I've gotta sorta house-sit for a few days, and I'm gonna be pretty busy. I probably won't be very active during this time (if I can even get online). I'll be "back" Wednesday! :)

As far as the loot goes, I am only interested in the +1 spiked full-plate.

I will probably have to sell my current suit to afford to re-size the magic suit and payoff the informer.

I have no issue with a town adventure as long as that town is Cauldron. I would love some time to interact with the locals.

yep Cauldron for sure, anything that does not look like cauldron in any post is absolutely cauldron and a DM mis-fire.

All of the above! Plus a bunch of new ones with a focus on the merchant class. Minniwick is a merchant first and a adventurer when he needs to be.

He has avoided his home for the past 75 years due to the vanishing. Now that he has a shop in Cauldron, and hopefully this disaster has been averted, he will need to make connections.

He also needs to find out more about the Stormblades and figure out a way to make them pay for what they did. Then either clear out the tunnel to Jzadirune or find a new way down.

Then he can start on his plan to repopulate Jzadirune as the home city of the Gnomes!

Got to stay busy if I want to avoid the Bleaching!

Nope, Master Alchemist is the 5th level feat I had planned on. Leadership at 7th if you would allow it. Looks like you will!

The gift horse in question was a ticket to a Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Magic. We had several days at sea and stopped at Montego Bay (Jamaica), Georgetown (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands), and Cozumel (Mexico). We got to snorkel out to a shipwreck and hike to (and climb up!) a Mayan pyramid.

I know some of you are much more traveled than I am, so this might not sound like a big deal for you, but this was an absolutely amazing experience for someone that had never even been to the seashore. It's going to be very hard to return to reality...

Well traveled or not that sounds like a wonderful trip! Return to reality, why bother? Start writing an adventure based on all the wonderful places you just got to visit.

Leveled up to 5th. Please tell me if the links to the character sheet and alchemical items worksheet do not work.

I have a question about Hero Points. I have been going on the assumption that we started with one and got one when we leveled to 4th. I used one and we should get another now that we are 5th. So Minniwick has 2 hero points. Is this correct?

Alright, changes:
HP: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
New spells in spellbook: Dispel Magic, Pain Strike
New feat: Skill Focus (intimidate)

Except for perusing new spells available, Edrukk is leveled up. Not much happens for anyone going from 4th to 5th, I think. I did improve my channeling to 3d6 and took Extra Channel, so that's certainly worthwhile.

Welcome back Erine! KK is using Max HP each level.

I got Lesser Restore as my free extract (so I can start making potions) and Master Alchemist as my Feat so I can start making things 10x faster.

If you are observant of the last post I am removing from play several powerful NPCs to set the stage for the coming campaign.

Just an FYI.

Anyone have any things they need to get done ahead of this?

Broccan's To Do List:

1. Refit the suit of magical full plate

2. Sell off the old set of full plate (or give it to Canvy or Edrukk )

3. Payoff the informant.

4. Buy some more javelins.

Broccan's Wish List:

1. Add spikes to his magical shield.

2. Upgrade warhammer and dagger to magical ones.

3. Purchase a couple javelins of lightning or piercing.

I don't know how much I have to work with, but the first 4 are priority.

The way I see it is that each person has a base of 2,000 gold (from the wands reward, and the capture of the wanted woman).

Also the party has other cash that was found and several items that can be traded (amongst each other) or sold off for more money.

Minniwick took a +1 spiked chain and +1 chainmail off the last BBEG alone.

Afraid I've caught a fever, so my posting will be pretty sporadic.
I didn't have much of a plan for Erine, other than teach Goat some spells and follow the others around.

Edrukk's taken with his floaty-armor, and that is a pretty significant piece of treasure, so I'm not expecting much else for him at this point. It would be nice to magic up his greatsword, but I have not given it a lot of thought yet.

2,000 gp (reward)

-1,000 gp (payoff to Artus the Informer) = 1,000 gp

+775 gp (selling non-magical spiked full plate) = 1,775 gp

- 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 x 100 gp to re-fit magical full plate = 1,275 gp

- 10 gp (shield spikes) = 1,265 gp

- 5 gp (for 5 javelins) = 1,260 gp

- 1,100 gp (for a mithril shirt- casual wear/combat zone pajamas) = 160 gp.

I think I'm good to go. :-)

Edrukk actually had a bit of cash from before, so I will go with the first instinct of having the sword enchanted. And he will sell his old breastplate.

Remember Jenya offered spellcasting so you can get spells cast for half cost from the temple, in place of part of the gold.

If the spell is in Sanstrees area that also is possible (Erine note Sans, can scribe scrolls).

Broccan several blacksmiths shops ended up under water (literally) though any of them will take your business as a first priority.

I assume the half-priced spellcasting does not include enchanting weapons. Does it include scrolls (clerical, specifically)?

Will let you guys take that price out of the total cost for weapon enchantment.

Since there is no specific spell required for a +1 weapon, I just looked at generic spellcasting services. The caster level must be 3x the enhancement, or 3. To cast a third-level spell, the caster would have to be fifth-level, so the minimum cost of the spell would be 150 gp.

Rather than sweat the details as a player, Edrukk the character gives them the standard 2000 gp and requests that the extra portion be given to the church.

At this time, Edrukk will squirrel away his remaining cash.

Broccan will immediately payoff the informant, sell his old armor, and commission the re-fit of the new armor and spikifying of his shield.

In the meantime, he'll wear his mithril casual attire while roaming city until his new armor is ready.

I'm guessing buying javelins won't take too long either.

Sorry guys, got a bit left behind and as the number of posts I had to read got larger I found less time to read ... but read through them, nice fight, loved the betting. Other than throw beer over them combatants not much for Canvy to do. Will get a list of scrolls, Canvy might have use for, just need to see how much cash he's thieved from the party.

I sent Canvy a private message since he is the first to arrive and gets a surprise attack.....
