By the way, although most Sylphs tend to be aloof and secretive, Saye is more timid and shy (if you haven't noticed) ... so if she doesn't speak much until she warms up to you...or doesn't warm up to your character at all, please don't be offended.
Now that I'm starting to understand her, I really wish I'd thrown points into perception and sense motive. It's going to be odd playing a shy people-watching puzzle solver who probably won't notice as much as she should :P Already looking at how to fix that with a free lvl-1 "retrain" after this campaign

Uri did mention that he was on a trip and might be unreliable. You might have to add his info and bot him until he's back.

I took care of it for him.

Just copy your profile picture and then paste it on the slides. You normally have to resize it afterwards.
Then you can just select it and move it around as needed.
I just made yours for you and it's on the slides, but you'll need to move it to where you want to be standing.

In the interest of moving along, I just updated the skill slide for Darnellius as well, and all 6 of us have tokens on the map. Uri/Tata/Akaash/Darnellius will have to move theirs though. No idea where they be standing.
Marching order might need to be updated too, if the GM uses it vs just using the tokens.

Thank you, Willow!

We seem to be moving along very slowly here. Where is everyone?

AFAIK the GM asked for updates to the map and slides before we can continue, and they were provided. @GM, are you waiting on us for anything?
"Willow" Saye

Since once they were updated, he started combat and we're waiting on people to take their turns. Some folks haven't posted anything in 4 days now and it's their turn in combat

Hi guys, I have to leave on an emergency vacation for two weeks so I will not be able to post starting Sep 29.
Sorry but that just came up a couple of hours ago.
I will probably be able to continue the games where I am only a player as I can use my mobile for short posts but GMing means I need my computer and thus I will continue this game only on Oct 15.

I'm okay with waiting. "Emergency vacation" sounds oddly ominous. Whatever's happening, I hope it turns out well.
"Willow" Saye
|
Agreed. No worries with the delay, I'm just hoping everything is ok.
I'd also vote for finishing this combat and then finding a good pausing point instead of going right up til the 29th. That gives you more time to prep for whatever's going on.
"Willow" Saye

It's ok. I always have to run and hide from swarms with my other characters, so getting to actually kill this one off with the acid flasks made me feel pretty damn good.
If they'd botted you with the wand I might not have had the chance :)

@GM Nowruz: The mysterious emergency vacation sounded kind of ominous. Can we assume since you're posting a lot more than expected that everything is going well and you're ok? Don't mean to pry but I was concerned for my online GM that I've never met.

I wish you luck sir, on your vacation.

Is Tata still here? It's been 4 days since last post.

Personally, I think kills can be really subjective. Since we were well aware that they were evil, destructive, and out to kill us and damage the Pathfinders' mission (based on the skill checks) AND they attacked us first...that it would not be evil to kill them normally. The issue is that they were helpless.
I think in that case it's primarily an issue on the law vs chaos matrix and secondly on the good vs evil based on the situation and the things known. Ridding the world of evil is a good action, but killing helpless people is against the law of the land.
It would fit in with a CG or CN character's morals quite well, and not too far from N. A NG character not quite as much, and it's definitely out of character for LN or LG.
Just my 2 cents, it's completely up to interpretation since alignment restrictions are so difficult to get everyone to agree on.
| Darnellius |
the way I look at it...they were set to kill us no questions asked...so leaving them tied up to potentially come at us again is a possibility...so ending the threat is a viabke option imho....plus i am CG if that helps

I am NG, but justify it by the fact that, as I said, these people are zealot worshippers of evil, and specifically assassination-style evil.
I attempted to speak to them at the outset, after all, and they didn't even say a word, not even to demand our surrender ... and though I suppose we did attack first, the brute targeted the guy who was talking before the one who had attacked, and none of the others reacted in ways that suggested they disagreed with it. That, coupled with the deity worship and the letter, make me feel certain that if they are released, it will not be too long before an innocent person dies at their hand. We could wake them up and interrogate them, but ultimately we would still have to figure out how to keep them from killing.

I agree it is not an act that likely solidifies my Good alignment, and if I did it regularly I would probably shift toward neutral. But I don't feel it is a fundamentally evil act, in this specific context.
"Willow" Saye
|
I even think the question of who attacked first is up in the air. It's true that a control spell was cast and a flask thrown before the brute floored Akaash, but I read
Elven archer and a human with a huge greatclub appearing ... both clearly aggressive and seeking a target
as the fact that they were attacking.
That doesn't justify the act by itself, but taken into account with the other facts helps support the decision.

I explained Uri's belief in the game play thread. Had the cleric become un-stuned and channeled it could have awoken the barbarian (Had anyone else thought of that tactic?). My clerics have multiple holy symbols and there are such things a holy symbol tattoos that cannot be removed. I might have been good trying to secure the sleeping barbarian, but that cleric had to be put down for everyone's safety. Besides we all know clerics are fanatics! :)
I was imagining a still blind cleric recovering from that color spray channeling to kill our wounded and awaken his barbarian. If still blind he could not have excluded any of his party. That would have been a bad scene all around.

No worries. I didn't think this one was too hard a call, but I've been in games where MUCH worse things happened (even to innocents) and no-one said a word. It's nice to have a GM that actually thinks about things like the morality of our actions.
The game I refer to there was a black and white, 100% sure, Paladin should fall situation and even the GM said nothing.
