Niles has the initiative correct, except there was no surprise round. You guys smelled death, and no one was stealthing, so the party was heard; no surprise round, so full turns are in play.
I knew there was no surprise round, but these are zombies. They have the staggered condition. Hence only a move or standard action (unless they charge.)

"A zombie!", Celeb calls out. "My arrows won't be much more than a distraction with these. Use blades if you have them! Let's hope there are not too many."
"Wish now I would've picked up that hatchet I had my eye on earlier.", Celeb thinks to himself as he launches another arrow.

I was waiting for the undead in the initiative order. Sorry It was unclear to me that they'd gone
Ob surveys the attacking creatues and calls forth a slick of water on the floor to halt their advance. DC 15 reflex save or go prone for the two zombies in it. It will replicate grease for 1 round. At the beginning of my next round I can choose to take a point of burn to extend it beyond 1 round

Nikolai shakes his head as Morād rushes into the chokepoint just vacated by Torag's Fist. "No sense of tactics!" he thinks as he waits for a zombie to appear.
"I think my electricity will work," he says to Celeb, "how about we switch?"

![]() |

Nikolai switches with Celeb and fires a crackling blast between Garret and Morād's legs at the zombie.
At zombie #3 Kinetic Blast against touch AC, soft cover and melee penalties apply: 1d20 + 3 - 8 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 8 = -1electricity damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Yikes. Good thing PFS doesn't have critical fumbles.

At his party members request, Garret retreats a ways.
I don't think I can see any bad guys from here. I'll attack one if I can see it, if not I'll ready an attack against any that come into range.

Sorry, I obviously misinterpreted what Niles was saying.
Dolgrin begins concentrating as emotions surge through his mind, coalescing them into an expression of inner will.
As Ob concentrates, water pools from the cave, dripping from the ceiling and rising from the ground.
Zombie 1's refex save: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Zombie 3's refex save: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Both zombies fall prone from the pooling water.
Morād moves up and attacks the prone zombie, slicing a chunk from its legs.
Nikolai scurries among the tightly packed Pathfinders, and fires off a charged blast, missing the creatures due to the tight shot.
End Round 1

Begin Round 2
As Garret faithfully retreats to open a better position, he lugs earth at the nearest fallen zombie. Despite the creature being prone, the rock strikes the creature squarely in its shoulder.

As the phantom retreats further into the caves, Celeb looses his arrow toward the standing zombie, missing the shot.
A celestial eagle appears behind the zombies, attacking one of them (not specified which; assuming Zombie #2) with a series of talon slashes and bites. Dolgrin readies his spear to trip the first zombie to near him.
Ob lets the water/ice slick fade, instead launching a freezing blast at the standing zombie (Zombie #1), hitting it squarely in the chest with a lucky shot.

Summoned celestial eagle's AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

The other zombie moves forward (to D5), advancing on the group. As it does so, Dolgrin attempts to trip the creature, but fails (failed by 9, so no falling prone); Nikolai releases an electric blast, which meets the undead's face with a sizzling pop. An eyeball bursts and its face blackens. Simultaneously, Garret lobs a chunk of earth at the zombie's feet, crushing its skull inward. Its body falls to the cave floor with a loud, squishy thud.

Knowing his arrows will be less effective than the weapons his allies are using, and seeing they have a flanking advantage, Celeb shoulders his bow and draws his warhammer. Taking a defensive stance, he taunts the zombie ahead, hoping to have it focus directly on him. "Come closer vile fiend. Let's send your cursed corpse back to the depths."
Celeb will go total defense.

"I think the cave flappy in my pack is dead, or sleeping. Besides, don't they kill by strangling?" he asks, while firing another bolt of crackling energy at the zombie. "That wouldn't do much good against undead!"

End Round 3
Garret is up next, but Morād's readied attack will kill the zombie.
As Garret considers his attack options, the last remaining zombie approaches. As it closes, Dolgrin attempts -yet fails- to trip it. As the Zombie moves even closer, Morād makes an arcing slash that slices the zombie's near hand, far forearm, and legs off of its body, effectively quartering the foul thing.

Morād inspects and wipes his blade, grimacing at the wear to the edge. "I agree with Ob. Perhaps we've been far too lax. From now on, let me scout ahead."
Morād pulls his clothes tighter to himself, still looking like he has far too much fabric for his frame, and pulls a sash from his oversized turban and wraps it around his face and neck.

Among the fallen bodies, the Pathfinders find a note written by the dead corpse (at J3) that details plans to start an army of undead made from the "fish people" who have been frequenting this cave. In addition, two of the undead bodies hold items of interest: a light crossbow, and a quiver containing 20 arrows.

As the Pathfinders mull around the cave looking over the bodies, Dolgrin, Ob and Nikolai notice a concealed passage in the northern wall; it appears to be an upward traveling tunnel.
Does the group wish to press forward or double back to the main cavern?

![]() |

"Necromancy never pays. Clearly, his own twisted creations turned on him." Nikolai nudges the body with his foot as he speaks, ensuring that it is indeed dead, before searching the room.
"Hey! I found a tunnel. Do we wanna take it, or go back?"
Sorry for the delay. Moving with two cats and a 2 month old...
