"A prudent suggestion, Silas."
"I may be able to manage to help with that before my sight is restored. You'll just have to point me in the right direction." Leialoha will help with burning the bodies and then withdraw with everyone else to rest.

I will GMNPC Beth to pray for a Remove Blindness (Hopefully she will be back soon!). The party rests and Beth casts on Leialoah restoring his sight.

Beth discovers a book trigger for a revolving door on the west wall. The floor around the bookshelf on that wall rotates 180-degrees. Beth steps of so that she is not moved on the other side. After a full rotation, a sarcophagus replaces the secret bookshelf.
"Well that is an interesting find. More undead or a strangely hidden crypt?" Leialoha helps to check the sarcophagus for traps.

Leialoha does not find any traps, but it does have a heavy lid DC 20 Str check to remove.

Once everyone is ready Oro-Tu will move the lid aside. I can roll but since no combat can we just have me take 20 so I don't need to reroll a bunch? Only got a +4 str adjustment vs 20
Oro-Tu grabs the lid when all are ready, flexes a few times to warm up, and heaves it out of the way.

"It looks like a vampire. Quite aged at that. I would not recommend pulling that stake out. It may be best to behead and burn it, but I'm no expert in such things." Wexley warns, his hand idly drifting towards his pistol grip.
Knowledge (religion) to see if Leialoha can offer any additional advice on destroying the creature: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map
Reducing a vampire's hit points to 0 or lower incapacitates it but doesn't always destroy it (see fast healing). However, certain attacks can slay vampires. Exposing any vampire to direct sunlight staggers it on the first round of exposure and destroys it utterly on the second consecutive round of exposure if it does not escape. Each round of immersion in running water inflicts damage on a vampire equal to one-third of its maximum hit points—a vampire reduced to 0 hit points in this manner is destroyed. Driving a wooden stake through a helpless vampire's heart instantly slays it (this is a full-round action). However, it returns to life if the stake is removed, unless the head is also severed and anointed with holy water.
"Yous all git lost 'n here? My, my I see my wee lambs are a bit 'urt and tem bein' without their sheppard. Lemme see wut Lester kin do fer ya!

"Got any holy water Lester? From what I recall of vampires, we can remove its head and bath it in holy water and that will do it. Otherwise, we can try dragging this body back up and drop it in a river or expose him to the sun."

I will give him a vial, especially under the circumstances.

"I think I have what you're looking for." says a strong, resonating voice from near captain Lester. Yet where there ought to be a man of great stature, there appeared to be none. Instead there was only half a man, perhaps a bit less, much like Lester himself. His words issue in a clear and carrying tone as he speaks, "The good captain here seems to have forgotten himself. Wexley, someone has sent for you. She says you 'have history' and that you'll know what she means. Lester will take you back."

Wexley looks a bit flustered at the intrusion of the halfling, then goes flush at the mention of the woman. "Well, yes, this sounds important. I'm sorry gentlemen, and Silas, but I'll return to you when I can. Carry on the good work." he nearly trips over himself following Lester.
Leialoha scowls at the newcomer, "Hmmf. Half a man in return for a man. Not a very fair exchange. Who are you?"
Male
Lyst watches them depart and then turns to Leialoha. "Holy water is it? Yes, I've a few such. I am Miram Lyst, speaker for our great god Thyr. I will remain here to help you dispose of these abominations." the halfling declares authoritatively.
"Say native, is something wrong? Look a man in the eyes when he speaks." Aren't you still blind? How would you know I'm a halfling?

I think we were presuming Beth would do the remove blindness on a DMNPC status as her last act for now.

You hear noises from the chamber to the east:
Corpses litter the floor of this large chamber,
piled three deep in some places. The smell of
decay is rank about the room. Shallow puddles of
a translucent viscous fluid seep between the bodies.
Passageways exit to the north and west.
Leialoha glowers over the newcomer, "Time to prove your worth Lyst. You've got holy water. We've got a vampire. Remove its head and bath it. Mind you don't remove the stake."
Or are we assuming we've already put it to permanent rest? If so...
Leialoha nods to the east and whispers, "Noises there? Better see what that's about before continuing."

You have the holy water, but have yet to do anything with the body as of yet.
"Natalie? Perhaps with your sword? It seems especially sharp."
Male
"Aye, Thyr prevents me from carrying such things. I can anoint this creature, but you all best behead it yourselves." Lyst agrees.

Natalie hefts her greatsword and approaches the body. She lines up herself with the head as an executioner readying the great hunk of metal. "I'm ready. Just tell me when." She beheads the creature when given the go ahead.

"Just seems odd that given all the other undead in here this one was never found. But I know little of these things."
"Have to agree about that, but I don't like the idea of leaving it behind us either. If someone removed that stake, we'd be facing an old vampire."
Male
"I am ready, miss. I don't expect any surprises from this business." Lyst declares as he holds forth a vial of holy water and begins praying to Thyr.
