Please also "dot" in the Gameplay thread so you can keep track of this thread.
This is a good place to discuss characters before the game starts.
Remember, this game is not planned to start until October 11, 2016.
Once you have decided on your character (don't feel rushed... you can fill this out closer to the start date), please fill out the following:
Player Name:
PC Name:
PFS#:
Faction:
Day Job: Feel free to roll now.
Normal/Slow Track:
Notes: Anything I need to know, such as passive abilities or weird quirks.
This link is great if you are new to PbP.
Please put a "stat line" for your character. You can place this is many of the fields on your character profile (class, gender, etc.) I don't care where, as long as it appears underneath your character name when your character posts. This is important so that I know whether I have hit your character or not when I do attacks. You can even change it up as your AC changes (like mage armor, etc.) Here's an example of one of my stat lines for a character (but there are many different styles that are acceptable):
Half-Orc Spiritualist (Onmyoji) 1 | HP 10/10 | AC 12 | T 10 | FF 12 | CMD 10 | Fort +6 | Ref +2 | Will +9 | Init +2 | Perception +5 | Sense Motive +5 | Level 1 Spells: 3/3
Also make sure your character sheet is up to date by the start time.
If you have a companion, feel free to make an alternate non-PFS alias for them with their own stat line by going to My Account -> Create New Alias. This is not required but it can be rather fun!
Please use your PFS once your character is decided for all posts related to this game. Makes it a lot easier to track people. Other aliases are fine for now.

Player Name: Nohwear
PC Name: Sunae
PFS#: 94305-19
Faction: Grand Lodge
Day Job: TBD, probably none
Normal/Slow Track: Normal
Notes: TBD, most likely is that bear companion is a polar bear. My likely build will be what I call "sick 'em," where I buff while my pet fights.
EDIT: Bigguyinblack, my suggestion would be to use an existing character. I would prefer to say in low tier though.

I've got a Druid at level 4 or a Bard at level 2. I'm fine either way. The Druid is a tank which the party seems to lack right now (but would likely push the game to high tier, and duplicate Sunae), while a Bard is always useful. However, either is contingent on finishing their current games by slot 1.

My only available Core character is a Barbarian 1/Wizard 1, heading for Eldritch Knight. I should be able to handle playing up though, since it's an older scenario.
Player Name: RainyDayNinja
PC Name: Finn Olthaleen
PFS#: 34572-17
Faction: Grand Lodge
Day Job: N/A
Normal/Slow Track: Normal
Notes: None

Bigguyinblack |

Sounds like low is the better option.
Sunae Druid 1 (prefers low)
Liminy Spickett Wizard 2
SirPeter Wizard 3
Giovanni di Pietro di Bernadone Cleric 4
kuey Bard 2
Finn Olthaleen Barbarian1/Wizard 1 (Only has low)
We average out to just over 2 and are firmly in tier 1-2.
We are low on frontliners but this is a season 0 so we should be alright.

Bigguyinblack |

I forgot we had a bard. Do you have Disable Device?
We have a Wizard, A Cleric, 2 Druids, one of the druids has an animal and the cleric seems to be a front liner. So about the only thing we don't have is someone to deal with traps.
I refuse to play a Rogue and I wouldn't have trapspotter at level 1 anyway.
I can use a trait to get Perception or Disable Device but not both.
So I would want to play a class that already has Perception.
I could add a 3rd druid to the mix. Or bring a Monk but with no Agile in core the monk would only have 14 or so dex. Although... No armor check penalty and it could afford to buy masterwork tools at first level.
Alright it will be weird but I'll play a Monk with Disable Device.

Player Name: Edward McGee
PC Name: Huratas Pelicore
PFS#: # 145373-20
Faction: The Exchange
Day Job: Profession Merchant: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Normal/Slow Track: normal
Notes: I don't have trap spotter sadly. I plan on buying MW tool for my profession so if I can do that before my day job add 2 to the roll.

Just wanted to lay a couple ground rules to have things be fair for dice rolls.
Concealment and Miss Chance: Miss chance due to concealment is rolled with 1d100, no matter the percentage miss chance. Total Concealment (or 50% miss chance) is a miss on a 1-50 and a hit on 51-100. There's no calling "high" or "low" on this... high is always a hit and low is always a miss. For regular concealment (or 20% miss chance), a miss would be 1-20 and hit would be 21-100. If the incorrect miss chance die is rolled (anything other than d100), I will reroll it as a 1d100 and take that result.
Mirror Image: The way this is rolled is by rolling a 1dX where X is the number of images + 1. So, if you have 3 images + yourself, the roll would be 1d4. If the attack roll connects, a roll of 1 is always a hit on the original target, and any other roll is a hit on an image. If the incorrect magnitude of die is rolled, I will reroll it as a the correct amount and take that result.
Will be starting shortly, and am going to Private Message those who have not posted their character in the main thread yet. If any of you need more time (i.e. you have the character in Gameday V special), I can hold off until the 12th, but will still post the introduction. Just let me know if this is the case.

Hey, so this scenario is almost done (lol... that's record time even for my games). I was curious if this same group wanted to get together for a second scenario right after this game. Perhaps I could do something more tier appropriate for the party (thinking a 1-7 game and aiming for the 3-4 subtier). I like this group, so would be fun to continue.
Could even do a series, like Before the Dawn (Levels 1-7, 2 parts, #2-01 & #2-02) or Shadow's Last Stand (Levels 1-7, 2 parts, #2-23 & #2-24).
Let me know what you think. :)

![]() |

I already played "Before the Dawn" parts I and II in CORE mode, but count me in if you run "Shadow's Last Stand"! When finish the current scenario, Malakiah will have 8 XP, so, he will still be in level 3.
I also have a core ranger level 4, and I'm finishing a scenario with him and in the end of it, he will have 11 XP, so, he will still be in level 4.
Both of characters will level up after the first part of the Shadow's Last Stand (supposing that this will be the chosen), but one for the 4th and another for the 5th.
And I'm curious if this party can survive in a 3-4 scenario... :P

Bigguyinblack |

Well I will be upgrading from a brand new level 1 monk to something a bit over tier.
If Radagast plays I'll bring my dwarven Monk 5 who is decent at grapple but not much else. Core Monks are a bit underpowered.
If Giovanni di Pietro di Bernadone (Cleric 4) comes along instead I'll being my combat focused Druid 6. His 26 Str constrictor snake may get squeezed a bit but he normally adventures as a 23 Str Deinonychus with pounce and shreds enemies.
A 3rd option if we really want me to stay in tier is a 4th level Kobold fighter.

![]() |

I would definitely be interested! A series would be fantastic! Haven't played any of those before, core or otherwise.
This is Celebdan's 1st level 2 game, so still solidly level 2. I do have a druid at level 4 though, but that would likely duplicate Radagast. (By the way, Radagast, Garn says hi!)

Here are the CHRONICLES. I also linked at the top.
@Radagast: I need your character info; what I need is listed in the original post on this Discussion thread.
Working on creating a separate thread for Shadow's Last Stand.
