Ok son. Irik is sure the mayor did not believe a single lie he told. If the man had some good will towards the group it was just wasted.
Otto's farm is just north of town, blue wood house, you can't miss it. But he probably is already asleep by now. You can talk to him tomorrow. The body is already consacrated by Iomedae and under the ground, no you can not violate it, lets stop this foolishness. Its time for me to go to bed to, my guards will see you out. Good night.
The party is escorted out of the house, its late in the night and the streets are empty. It looks like a good time to go to the tavern and secure some lodgings for the night.

As the party gathers in the tavern to spend the night, Antarah suggests the plan for the following day.
We have little time, but I believe we must establish if the sender of the original letter is trying to frame our fellows. I believe not and that someone didn't want the Pathfinders to complete their mission, which was to investigate the Sarkorian Site. If that is so, we must find out whatever it was they didn't want the group to uncover. Otherwise, I have no clue as to what motive there might be for the framing. Hatred towards the stable boy seems unlikely. Finding out something significant will shed light on our path.
Clearly, if we choose to investigate the site ourselves, we should go as a full group, which could be a waste of time should I be mistaken.
He, then, wears his best confident face.

Brother Olyn talks to the patrons at the tavern. Most of them are experiencing a mixtute of sadness, worring and excitment. From the rumors going around he learns that:
"The sheriff himself wants to hang the murderers. He has a written testimony from a witness that say they did it."
2d8 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7
As the cleric finishes gathering what information he can dig a group of strangers enters the tavern floor and grab a table. After a quick look Olyn recognize them as Pathfinders because he had worked together with Godorin during their basic trainning. He approuches the table in time to hear Antarah speak in soft tones.
Ok, you are now all together.

Antarah tries to remember what he knows about Sarkoris and its sites.
Know (local): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
| GM Moe |
Godorin thinks about his previous studies. He knows that Sarkoris was the country that used to exist in this parts before the portal to the abyss called the worldwound open. But in the past these parts where just farm land. There was no reason to be any important ruins around here. The locals sure have never heard of any.

Antarah is confused about knowing there's not supposed to be a Sarkoris site around here.
We should know then where the other group was supposed to be sent. Where should we ask first.

Antarah reads the letter again to remind himself what was on it.

Seeing as there are always locals looking for an opportunity at every local tavern, I will offer 5gp each to 3 friendly locals willing to gather info the next morning on:
- Orug's barber shop
- Tent City
- Beer Gardens
provided their reports are credible. I want to know 2 things from each place:
1) what is being rumored about the killing, or other recent unusual events in town.
2) what would I expect to find if I went to those places myself.
On top of the financial reward, I believe a good first impression will attract quality collaboration:

On the next morning, I will approach some individual guard doing rounds in town and make sure he gets the nicest smile in his life [cast Charm Person].
The guard feels a godly-inspired warmth from the handshake with the cleric
On top of that ice-breaker, a few soothing words should make him extra-helpful:
Diplomacy(influence attitude): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Brother Olyn, son of Calistria

With a kick or two of innuendo, perhaps it will occur to the guard himself to escort me into Otto's farm and help keep me, an unarmed man, from any possible harm:
Bluff(suggest course of action): 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 10 = 0
PS.: since the Attitude of the guard towards me is probably MAX by now, perhaps the +5 "wants to believe" modifier should apply, to GM's almighty discretion.

Calistria is a precious mother and grants her children [a bit of luck] when their purpose is worthy:
Bluff(s.c.o.a.) - reroll: 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 10 = 2
Brother Olyn, son of Calistria

Ok, so it was my idea from the outset... I just feel so insecure to go there on my own. Can you please escort me to Otto's farm?
Diplomacy(request): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

That is more like it, thank you Soldier, for your kindness. On our way to Otto's, would you be so sweet as to tell me all you have heard about the case, from the Sheriff or someone else? I would most appreciate it.
Diplomacy(request): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
