Traveling through the briar proves a difficult task, and a painful one as well. Cecilla leads you around patches of poisoned thorns, sickly trees and tainted groves for more than an hour. Luckily, her expert guidance in that sorrowful place allows you to come out of it mostly unhurt.
Time spent in Tanglebriar: 2:40 hour (2 saves) - Time to make a new save! Fort DC 14 (1d4 strength damage on failure)
Once you are in sight of Kethalia, the next step of your journey, Cecilla takes her leave. "I must leave now. Best of luck in your rescue mission, Patfinders. We are in the outskirts of Kethalia, a ruined city we used as a hiding place. Be careful, for none is safe within Tanglebriar."
What was once the settlement of Kethalia is now a vinechoked ruin. Shattered white marble structures now stained with sap and filth still reflect what little light filters in. Rubble from collapsed levels obscures much of the ground, and, like ghouls from a grave, trees have tenaciously clawed their way through the debris, their roots expanding in all directions to buckle paving stones and crack mortar.
You quickly understand why this ancient settlement was used as a hiding spot by the Uprooters. Here, the poisonous fumes and lacerating briar cannot harm you. There is a lingering aura of peace and rest surrounding this eerie place.
Are you going to explore the settlement, or simply go through it using the quickest way possible?

Osric, thanks to Improved Precise Shot he won't get any cover bonus against your shots, so you don't need to move.
The Babaus are resistant to acid, cold and fire, like all demons. You also know that their skin is coated with acidic slime, damaging weapons that strike babaus.
Darius goes straight into melee and kills one of the babaus with one clean strike! The demon falls on the ground, decapitated.
Acid damage to Darius's blade, Ref DC 18 negates: 1d8 ⇒ 4

I am not sure if this is feasible since Fendahl does not have speak with animals prepped but can handle animals...depending on the DC.
