"I... am functional." Aegis-9 says as he waives off Vylit. "If we encounter more resistance, the others may need your healing abilities." Though his words are strained and somewhat dismissive, the convey a tone of appreciation.
The android begins to move towards the fallen exile, to see if the party's foe is still alive. After a few steps, he stumbles for a moment, before catching himself on one of the chairs. He straightens himself up and walks fervently, though slowly, towards the injured alien.
"If he is alive, perhaps, we can find out what this being was doing here and get the bottom of this... misunderstanding." Aegis-9 suggests.

Aegis-9 gives Vylit a stern look, before nodding with gratitude.
He then, bends down and examines the exile. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
"Perhaps, then, by the All-Code," the android suggests, "this angered soul may find peace."

The Native is alive, but unconscious. You are able to restrain them.
Now that you have secured the control room, you are able to see that the rest of the outpost is cleared. You are also able to download the records of the events of the outpost.
In short the Church of Desena sent out a colony of five explorers. This was going to be a way station for deeper travel. After setting up the station three of the five went of to discover other planets, but were destroyed by a larger Whelp when trying to leave. The remaining two were then stranded and eventually died.
The note go on to tell how the natives see the whelps as "sky devils" and
they bring the fire storms. Although both the whelps and the storms exist the researchers did not see any causation on either way.
Recent entries in the logs show that the native found the outpost and thought it was a way to control and command the "sky devils" and thus utilized his own mysticism to "create a temple to fire bringers."
Going over the logs and the translated accounts of the native, you now have at least a basic translator to communicate with the natives. But at this point you have gotten what you need. Using the sensors of the outpost you suspect that the storm will last for weeks, but it has strong and weak phases. You can easily determine when the next safest time to travel back to your ship will be.
Is there anything else you would like to do before you leave. I will assume full "salvaging" of the outpost

"It would seem that our mission is accomplished." notes Aegis-9. He downloads the information and secures any artifacts or equipment the party has recovered. He then helps prepare the remains of the exile for their return to the natives.
"It would seem that his misguided actions did, indeed, bring down fire though likely not as he had intended." the android notes solemnly.
To the extent they may still exist, he retrieves any remains or personal effects from the stranded explorers. "One of my first missions as a Starfinder was intended to be a rescue mission, but turned out, instead, to be a recovery mission." he says with a quiet, deep voice. "If there is even a modicum of hope of bringing some measure of peace to those who have lost loved ones here, then I shall endeavor to do so."
