Reta obvious misunderstands as she whirls and bares her teeth at Chuffy.
My teef is too big? Reta's teef is shinest in whole tribe. It is nice teef!! Not big not small, very teef!!!"

![]() |

"Reta likes sharpie. Teef is for others." She points to rather clean looking teeth. Sharpened of course.

![]() |

Reta eyes Chuffy rather dangerously.
"Like you....Reta Teef to bite is for like you.....heh heh heh heh..." Her eyes gleam as she eyes Chuffy.

![]() |

Reta huffs as she turns around and continues walking. Dissappointed she didn't get to show Chuffy how well she kept her teef in order.

StephNyan |

The discussion has drawn the attention of a creature that's hiding in the treetops. Lotslegs eyes the goblins and waits for them to get in range. While the other goblins are too distracted by incredibly interesting things like mushrooms and frogs, Reta looks up and sees the spider.
"Lotslegs!" Reta yells, and points out the spider in the tree. Lotslegs apparently realizes it's been discovered and lowers itself to the ground, 20 feet from the party.

Reta looks up and twangs at Lotslegs and bares her teef.

Chuffy of the Hills |

Chuffy moves quick and gets behind Lotsalegs, if he can, to flank.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23+2 for flanking +2 if counts as animal
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 + Sneak: 1d6 ⇒ 3 + Animal: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14

Mogmurch Goboom |

"Outta da way!" Mogmurch shouts as he moves to within throwing distance and violently shakes a vial he pulled from his pouch, Launching it through the air, the goblin aimed at the spider, hoping to hit is squarely in the body.
throw bomb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 fire damage
DC 12 reflex save for half damage. Splash damage of 3 on all squares around square of impact.
I think the spider is considered a vermin, so extra damage to hit from the dogslicer would not be included. :(

StephNyan |

Lotslegs is indeed vermin.
Poog keeps his distance and throws a javelin at Lotslegs. The javelin doesn't do much damage, but distracts the spider enough for the sneaky Chuffy to land a solid hit.
Mogmurch throws a bomb at Lotslegs, but misses. The splash damage from the bomb damages Lotslegs, but isn't enough to bring the giant spider down. Unfortunately Chuffy and Reta also receive the splash damage. (Both receive 1 damage.)
Lotslegs Ref save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

"Arghhh!! Reta will bite fire thrower later....."
Reta drops the bow and stabs a leg with her dogslicer.
Attack with Dogslicer 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 The pain from the fire hampers her swing though as she stops halfway to blow out the flames.

Chuffy of the Hills |

Chuffy shifts to maintain his ideal position, if needed, and licks his lips as he drives his blade into the spider once more.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10
Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (6) = 7
[ooc]I did my previous attack from work and was wrong on the damage. 1d4 ⇒ 2 for the weapon damage itself instead of the 6 I did before

StephNyan |

Lotslegs turns to Chuffy and attempts to bite him, but Chuffy dodges the bite.
Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Chuffy then tries to drive his blade into the spider again, but the attack's too weak to penetrate Lotslegs' natural armor.

Reta once more strikes Lots
Attack with Dogslicer 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"Sharpie Chop Chop!!!"

Mogmurch Goboom |

Looking confused that his bomb did so little, he instead pulls a vial of red liquid from his pouch and shouts again "Let see if this work!" as he lobs the vial at the large spider.
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
fire damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
This time, throwing a vial of alchemist fire.

StephNyan |

Reta attacks Lotlegs with her dogslicer, but misses again. Lotslegs seems to be intimidated by the goblins and turns to run away. The goblins run after it, and Mogmurch takes it down with a bomb when Lotslegs is just in front of her lair.
Combat's over!
The lair itself consists of a deadfall of several old trees. Scattered amid the trees are dozens of bodies, some of which are goblins, but a few of which are humans.

Mogmurch Goboom |

"Woo weee! Fire burn strong and hard! Lotslegs no match for it!" Mogmurch shouted as the creature fell.
Once inside the spider's lair Mogmurch takes a look around.

The Old Shipwreck
The point indicated on Scribbleface’s map isn’t quite on the coast, but it’s close enough to hear the faint susurrus of waves crashing on an unseen swampy shoreline. The site itself is obvious once it is approached.
A two-masted ship lies mired in the mud in this clearing, its rigging thick with moss and decorated with lanterns and windchimes made from goblin skulls and bones. Strange writing is faintly visible along the ship’s prow, while the soggy, swampy “yard” that surrounds the wreck is encircled by a rickety wooden fence. A thin curl of smoke wafts up from a chimney that protrudes from an unusual box-like structure near the ship's bow.
Although much of the Kaijitsu Star’s decor has faded, and most of her truly valuable supplies were taken by her surviving crew after the wreck many years ago, there remain here and there faint and subtle hints that the ship may have once been a work of beauty. The primary thing that should concern the goblins, however, is the fact that the wreck is now the lair of the goblin cannibal Vorka.
The horror surrounding Vorka goes beyond her dietary preference, for she also keeps a dog and even a horse as pets and guardians—creatures traditionally feared and hated by goblins. As you approach, the sinister neighing of a large, frightening horse coming from the direction of the wreck.

"THE" Poog of Zarongel |

As they follow the map directions, Poog suddenly halts, making his fellow goblins bump into him.
"Hold! This be point Scribbleface's map says we must be?"
He remembers the tales about something like that.
"Bad, great boat is home to Vorka, goblin-who-eat-goblin-many.
We must be careful, unless she traps us in cookpot."

Mogmurch Goboom |

Unsure of himself, he stops in fear at hearing the horse, "I no know...that horse sound very angry. Vorka is dangerous like longshanks if she is horse friend." Mogmurch said this as he absently gripped one of his bombs. "Make sure Reta and Chuffy take one of those healie brews that we found before we go ahead." With that, his other hand holds the loaded crossbow out and ready to be used.

While the goblins approach the entrance to the "yard", they see a vine-choked gangplank with a mossy handrail descends sharply from the ship’s bow to the muddy ground below. One handrail seems to be encrusted with a large ball of dried mud.
The goblins also see Stomp, Vorka's horse. Stomp's removed some distance from the gangplank. About as far as the goblins themselves are removed from it.

Chuffy of the Hills |

Whispering, he looks over to Mog. "Can you shoot that thing so that Reta and Chuffy can shank it? Horse never see it coming!"
The excited goblin has his animal killing chopper ready as he hides as best he can behind the fence.

Stomp moves closer to the gangplank when it turns it's head into the direction of the goblins. The horse whinnies and moves up to the fence, where it sees the goblins. Stomp then moves up Chuffy, and attacks Chuffy with its hooves. Both of Stomp's hooves miss horribly.

Reta sighs as she sees Chuffy likely making a killing bow!!
She waits for the horse to fall.

StephNyan |

Chuffy's attack finishes the horse with a quick slash. The horse nearly crashes on him, but Chuffy's able to avoid being crushed by the dead horse.
Combat's over!
The goblins enter the yard. A vine-choked gangplank with a mossy handrail descends sharply from the ship’s bow to the muddy ground below. One handrail seems to be encrusted with a large ball of dried mud. (Ascending the gangplank requires a DC 10 Climb check.)

![]() |

Reta takes her time to climb up carefully and slowly so as not to be spotted.
Take 10 for Climb+1 and Stealth+11 for total 11 & 21.

StephNyan |

With their incredible stealth Reta, Poog and Chuffy arrive on the other end of the gangplank. Mogmurch is still standing in the yard, looking at mushrooms, but is likely to join the others soon.
Upper Deck
The main deck of the shipwreck is cluttered with objects both natural and artificial. Thick swaths of leafy vines grow over the deck, and shiny green patches of algae and moss grow where the vines do not. The central cabin's roof has a wide edge, creating a canopied walkway along the ship's sides. A flight of steps up to the roof of the ship's main cabin, the entrance to which is blocked by a door decorated by a large number of rodent and bird skulls. A smoking stovepipe chimney extends up from the ship's highest point above.
Two of Vorka’s feral dogs live on this upper deck—one a mangy hound with one blue eye and one brown eye and the other a scruffy mongrel with a crooked tail. Both are quite feral and half-starved, chained to different masts via 20-foot-long rusty chains. The mangy hound is chained to the central mast on the upper deck, while the scruffy mongrel is chained to the aft mast below. It doesn't take long before the dog that's closest to the goblins smells them and starts barking, and the other dog soon joins in the barking.

Mogmurch Goboom |

Running after his goblin allies, Mogmurch attempts to scale up to the gangplank
Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Once up on deck and spotting the dogs, he is startled by the sound of dogs, the most fierce of enemies. Seeing the dogs' chained situation however, his rigidness turns to relief as a toothy smile spreads across his face. Pulling a bomb from his satchel, he prepared to throw it at one of the mangy hounds.
