A wee notice:
By the way, I will be taking a week in one of my favorite places - somewhere new - and am unsure of my posting availability. I expect to be back to normal availability on the 16th. I'm sure you note that I did not say back to normal - I'm not really there now!

Please bot Canvy if you need to.
My computer motherboard has gone to that great motherboard in the sky.
Thus I may or may not have access to a computer that will allow me to post.

You might need to kill it and recreate the link to the thread. They've made a load of changes to the site.

Sorry, been hit by man 'flu this week, since returning from last weekend away at CrispyCon. I did leave a note on my main profile 'Deevor', if I haven't left you a note to say what's happening. Will be back with you tomorrow, 23rd.
Oh yeah, Minniwick is so right about CrispyCon ... great weekend, despite coming down with the man 'flu.
I am working up the next chapter, Zenith Trajectory so have been busy with that.
I am going to have the flood festival delayed due to bad weather until you guys get back and save the city.
There will be down time to prepare for the festival, then to prepare for the next chapter, in that time will be the entire winter until spring, so Broccan can get the armor done and others will have time to acquire scrolls, learn spells, etc.
The flood festival is a roleplaying opportunity, those interested in the festivities let me know, those who are going for other festivities (bar brawling, drinking contests, etc) can plan accordingly!

Things have seemed a bit lackluster for a while. That and, on my part, loosing the thread for a few weeks did not help. Maybe it is just pacing or the difficulty of doing a dungeon crawl by post.
Combat wise as my attacks cover a huge area more maps are nice. I have adjusted for the fly by the seat of your pants approach that we use. Also getting selective bombs keeps me from doing friendly fire all the time. So it is not necessary and I understand maps can take a lot of time.
I would love to be able to interact with the NPC's a bit more. We seem to skip past the in town time. I do not know if that is due to lack of interest from the other players or just timing.
I think we need some more structure to the posts and a fall back when someone does not make the deadline. It can be difficult as we are all in very different time zones. Canvy and I are in England and I think everyone else is in the USA (not sure). But I would not object to when someone misses their post a day that they put into bot mode until they post. We could put generic guidelines for botting on our character profiles.
All and all I have enjoyed the game so far and am happy to continue in whatever vein you like.
I am thinking we should change to the us and them initiative, that is the monsters roll 1 initiative number and each PC gets a roll, If even one person wins initiative then the whole party wins.
This sets a block of actions for PC's to post (in any order) and then (remaining) monsters to post as a "block".
I "hate" to bot anyones character.
As far a dungeon crawl goes....I have been trying to place a "guide" or person that can get you to places that you "need" to hit for the campaign objectives...(to speed up crawling ;)
I think the map in tab works great, and lets you take a battle into any room, when I make a map, I feel like I am restricting the battle to the room in question, rather than allowing a more sensible approach (like falling back into a choke point.)
Attacks that cover areas I could do better knowing how large of an area a spell/effect/bomb covers, that should let me target(effect) the correct number of enemies and in general if it is the ones attacking or if you intend to do battlefield control by targeting current non-combatants.
Interaction with NPC's (that is a hard one) If I present an NPC and you do not get an opportunity to interact....because I move ahead with a post that takes you to a new location just post something like....

I'm fine with the adjustment to initiative. Several other games I'm in have some variation on that idea.

KK, would you be open to changing up character options when we get to some point of not being in mortal peril? Or perhaps when we next level up?
There are things I would like to try and Edrukk's kind grown a bit boring for me as-is.
I'm looking at the spell points house rules from Super Genius Games for one.

Oh, I don't have a problem running with a character for years. Edrukk just hasn't worked out to be as interesting as I'd hoped. Primary problem, I think, is I built him to be a warrior that happens to heal. He's not terribly effective as a warrior and we don't really need him to be, with Broccan and Canvy, but I am not excited about being more of a spellcaster as he is. Trying out spell points will at least make that interesting because I haven't put them into practice before.
If you don't have the PDF, I would be happy to share the pertinent bits in a pm. Or the book is not expensive, I think a couple of bucks if you want check it all out yourself.

I have received a gift horse and, rather than looking it in the mouth, I'm going to go for a ride. I will be far from home and computer for the next ten days or so. Please bot Edrukk in my absence.
I am seriously considering taking out zenith trajectory Next chapter (yet another dungeon crawl) and replacing it with a modified version of The speaker in dreams (a town based adventure).
