★ - OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT - ★
With the help of dozens of other Pathfinders, all working together, the last of the circles and their strange guardians fall!
Sorrina Westyr's image manifests to the Pathfinders, standing before a floating metallic polyhedron scribed with countless shifting glyphs. “We have done it! Now how to open this—”
A great crack interrupts the Master of Spell's musings, as an immense three-eyed giant with skin like hewn stone steps through a tear in space, with an army pouring out past her. The giant bellows so that all can hear. “I acknowledge your strength, little ones, for you have angered my benefactor enough to send me. I and my warriors, the Daemon Prayers, honor it with unyielding death. Seize the Vault! Slay them all!”
Sorrina Westyr urgently pipes in. “We just need a few more minutes to secure our prize and escape. Hold them off as long as you can!”
Drandle Dreng’s shaggy head appears once again in the divination window. “You heard her, Pathfinders!” He says, fist raised. “Go get ‘em!”
Table GMs, begin the final encounters.

GM Zoomba |
Blanmieux slices and dices the cosntruct finally, while the Professor and Kivuli prepare for more. Enough time for the Shield extract, not quite Long Arm.
As it falls, Sorrina's message appears before you one final time. The Master of Spells seems ready to begin extracting something from the central orb, weakened as it is by your and other Pathfinders' efforts. But as a gaint rift erupts in the stone and the three eyed giant and her forces pour through, you steel yourself. It's time to make a final stand!

You spend a few moments catching your breath. Around you your efforts have prduced a momentary bubble of calm in the surrounding melee, as outsiders and earthen monsters crash against the lines of Pathfinders defending Sorinna and her team as they finish extracting...something from within the massive puzzle orb.
*SQUAWWWWWK!!!* A Tengu messenger manages to duck past a barrage of acidic bolts before collapsing in front of you, bloody and singed. He looks up at your and starts speaking frantically.
"Brak. Trying to secure exit. All elements down. Then big men and monsters, came through rifts. Talk about job, pay. Not enough Lords have fanatics, now mercenaries too!"
"Not much time left! They keep coming! Need to get trapped thing and go! Escape route must be cleared! Guide hub foothold, must be held. But tunnels can't be exposed. We have to guard the sides..."
The tengu passes out, though a quick check shows its as much from exhaustion as his injuries. While two other medics rush to his aid with stabilizing kits, his charge echoes through your heads.
Take 5 rounds for healing, and also need to decide where you want to help rally against the encroaching forces as you guard the Pathfinders' retreat. There's a large open clearing (that sounds suspiciusly like where you fought the xorn), or a more winding and twisting tunnel nexus. Up to you: I'll see which side's winning in the morning.
Crios Greymantle |
Taking out his wand of infernal healing, Crios taps each wounded party member and then casts his shield spell as the group begins to make their way to the...

As you race through the melee of Pathfinders pushing back this final assault, the tunnels twist and turn into dozens of dead-ends, each of which terminates in a rapidly shifting portal through which other locations on the asteroid are visible. Moving down one tunnel, you see a wider cavern ahead of you in which a slain dwarf and elf lie still and bloody in its center - with a large humanoid figure with sparkling eyes looming over them.
He cleans his scimitar against the looses robes covering a suit of chainmail and looks up at you with a smirk.
"Well, look here Elsa. Some more of troublemakers. Should we answer their prayers with a quick death?"
A similar looking figure moves up within a northern tunnel, wielding a bow and medium sized. "Well we are the Daemon's Prayers Jaiso. I'm sure Ename would approve. Ferren?"
