"Ja, you!"

Scarab Sages

Sorry for not explaining that part better; Only one PC has to succeed at a skill check for it to count as a success for each part

Working together as a well-oiled machine your group has no problems navigating through the tunnels and overcoming the troubles you encounter on your way.

After riding the quick currents, you are spit out of the tunnels into a vast liquid space: the interior of the moon.
You see the mausoleum in the distance, a structure covered in glowing purple runes.
You still have to swim for quite a while in this unusual liquid.

You must each succeed at a final DC 21 Athletics check to reach your destination, with a +1 bonus for each key point you successfully navigated (you succeeded on all 4, so that's a +4 bonus to your athletics check). A PC who fails the check becomes fatigued.

By the time he reaches the shore, the operative is badly fatigued after the numerous exertions he has endured, gasping for air and promising himself he'll hit the gym more frequently after this mission...

Blerg! My first two rolls on this board tonight have been a '2' and a '3'!

FATIGUED:

You can neither run nor charge, and you take a –1 penalty to your Armor Class, attack rolls, melee damage rolls, Reflex saving throws, initiative checks, and Strength– and Dexterity-based skill and ability checks. The amount of bulk you can carry without becoming encumbered is reduced by 1. If you are fatigued, doing an activity that would normally cause fatigue causes you to become exhausted instead. After 8 hours of complete rest, you are no longer fatigued.

Scarab Sages

As you look around, some of you with their hands on their knees panting for breath you see:

The mausoleum, a rough sandstone structure with 15-foot ceilings, floats in the center of the moon. The runes on the walls provide dim illumination in every room. This close to the moon’s core, the gravity stabilizes and is considered normal.

I've updated the map, you are on slide 9

Up ahead you see;
This room shows obvious signs of erosion. Strange semifluorescent plant life has started to grow along patches of the floor and on the walls. A large hole in the sandstone lies to the west, and shimmering inside the hole appears to be a force field made of purple runes. To the south, a set of rough sandstone steps lead to another force field, this one holding back the liquid methane.

You guys are in between the forcefields at the moment

Sandstone; DC 15 Culture or Physical Science check:
You know
that sandstone is not a type of stone native to this moon.

Perception DC 24 looking at the forcefield in front of you:
You have the feeling this might be a magical trap that will activate once you pass through it...if the moving runes that you can see out of the corner of your eye is any indication...

Mysticism to disrupt the runes

Scarab Sages

After Arratoi picks up a rock and tosses it through the forcefield it lands on the other side without any sort of effecting triggering that you notice..what ever it is..it doesn't seem to do anything to lifeless rocks being tossed around.

Sidor doesn't notice anything odd about the sandstone..other then that someone must have moved it to here for..decorative purposes?

Ah, OK. I'm with Af'val in another game, hence my confusion. Oops! In that case, please consider Arratoi's roll to be an attempt at disarming the trap.

Onda is right, you can't aid on this untrained

Arratoi tries to disrupt the runes floating around in the forcefield and doing his best he think he might have done something to them, but there is no visual clue that anything happend.

I didn't know this..but looking up disarming a device it says the GM rolls for your attempt in secret so you don't know if you succeed or not...but since you don't know the DC I'm fine with using your roll. All you know is you didn't blow it up by faling by more then 5

Arratoi looks at the rest of the party hoping for some affirmation but is (presumably) instead met with silence.

@Sthiele; In case it wasn't clear before - you've had a couple of days to recover your missing stamina on your trip here aboard the Lorekeeper. I don't think anyone (other then Sidor) took any damage since landing on this planet. Some of you just became fatigued, but that's it

Softly glowing purple runes cover the interior walls of the chamber, encircling a round altar covered in more runes in the center of the space. Out of shadow in front of the altar, a form slowly coalesces, taking the shape of an ebony dragon with red frills. Its body is terribly contorted and trails shadows.

He requested that we find several fragments of a tablet...which it only now occurs to me is made of similar stone as that of this place," he says, looking around the chamber thoughtfully.

"To be honest we don't know exactly why the tablet was to be brought here, only that it was important, so if you could provide further guidance, that would be greatly appreciated," Azara finishes.

This chamber has not escaped the ravages of time. There are holes in the walls that likely once held doors, and the sandstone tiles on the floor are dirty and broken in places.

With a voice like rocks scraping together, it speaks. “Who dares to break the sanctity of this holy resting place?”

The ebony dragon bows his head at your words

"So you are the Chosen Ones. The Ones mentioned in the prophecy. You are here to return the map to it's Destiny as it was Foretold in Ancient times."

"Please, approach and place the map on the altar"

The dragon indicates with one of it's claws

You can see that on the altar there are three slots, one for each part of the map.

DC 15 Mysticms = what is this dragon?:
You know that this guardian is a nightmare dragon, natural enemies to the Dreamers, and that something is not right about its claims to be a willing guardian

Random gm stuff:

DC 21 Sense motive:
You have the feeling something is iffy about him wanting you to place the map pieces on the altar
