll of comprehend languages: Aurora (Cordwin, Skarn, or me would also work)
scroll of see invisibility: Cordwin (me or Skarn would also work)
scroll of whispering wind: Skarn (Cordwin would also work)
Wand of Bless - 8 charges: Me (Aurora or Skarn would also work)
Unclaimed (unless someone with UMD wants them? I only have +4)
Wand of Magic Missile (38 charges) (bloodrager, magus, psychic, sorcerer/wizard)
Wand of produce flame (34 charges) (druid, shaman)
Wand of shield (9 charges) (alchemist, bloodrager, magus, psychic, sorcerer/wizard, summoner)
Wand of tree shape (4 charges) (druid, ranger, shaman)

GM Fuzzfoot |

No hurry, Tyler.
I added the coins and resorted. Still a few +1 items and potions unclaimed if anyone wants them.
If I don't hear anyone speak out today, then I'll sell everything else off in the morning so you can go shopping.

Aurora Warin |

I am gonna vote we keep any of the potions. Of which it says we have among the unclaimed
Barkskin +2 Is that two of them or something else?
3 CLW
2 CMW
I am sure the silver and gold dust is for some spell or another.
Beyond that I have nothing I want

Aurora Warin |

I have no UMD so not goals towards the scrolls.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Actually, the silver and gold dust was for making special glass in the glass factory. Also, that I will sell at full value, so no harm in selling it and buying back later.
For barkskin, I think that meant that the potion gave you +2 natural AC. I don't know why it was listed that way, as that is the norm.
We can also claim things as Party if you don't want to identify it with a particular person, although someone should be designated as the carrier - you know, in case they fall in a pit or something.

René Treize |

René already has a potion of CLW. Any non-melee people should probably make sure they have a potion of healing of some sort as well, and then the melee folk should divvy up the rest of the potions.

Aurora Warin |

Do we roll HP? I forget. So many people do HP differently and I cannot keep everything straight.

GM Fuzzfoot |

You can choose for yourself - roll or take the average +1. Personally, I rarely choose to roll. But once you choose, you should stick with the same approach for every level.
OK, I sold off your gear, and there is 8172 gold to divide. If you divide evenly, that's 1634 each. But you can divide as you wish.

Tylur Thorn |

I have a short sword +1 and the bastard sword +1. Can we sell the short sword +1 and add the funds to the pool.
I'd opt to divide the sum evenly. I can also donate some of my funds to make up for the difference to get Skarn's pick enchanted

GM Fuzzfoot |

Tyler - both the short sword and bastard sword were sold because I didn't see a name next to them. When you say you "have" them, was that on the loot list or just on your sheet?

Aurora Warin |

I will take the average then cause the dice hate me
So sorry it took me so long!
HP is +6
level 4 ability bonus is gonna go into str
Bab is now +3 so the CMB and CMD are gonna go up
background skill is going into appraise and History
Skill ranks going into Diplomacy, Perception, Spellcraft, Religion, Planes, Nature, Survival
Gain second level spells
Picking Hold Person and gaining Cure Moderate WoundsMystery spell is lesser restoration
Favored class bonus is an extra spells, currently first level =Deathwatch
Saves +1 to will

GM Fuzzfoot |

It was - I updated the sheet. Now there is 6300 to divide. 1260 each.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Technically, you can't make a non-masterwork weapon masterwork.. but I will gloss over that.
And they don't make this stuff cheap - you need a master crasftsperson!
However, as heroes of Sandpoint, you get a 10% discount on all goods, so that should help a bit.

Skarn Hornfels |

Well, you can, but it takes a spell, Wizards, or Clerics could do it for 300gp. Useful for an heirloom weapon.
For a non-heirloom weapon, I'm not worried about the cost of selling an 8gp item for 4gp, and then buying a 308gp item, and getting it magicked to a 2308gp item. The difference is 4gp.
10% off on magic items?
So, sell for 4gp. A 2308gp item for 2077.2gp then? So the difference is 2073.2gp.

GM Fuzzfoot |

Sounds good. Sheet updated to give you a +1 pick.

René Treize |

As much as I love discounts, there isn't really anything I want to buy just yet, so I'll just hold onto my portion of the cash.

Aurora Warin |

I can do 500 so you still have a some and can start setting back for your own.

Cordwin Ironbeard |

Bard (Archaeologist 4)
+1 BAB
+5HP (1/2 of 1d8+1)
+1 Reflex
+1 CMB
+1CMD
1 2nd Level
Cure Moderate Wounds-This spell functions like cure light wounds, except that it cures 2d8 points of damage + 1 point per caster level (maximum +10).
Rogue Talent: Green Tongue (Giant) Gain Aklo, Aquan, Auran, Giant, Ignan, Sylvan, or Terran as a bonus language and can attempt a DC 15 Linguistics check to communicate with magical beasts and monstrous humanoids with which you do not share a common language.
Skills:
+1 Linguistics (Abyssal)
+1 Perception
+1 Diplomacy
+1 Disable Device
+1 Knowledge (Nobility)
+1 Knowledge (Planes)
+1 Knowledge (Religion)
+1 Knowledge (Arcana)
Favored Class:Bonus Skill Point: Use Magic Device

Aurora Warin |

I thought no one was posting but somehow I was not getting the notifications. Curses! I appear to have a bit of catching up to do. So sorry!

Aurora Warin |

My family and I am having some issues. I am not in a good headspace because of it as I am questioning our relationship. I do not know how reliable I will be posting so please bot me if I am lagging behind.

René Treize |

Sorry to hear that! I hope it all works out!
Unrelated, I'm going to be traveling for work this upcoming Monday evening through Wednesday. There's a pretty good chance I won't have time to post during that time, so bot me as necessary.
