Other than casting Owl's Wisdom to increase the DC by 2, what else can you do to make the corpse fail their Will save?
One of the Repose subdomains allows you to speak with dead with no save. You get a number of questions per class level per day. There is also Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus, not to mention Heighten Spell. Persistent Spell could also help.

I was just about to mention Persistent Spell. It's probably one of the most effective metamagics as far as making someone fail their save. It's effectively save twice and take the lower result (and that fits in line with the Chaos Domain Ability and the Misfortune Hex on a power scale - except that it's part of the spell as metamagic and not a separate action).

I just looked up Metamagic, persistent, lesser Rod and I think this is perfect. Thanks for the suggestion.
This is also a good investment for spells that have lower saves like Command. At my level I pretty much stopped memorizing lower level spells that require saves but now something like this will give new breath to these lower level spells.
You can modify a spell to become more tenacious when its targets resist its effect.
Benefit: Whenever a creature targeted by a persistent spell or within its area succeeds on its saving throw against the spell, it must make another saving throw against the effect. If a creature fails this second saving throw, it suffers the full effects of the spell, as if it had failed its first saving throw.
Level Increase: +2 (a persistent spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell’s actual level.)
Spells that do not require a saving throw to resist or lessen the spell’s effect do not benefit from this feat.

Yeah, and surprisingly enough the Rod of Metamagic, Persistent, Lesser is rather cheap as an item. It's only 3k GP. That instantly bumps it up to a must buy even ahead of the Silent and Extend rods.
