As your racer crashes into the side of a pile of junk and comes to a screeching halt your are passed left and right by almost all the racers with the Lashunta pulling up next to your racer. Ratrod and the android seem to be getting used to being hit as it doesn't seem to effect their steering at all.

Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"That dirty rat!" The Prof exclaims as Ratrod's attack sparks a veritable barrage against Laboni's racer. "Reminds me of a troublesome student of mine I had once." He presses rather enthusiastically on the fire button once more. "I would have loved to have been able to have done this to that little brat back then as well..."
Kinetic Attack v. Ratrod: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 - 3 = 8

Chirrk hands the controller back to Onda and says, "Here, Onda. It is your turn again. Aim well!"

Onda; Not sure why you rolled a stealth check..i'll just use your die roll for a to hit vs Lemgem..since I assume you don't want to shoot Ratrod with an energy weapon
Lenik fires his gun at Ratrod's racer but misses as his target swirves out of the way
After Chirkk hands the controls back to Onda he fires an energy beam at Lemgem's racer and manages to just clip it's tail end
Ratrod makes a full turn and aims his guns past some other racers, just to try to get back at you for having the audacity for firing on him.
Ratrod vs EAC: 1d20 + 8 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 3 = 6

Onda's sneaking away from Chirrk before he can be offered the controller since I assumed with a piloting result of -6ish that the drone is a smoking pile of smoking piles, and Onda would prefer not to have his name attached to utter disaster--even though his name basically means the same thing.

The android has to swerve around a big pile of rubble and also looses a bit of speed, but the other 3 racers continue onwards at top speeds, Lemgem once again kicking some extra speed out of her racer and even taking the lead this round

Chirrk Do'Tak |
Chirrk looks around, and seeing no Onda, keeps the controls and makes a quick shot. (To account for the last round)
With the race nearing its end, the kasatha aims for the leader to try and slow her down. He knows better than to aim for Ratrod, who is really the only one they need to beat, because of his energy absorption capabilities...

"Oh, I daresay this is going to be close." The Prof muses as he surveys the field. "Quite possibly any one of...well perhaps more likely only 4 out of 6, or two thirds if you prefer, or even 0.66 repeater, or if you would rather the...oh yes, now who to attack?"
Lenik considers the various permutations and combinations of what might be the best target and then decides to line up a shot on the annoying Ratrod again.

Shooting phase round 7
Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"Well, this is rather exciting isn't it!" The Prof exclaims as he can't help but get caught up in the atmosphere of the crowd. "Go Laboni! Go Laboni! Oh, won't somebody deal with that sneaky Ratrod. Why isn't anyone shooting him? Somebody shoot...oh, that's up to me isn't it?"
Fumbling around with the weapon controller, Prof. Fleest aims the kinetic weapon at Ratrod one last time and presses the fire button.

The Android having seen what energy weapons do against Ratrod fires his gun at the Ryphorian while everyone else fires at Ratrod's vehicle.
The ryphorian take a hit to his shields and Ratrod is hit twice as he takes blows against his outer armor.

Last round of racing; this is for all the marbles
Vargouzal |
Keep a tight grip on the controls Vargouzal focuses deeply upon the small racer and a snarl revealing the fangs in his mouth.
"Just need the fates on our side to lean on Ratrod..." He mutters as he guns the engine to the maximum heading down the track to pass the slower vehicles.

Laboni wins the race, and she apologizes to Ratrod for her previous statements. The ysoki’s pride still hurts, but the gesture compels the Salvage Union to offer Laboni some extra payment in the form of collected gear, on top of the race’s prize money.
In turn, Laboni presents you with a set of graphite carbon skin armor and 400 credits from the race’s prize pool as a thank you for helping her.
"I knew I would be this good at this! I will now become a regular racer!"
Vargouzal |
Standing and stretching after being hunched over the controls for what felt like a week Vargouzal nods. "I wish you luck little racer. Just remember the Starfinders when you think of your friends."
Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"Well done! Yes, well done indeed!" The Prof jumps up and down in delight as they manage to guide and shoot Laboni's racer to a thrilling victory. "What a splendid team effort. It just proves once again that the sum of the parts are greater than the individual...er, that's not to say that the individuals in this instance are...what I mean to say is that a champion team is better than a team of...ah, that is to say, well done! Yes, just simply well done!"
Lola "Gravelight" |
Lola eyes Laboni suspiciously. 'You might want to sleep on the matter...at least a few nights...maybe more. Ahem...," Lola turns to her teammates, "Well, I hope my cheering helped, at least a little bit."
Vargouzal |
Vargouzal thanks Radaszam for the opportunity to help both of them before suggesting to the group after they leave. "Well, the Dataphiles and Historia-7 are next on the list. Should we continue in the logical order?" he says with a satisfied rumble deep in his chest still happy over the outcome of the race.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
Dataphiles;
The Lorespire Complex, home and heart of the Starfinder Society, is a striking campus dedicated to knowledge. Communal labs and historical departments study the Archives’ massive collection of artifacts and texts, gathered by generations of agents from across the galaxy. A quick search of the directory indicates Historia-7 frequents the Archives’ Cortex, a computerized matrix containing digital records of the Starfinder Society’s most prominent discoveries.
The android reclines on a raised chair and is plugged into the local infosphere when the doors open. The neural cables detach themselves from her neck as she swivels in her seat to address the new arrivals.
“Greetings, Starfinders,” she says calmly. “I am Historia-7. If you are seeking a mission from me, please be aware that my request requires both discretion and speed. Do not accept it if you feel incapable of working within these parameters.
“I discovered someone recently hacked into Bluerise Tower’s computer systems and stole a large amount of sensitive data from the resident corporations. I wish to be privy to this information. I managed to trace the hacker’s location through many proxies and erased the trail so that station and corporate security should be delayed in their pursuit. This deception will not fool them for long, so you must move quickly to retrieve the data before they can recover it. I will leave you to decide what to do with the hacker afterward, but should it be feasible, I believe that person would be an asset to the Society.”
Vargouzal |
Nodding Vargouzal asks bluntly. "In the interest of speed please gives us your datadump on on this case and comm address. The hackers location, defenses and resources you know. We will leave and start our trip while we can ask further questions on comms, or would this insufficiently secure?"
Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"Discretion? Speed? These are not parameters as such, but more...ah, variables of interest, shall we say? Variables to which a parameter, that is to say a numerical or other measurable factor might be applied." The Prof rattles on to no-one in particular, trusting that Vargouzal and the others are taking notes as to the more mundane details of their next mission. "One could be said to have both discretion and speed as long as one was not completely without one or the other, even if the parameter of one's actual..." He stops a moment to pick up the end of the android's instructions. "Ah, well yes, I suppose your requirements are for a somewhat more well developed capability in your particular variables of...ah, personal interest."
Lola "Gravelight" |
Lola listens to the android explaining the mission, then nods. "When more than one corporation is involved, things can get dicey pretty quick. Better to resolve the situation before the corporations' goons arrive. Can you establish a secure com connection as my fellow starfinder suggested?
Revvy Bitterleaf |
You receive an encrypted data package with all the information available after typing in your password you see that it contains:
Information on Bluerise Tower, a private office structure maintained by multiple corporations and legally protected to the point that even the station’s Stewards have difficulty entering. Why these corporations need such absolute sovereignty over their own affairs is a question of great interest to many people, including Historia-7—the android explains she believes the companies know more than they let
on, and that the Society needs to stay informed in its vulnerable
state.
Historia-7 gives you the address to a flat in Drifter’s End, a district in the station’s Ring known for providing cheap housing to vagabonds of all sorts, which is most likely the location of the hacker. Information about defenses and resources are unknown.
"Communications should be secure, or at least as secure as I can get them. But if you want to be safe, stay cryptic during communication or only discus your finding in person"
Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"I suppose we better look for traps, or other forms of deterrents...or perhaps a, discrete as the android put it, way in?" The Prof suggests. "Of course my eyesight isn't what it used to be as a youth, which is to say it was never my strongest suit in the first place and perhaps not surprisingly hasn't improved much with age."
Onda Fritz |
"Vat!? You mean vee are doing zis!? I zought za Hysteria-7 said zomething about za 'discretion und speed'." Onda says.
He hunkers down in an alleyway connected to a couple of major thoroughfares and builds a little barricade out of trash and recycling bins.
"At least the neighborhood looks nice, ja? Still, you can never be to sure."
Then when he's ready he sands CRUD out to scout the area from above.
Revvy Bitterleaf |
You make your way to the coordinates provided to you and send up the drone for a scouting mission;
You see an apartment that resembles a cement cube, with several tomato plants in plastic barrels sitting on an otherwise barren porch. Boxes of nutrient broth, gardening tools, and various cultural knickknacks clutter the floor of the flat, leaving barely any room for visitors to sit down.
The plants are being hand-pollinated by a young man.
Vargouzal |
The large and heavily equipped vesk ponders. "Plants? I no nothing of such. I am no sneak and talking to people has always been hard. Do we just approach and see what we may get? Maybe a sneaky way in.."
He pulls up his wrist computer and starts a computer search of what he can find of the area that may allow them a more indirect approach to the location.

Oboyaza does a quick search and finds out that this is residential area for the ..not so quite wealthy. A lot of retired people life here. It does line up perfectly met the location of the hacker you received back at the Lorespire.
Lola takes a good look at the apartment complex and notices that there seems to be only the one entrance, leading into the building behind the front porch.
There seems to be no sneaky way in.
The young man doing the gardening looks up from his work to wipe some sweat from his brow and notices you standing around looking in his general direction and goes back to work.
Lenik 'The Prof' Fleest |
"Hmmm, I wonder if we have the right balance of our two variables?" The Prof ponders, seemingly at a bit of a loss as to the best course of action. "Perhaps too much discretion at the expense of our speed?"
Not prepared to be too hasty, however, Lenik readies himself to follow the more heavily armoured into the building.
Vargouzal |
Nodding and rumbling in assent to Lenik. "I think the Professor is right, we should just enter. I am ready. Chirrk should speak then?" Vargouzal asks. "I can go first. Got good armor. Not good speaking. Discretion..."
Lola "Gravelight" |
“Maybe we should just introduce ourselves. Looks harmless enough.“. Lola falls into line behind Vargouzal, using her battle staff as walking stick, just in case.
Vargouzal |
Seeing the agreement of his companions Vargouzal walks forward with confidence up to the dwelling like he belongs, gun still holstered on his back. "Greetings fellow being, we have some business to discuss. Should we take it inside?" He asks to the young man.
Lola "Gravelight" |
Lola tries to get a good read on the man before introductions are made.
