Fort Save once more! 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 - 1 = 14 You know it'll be real funny to die by this. I'll just let this char remain dead.
GM Aerondor
|
You get an action as well as the save or are you keeping your readied action? You do note it has a very long neck, so may be able to reach without getting into a position you can charge it....
Urias Leogil
|
Going to move away instead but I can't see it on my phone. Going o double move to my cloest ally.
Silgil
|
Silgil pops Urias with the Enlarge spell, him being the one he can see. Now you can reach him! Sorry Zax, I'd have popped you but you were not visible when the spell went off.
He then steps up to the edge of the mist and starts another enlarged person using a mythic point. This one's for you Zax if the battle lasts!
@Aerondor
Note: Glitterdust gives a ST each round. Don't know if you missed it or I missed something.
GM Aerondor
|
Thanks, I missed that bit about the save. I'll give him three next round :-)
Urias moves over to Zax and Monterey, while Zax fires his crossbow with effect.
Silgil then enlarges Urias.

Talan opts to rely on his own power for this round and moves back to the edge of the mist to hurl another pair of missiles at the beast on the wall. He eagerly awaits stronger magical options when he grows in power again.
Move to edge of Obscuring mist, standard to cast magic missile.
Magic Missile: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 2 = 7
GM Aerondor
|
More magical missiles slam into the drake.
saves: 3d20 ⇒ (7, 6, 19) = 32
Blinking its eyes clear of the Glitterdust at last, it scrabbles down the cliff and tries to bite Urias.
attack: 1d20 + 150 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 150 - 2 = 155
damage: 2d6 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (6, 2) + 9 - 4 = 13
And tries to grab him
grab: 1d20 + 22 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 22 - 2 = 38
constrict: 2d6 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 - 4 = 12
Urias can also make an AOO as the beast closes. There are some mythic abilities that you might want to use to lessen that onslaught of damage.

1d20+150-2
@_@ ;)
Free Actions
Monterey enters a Rage and then a Titan Rage, foaming at the mouth and growing in size once again. 1 mythic point used.
"RRRrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!"
Move Action
He draws his Greatsword while moving up to the dragon.
Standard Action
In a deep gnomish voice, Monterey says, "Take this!"
He attacks the dragon! He has reach now. Greatsword is magical.
Greatsword Attack (Power Attack, Rage, Titan Rage): 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 9 - 1 + 2 + 1 = 27
Greatsword Damage (Power Attack, Rage, Titan Rage): 2d6 + 8 + 3 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (6, 3) + 8 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 26
Fort Save (Con Damage): 1d20 + 10 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 10 - 1 = 29
Welp... that was a lot of really good rolls...
Silgil
|
This time Zax gets the enlargement. figuring the three titanic wafrriors should be able to deal with the foe at this point, Silgil relaxes a bit and fires a single magic missile from his wand.
MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
"There you go. Now they are not so small any more and maybe you can tell the difference between them and us, not that it is going to matter for much longer."
GM Aerondor

Unless I missed it somwehere, Zax is not enlarged.
Monterey delivers a TITANIC blow to the dragon, while Silgil continues to pummel it with magical missiles.
As the blow lands a magical longsword forms in the air near Monterey, slashing at him
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Silgil started casting enlarge on him last round, so it just finished and now he is.
Zax Groud
|
I think I will be after this round as he is going to cast this turn, its a full round to cast, isn't it?
Zax fires his crossbow again!
Crossbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 for Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
GM Aerondor
|
Looks like it will be dragonburger soon, which is probably just as well for Urias! STill has a whole heap of HP though. MM doesn't quite keep up the damage curve that an enlarged enranged barbarian can put out.
@Zax, you will be large this round, so if you want to recon to a melee attack, be my guest. Large missile fire is seriously poor.

OMG My GM hates me. +150 to hit? lol
AOO, fatigued, enlarged 1d20 + 7 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 1 - 1 = 192d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 5) + 4 + 1 = 12
Using Absorb Blow to negate 15 points of damage.
Mythic Point Used.
Fort Save, fatigued 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 1 = 16
Surge 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 61d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 <--this is too booost my fort save.
Mythic point Used.
Attack , fatigued, enlarged, power attack1d20 + 9 - 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 - 1 - 1 - 1 = 112d8 + 7 ⇒ (2, 5) + 7 = 14
Urias swings on instinct as the his now larger halberd crashes into the dragon! He feels the its teeth and using that power granted by the Sage, he clenches his mighty biceps and prevents it from doing too much damage.
Since the creature was already upon him, Urias proceeds to sneeze multiple times. A total of 7 mighty sneezes erupts from Urias and each sneeze seems to make Urias more impressive as his arms bulge, his chest widens and his legs grow far more muscular. But alas the poison and earlier events take their toil and the last sneeze seems to revert him back to normal size, whatever it is he tried, it failed.
GM Aerondor

It's a little known Mythic buff, kind of like Mythic True Strike. Listed in the new "Mythic Buffs" hardback, its on page 666 'GM oopsie'
And in the spirit of Christmas, everyone can have a +7 sacred bonus to one d20 roll in this encounter. I'll apply it to Urias's AOO,
As the dragonkin closes, Urias drops a massive blow on it, but it keeps coming. Electra drives yet another magical missile into it. Surely even a dragon can't take this type of punishment and still stay up, but up it is... just.

To keep it fair, add two to the "to-hit" roll about for a 16. Add +7 sacred bonus and I'm at 23. If that hits,
Enlarged Longsword: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 4) + 4 = 13
As he drops his crossbow, Zax will Lay on Hands: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 before drawing his weapon and attack the creature. I believe I have a 10' reach now so I'll hang back a little so as to not draw a potential AoO, unless he is too high on the cliff.
GM Aerondor
|
squeaks in!
With a mighty blow from his enlarged longsword, Zax knocks the dragon-like creature to the ground. It lies there unmoving, though it still breathes... though for how long is anyone's guess.
The phantom sword winks out of existance.

Urias, you still have more two more fort saves to make, if you make the first, you don't need to make the second
Silgil

"I'm inclined to save it. Seemed like it was harassed by the folks we're chasing. If we revive it, perhaps it will think differently of us and give us some info? It is a magnificent beast."
Talan the Dunedrake
|
"While I appreciate that it may be some sort of distant relative of mine, it did attempt to zap the life out of all of us just for walking by. It may be better to make sure it stays down."
Talan dismisses the mist he'd summoned for cover and gathers closer to the felled creature. "Maybe make sure it's stable and then leave it to the whims of the desert."
Urias Leogil
|
Fort Save 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 1 = 19 Finally
Wheezing as the creature's grip on him loosened, Urias managed to get out.
"Save it? It just tried to kill us! I'm all for ending its life right now except that it mentioned that someone else was here before us."
"Also I have wand that can be used to heal these scratches on me before I get more infections."
Silgil
|
"Well, I can't save the beastie myself. No healing arts at all. So I guess if none of you will stabilize it, it will bleed out before much longer. I have a wand here that wold keep it alive but one of you would have to activate it."
GM Aerondor
|
Leaving this one up to you. Some of you may have FJC stuff this could contribute to. I'll certainly count saving this and letting it go for the Silver Crusade one about generosity to defeated opponents.
Electra Firemind
|
Electra ponders for a moment before slowly nodding. "Silgil has a good point her. If we behave like the aspis, how much better than them are we. Please can someone heal him!"
Urias Leogil
|
Coughing as he steps away, Urias points at Zax.
"He's the only one able to do it."
"Well Zax." he grins. "Funny and cliche as it may seem but his life is in your hands."
Monterey~
|
Monterey breathes heavily from the rage. "Well, won't be me doing it."
Monterey sheathes his greatsword and waits for the decision. Meanwhile, he searches around the area.
Zax Groud
|
Zax will secure the creature with rope and use his wand to bring the creature conscious. If the creature is willing to communicate peacefully, he'll ask it about the ones that the party is pursuing.
GM Aerondor
|
Knock off two charges, and you have a captive dragon-kin
It looks ashamedly at you all as you explain the situation. "Two of you came this way recently. They claimed it was a mistake. In my generosity I let them go. "
He flicks a small bead at you. "One of them dropped this. I thought it pretty, but if you search them out maybe you will find it useful."
Silgil
|
"But what did they do that made you so mad?"
GM Aerondor
|
"These are my lands. They...and you.. were trespassing." says the creature.
You learn it is a young Behir, a kind of creature that resembles a dragon, albeit one that doesn't fly but rather clambers around.
"They went that way" is says pointing down the valley
Zax Groud
|
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
That's quite the ring you have. Where did you get it? Zax points to one of its claws, where a crown is worn like a ring.
Urias Leogil
|
I'll knock off 2 charges from my ring.
2d8 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8 and another 2 charges for myself.
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 If we noticed the crown before we wake it up, I'll grab it. Urias is sick and needs to pay medical bills. lol
Urias notices the ring but decides to still his tongue and not because he's still attempting to cough out the offending poison in his system.
GM Aerondor
|
You can have noticed it before waking him up.
The young Behir sighs. "Some food brought it with him a few years ago. I thought it looked pretty, and it brought me good luck in battle, until now."
Electra Firemind
|
Using a quick dweomer to discern magical auras, Electra smiles at the behir. "Well you are right, those are your lands. I think we should offer you a token of friendship and our gratitude for your permission to let us pass! In my lands a vanquished foe offers a token of his belongings to the victor, like his horse and armor. In return the victor shows mercy, and tells of the honor of the opponent. We will tell everybody that this land is guarded by your magnificent grace and that in return for safe passage a small token of gratitude should be passed to you. How do you like that?"
Diplomacy aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10

Spellcraftcrown: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
GM Aerondor

The bead is a Boro bead, and the crown, a crowd of swords (which would probably give a clue as to what caused the phantom sword attacking you earlier).
Talan the Dunedrake
|
"If they had a boro bead... then if the poison and herb purchases in town didn't make us suspicious, then I think we know for certain now that one is an alchemist. He's got to accept that we're probably coming back through to go home, if we're making that sort of deal."
Talan is terrible at searching, but follows Monterey in his scouting just so no one isn't wandering too far alone.
Silgil
|
"Well, we are most certainly NOT food. And I think the bead is fine recompense for the trouble you have caused us. From now on I'd stick to dumb animals for food. The intelligent types tend to band together for strength and get revenge. Just my 2 coppers."
GM Aerondor
|
The young creature glares at Silgil, but he obviously knows when he is overmatched. "Noted."
Zax Groud
|
The bead seems reasonable recompense to me as well. We'll see about these others that has trespassed and make sure neither them or us do so again. That sound fair to you? If so, Zax will untie the creature and lead the party onward toward completing their mission.
GM Aerondor
|
The Behir nods its acceptance and the team continues its trek down the valley.
The weather is still blisteringly hot, and the landscape blasted by heat, and perhaps worse things.
Two more Fort saves, and may as well let me know any other healing you are doing after that last battle. As before any benefits like endurance or other things against hot weather can count.

Wand of Cure Light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Don't have any way to heal the con, but not particularly worried about it. Brings him from 16 to 14. And funnily enough when you're mythic... it doesn't change max HP that much.
Fort Save (Con Damage): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 1 = 18
Fort Save (Con Damage): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 - 1 = 13
Gonna reroll that second one. Really bad for a barbarian to be fatigued.
Fort Save (Con Damage) (Reroll +5): 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 1 + 5 = 19
Zax Groud

Fort: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Surge: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Surge: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
So its now an 18.
